Description
Espace Mayenne is a versatile events venue opened in 2021 in Laval (Mayenne), owned by the Département de la Mayenne. The architectural design is by Hérault Arnod Architectures. The construction cost amounted to 42 million euros.
The site combines two large multi-purpose halls (concerts, sport, trade shows), a convention hall, modular meeting rooms and 10,000 sqm of outdoor space. Its remit is regional: professional and consumer trade shows, concerts and live shows, and sporting competitions. The first event hosted was a Tour de France stage finish on 30 June 2021; the official opening took place on 23 October 2021.
Halls
Espace Mayenne is laid out across several modular spaces that can be combined to suit the needs of the event.
- Salle Mayenne: main modular hall with 1,000 to 5,000 seats, standing/seated configurations and sports formats.
- Salle Pégase: secondary hall accommodating up to 1,900 seats depending on configuration.
- Convention hall: a 493-seat auditorium for conventions and seminars.
- 3 modular meeting rooms: from 75 to 225 sqm each, dedicated to workshops, training sessions and break-out sessions.
- Reception spaces: from 70 to 1,800 people.
- Outdoor spaces: 10,000 sqm complemented by a velodrome and sports pitches.
Getting there and transport
- Car: A81 motorway exit, 5 minutes from the site.
- Train: Laval station on the Paris-Brest high-speed line, 10 minutes from the site by bus. Paris-Laval in around 1h15 by TGV.
- Plane: Laval-Entrammes airport, 15 minutes away.
- Bus: TUL network line serving the area.

Espace Mayenne combines the standard events functions of a regional venue:
- Event catering and catering offering.
- Modular rooms for break-outs, workshops and working meetings running alongside a trade show or convention.
- Multi-event configuration for simultaneous events (main trade show + convention + meetings).
- An integrated velodrome and sports pitches for the sporting competitions hosted.
News
The site hosts an annual volume of around 200 to 220 event days, split between professional events (~160 days), concerts and live shows (30 to 35) and sporting events (20 to 25). Among the recurring fixtures identified for 2026: the Salon de l'Habitat et du Jardin (11-13 September 2026), the French Table Tennis Championships (12-14 June 2026), the European Climbing Championships (28-30 August 2026), the Geek Life Festival, and a regular cultural programme (concerts, comedy, live shows).
Flagship trade shows
- Laval Virtual: the largest European event devoted to extended reality (XR), three days in April, with around 180 exhibitors and 5,000 attendees announced for the 2027 edition (7-9 April).
The Salon de l'Habitat et du Jardin (mid-September) and the Geek Life Festival are also among the recurring fixtures hosted at the site, with no dedicated Agoris listing to date.
