Key takeaways

  • "Le rendez-vous expert de la communauté Sûreté - Sécurité" (The expert gathering of the security community): APS (Alarmes Protection Sécurité) brings together suppliers, intermediaries (installers, integrators, consultants) and decision-makers responsible for protecting organisations against malicious acts.
  • Organiser: RX France, which runs the event directly.
  • Next edition: Salon APS, from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 September 2027, at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, hall 5.1.
  • 2025 audience (organiser's review, 21st edition): nearly 4,800 visits, up 5.5% on 2023, for 126 exhibitors. Highly qualified audience: 91% managers or executives, 71% decision-makers or influencers.
  • Scope: electronic and digital security, physical security, private security and related services (consultancy, competitive intelligence, crisis management).
  • Biennial rhythm in odd years, alternating with Expoprotection, RX France's other event, which covers risk prevention and management in even years.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The offering presented at APS covers four main families: electronic and digital security (access control, video protection, hypervision, intrusion detection, intercom systems), physical security (perimeter protection, locksmithing, protective equipment), private security (surveillance and guarding companies, matchmaking platforms) and consultancy services (security audits, competitive intelligence, crisis management, training).

On the visitor side, the organiser distinguishes 63% of intermediaries and suppliers (installers, distributors, integrators, consultants, design offices and engineering firms) from 37% of end clients. The security function dominates, but it is accompanied by buyers, facility managers and property portfolio managers.

APS's positioning should be distinguished from two other Parisian events in the sector. Expoprotection, also run by RX France, covers risk prevention and management across the board (occupational health and safety, climate and industrial risks, emergency response, fire safety) and is held in even years, from 3 to 5 November 2026 for its next edition. Milipol Paris addresses states' internal security and the security forces, an institutional market distinct from the protection of sites and businesses. On the purely cyber side, it is the Forum InCyber Europe that is the reference in France, with APS addressing cybersecurity only from the angle of its convergence with physical security.

Notable exhibitors

The official list of exhibitors is published by the organiser on the show's exhibitors page, searchable by solution. The 2025 edition brought together 126 exhibitors and more than 300 exclusive innovations.

Quality of the audience

According to the organiser's review, the 2025 edition counted nearly 4,800 visits, up 5.5% on 2023. The composition of the audience is the show's main selling point: 91% of visitors hold a position of responsibility and 71% are decision-makers or influencers. On its dedicated page, the organiser publishes a list of visiting companies that gives a sense of this base of buyers: Air France, Auchan, BNP Paribas, Carrefour, Disneyland Paris, Fnac Darty, Galeries Lafayette, Groupe La Poste, Leroy Merlin, LVMH, Michelin, Ministère de l'Intérieur, Musée du Louvre, Orange, RATP, Renault, SNCF and Thalès, among others.

Events & community

Conference programme

The 2025 programme was structured around two conference rooms and more than 35 conferences and workshops led by around fifty industry experts. The main themes of this edition: the convergence of cyber and security risks in the wake of the NIS2 and CRA regulations, the impact of artificial intelligence on the professions, new fire risks linked to batteries and photovoltaics, and the economic sustainability of private security.

The APS Academy, created in 2025, offers a daily themed cycle: one theme per day (cybersecurity, recruitment and training, video protection), three to four conferences per theme and an interactive multiple-choice quiz at the end of the session, with a diploma awarded to the winner. Several sessions were organised in partnership with the CNPP, the Groupement des Entreprises de Sécurité (GES), the GPMSE and the Agora des Directeurs de la Sécurité-Sûreté. Access to the conferences is free and included with the badge.

Awards and accolades

The show presents the Trophées APS, whose entries are reviewed by end-user experts who test the finalists' solutions on-site at the show. 2025 results published by the organiser: GOLD winner NOGEMA (AirGuard Zone, reducing collisions for roadside intervention personnel), SILVER winner Winkhaus France (blueEvo, access control), BRONZE winner FDI | LiNEGUARD (Matrix Ultra Prox, LED matrix badge reader), START-UP winner Semper Invicta (bulletproof and anti-knife vest). Two special mentions were awarded to ORASIO (Citadel, intelligent video compliant with the GDPR and the AI Act) and SeekGuard (recruitment for private security).

Community & networks

APS's ecosystem is built on the sector's professional organisations, present in the programme and among the institutional partners: GPMSE (electronic security), GES (private security), CNPP, AN2V, AGREPI, ACSES, IESSE, Syndicat du Conseil en Sûreté, SPAC Alliance, Fédération Française de la Cybersécurité and the association Femmes De La Sécurité. The 2025 edition was marked by the signing of a partnership between Femmes De La Sécurité and APSIGHE on increasing the presence of women in the security and fire safety professions.

