The Palais de Tokyo is a contemporary art centre located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, at 13 avenue du Président Wilson, opposite the Trocadéro and a stone's throw from the Seine and the Eiffel Tower. Inaugurated as part of the 1937 International Exhibition, the building offers a vast industrial shell of bare concrete that makes it one of the largest sites devoted to contemporary creation in Europe. Beyond its artistic programme, its generous volumes and distinctive architecture make it a venue for professional events, particularly in fashion and design.

Halls and surface areas

The Palais de Tokyo now spans roughly 22,000 sqm following the extension of its spaces, compared with 8,000 sqm previously. The whole presents itself as one large, modular volume rather than a succession of numbered halls, allowing bespoke scenography for the exhibitions, performances and events it hosts.

Access and transport

The entrance is at 13 avenue du Président Wilson, 75116 Paris. By metro, line 9 serves the Iéna and Alma Marceau stations, just a few minutes' walk away. The RER C stops at Pont de l'Alma. Several bus routes pass nearby (32, 42, 63, 72, 80, 82, 92), and a Vélib' station (Marceau Président Wilson) is located in front of the venue. Car parks can be found close to the site.

Services

The venue offers on-site catering and a detailed accessibility provision for visitors with disabilities. Its central location, in a dense hotel district between the Trocadéro and the Champs-Elysées, makes it easy for exhibitors and visitors to find accommodation in the immediate vicinity.
