Overview

The Parc des Expositions d'Angers is located in Verrières-en-Anjou, a 10-minute drive from the city centre. Opened on 24 May 1985 on a 40-hectare site, it offers 27,000 sqm of covered exhibition space (34,000 sqm in total with the Amphitéa and the Galerie de Liaison). The site is operated by Destination Angers, a local public company that also manages the Centre de Congrès Jean-Monnier in the city centre. Together they host around 600,000 visitors and more than 300 events each year.

Halls

The venue comprises six main modular, interconnected spaces:

  • Amphitéa: 4,000 sqm of modular space, up to 7,500 seats in a concert configuration. Also serves as an exhibition hall for large trade shows.
  • Grand Palais: 11,400 sqm, the main exhibition hall. Hosts plenary sessions and the general commissariats of large trade shows.
  • Ardesia: 4,000 sqm column-free, with a 7-metre ceiling height, bathed in natural light.
  • Novaxia: 2,800 sqm across two levels (1,500 sqm downstairs, 1,300 sqm upstairs), ideal for trade shows with separate zones.
  • Hall C: 4,500 sqm.
  • Galerie de Liaison: 1,000 sqm of glazed space for reception, catering or complementary exhibition use.

The Centre de Congrès Jean-Monnier, run by the same Destination Angers group, is a separate site located at 33 boulevard Carnot in the centre of Angers. Reopened on 4 May 2019 after renovation, it has a 1,200-seat auditorium and modular rooms (up to 18 depending on the configuration), at the heart of a 4.5-hectare botanical park.