On the press side, ANews Sécurité is among the media partners listed by the organiser.

The 2025 edition also structured three villages: the Village Technologies & IA (smart surveillance, robotics), the Espace Start-ups with around fifteen young companies, and the Pôle GES set up with France Travail to promote careers in private security. Demonstrations of cyberattacks on connected locks were carried out by the CNPP in collaboration with CLR Labs.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Choose the format: the organiser offers an à la carte stand (bare space, all-inclusive package, bespoke stand), a position in a themed village for sector visibility on a controlled budget, or the start-up village reserved for young companies.
  • Submit an application via the "I want to exhibit" form on the official website: sales start well in advance, with the 2025 edition showing 80% of spaces booked several months before opening.
  • Apply for the Trophées APS: finalist solutions are tested on-site by a jury of end users, which is the show's main editorial visibility lever.
  • Plan for lead capture: RX Lead Manager allows visitor badges to be scanned, and contacts to be qualified and rated, with real-time shared access for the team.
  • Anticipate the format of demonstrations: the show favours hands-on scenarios (perimeter protection, hypervision, surveillance drones and robots) over simple product display.

For the decision-making visitor

  • Plan targets in advance using the exhibitor list and the search-by-solution feature published on the official website.
  • Block out APS Academy slots in the morning: the daily themed cycle covers the essentials of a topic across three sessions, with takeaways.
  • One day is enough to cover hall 5.1, two if following a full conference cycle.
  • Look out for the Espace Start-ups and the Village Technologies & IA to keep an eye on emerging solutions.

Policy & CSR initiatives

APS publishes a "Nos engagements" (Our commitments) page built around two ambitions: reducing the event's environmental footprint and developing its accessibility and inclusivity, with a roadmap strengthened at each edition.

On the environmental side, the show is aligned with the commitments of its parent companies RX and RELX, signatories of the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge and the Climate Pledge: halving greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and Net Zero Carbon by 2040. The measures documented at event level cover the progressive reduction of carpeting and systematic recycling of residual carpeting, the application of UNIMEV's energy sobriety plan for professional events, the removal of single-use plastic items (bags, tableware, bottles, giveaways) with water fountains made available, the use of reusable and recyclable materials for common areas and signage, and a catering offer systematically including an alternative to red meat. Two quantified targets are set for each edition: a 10% reduction in waste and a 5% increase in recovery and reuse compared with the previous edition.

On the inclusion side, the organiser guarantees wheelchair access on all stands, takes into account the specific needs of speakers (access, sound and light levels) and publishes a code of conduct as well as an RX guide to inclusive events. It also states a requirement for representativeness on speaker panels. The 2025 edition extended this approach with the Femmes De La Sécurité / APSIGHE partnership and the Pôle GES on the attractiveness of private security careers, set up with France Travail.

The venue provides an additional guarantee: the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles is operated by Viparis, the world's first operator certified ISO 20121 across all its Parisian sites, covering waste management, energy efficiency and responsible purchasing.

Trajectory analysis

APS occupies a distinctive position in the French security landscape: that of a mid-sized show that has chosen density over volume. With 126 exhibitors and nearly 4,800 visits in 2025, it does not play in the same category as the major international security events, but it concentrates almost all of the French decision-makers in the security function into three days, reflected in the 71% of decision-makers and influencers reported by the organiser.

The 20th edition in 2023 marked the show's return after a break in the cycle, with no edition held in 2021. Since then, the trajectory has been one of continuous growth: an increase in the number of exhibitors between 2023 and 2025, a 5.5% rise in attendance, and above all a renewal rate of more than 50% new exhibitors in 2025, a sign of a market in flux. The show's director in 2025, Jean-François Sol-Dourdin, pointed to two structuring dynamics in the trade press: the arrival of private security providers at the show, absent in 2019 and present in around ten in 2025, and the growing convergence between physical security and the IT world, both in terms of solutions and players.

It is this convergence that carves out APS's own space among its neighbours. Where Expoprotection covers risk in the broad sense and Milipol Paris the state security market, APS remains focused on protecting organisations against malicious acts, with an increasingly pronounced technological emphasis: artificial intelligence applied to video protection, hypervision, surveillance drones and robots, perimeter protection. The enrichment of the programme, now including two conference rooms and the creation of the APS Academy in 2025, confirms a repositioning of the show towards content and training as much as towards product display.
