Agoris analysis · updated October 2026

Key points

  • Architect@Work Marseille is not an open trade show: it is an invitation-only event for architects, interior architects and other construction specifiers. The products on show are innovations selected by a jury of architects and interior architects.
  • Next edition: Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 June 2027, 10am to 7pm, in Hall 8 (Palais de l'Europe) of Parc Chanot. Exhibitor registration is open.
  • Organiser: Expo Conseil, based in Lille and listed by the Belgian Xpo Group among its companies for France; Architect@Work is part of this group's portfolios, and the group itself came under the control of Easyfairs Belgium on 31 July 2026.
  • Biennial frequency, in odd-numbered years, in May or June since 2019. The French network also includes editions in Paris, Lyon, Nantes and Bordeaux.
  • Results of the latest edition, the 6th, in May 2025: 1,603 on-site visitors, 300 products presented by 110 manufacturers, under the theme “RESSOURCES DU SUD”.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

Manufacturers and makers of products for building and interior fit-out, coming to present their new products to specifiers in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. On the organiser's platform, innovations are sorted into four families: technical equipment, building envelope and structural work, interior finishes, and software and digital services. According to the organiser's exhibitor brochure, participation is restricted to manufacturers with national distribution and exclusive national distributors.

The selection principle shapes what is on offer: only products approved by the selection committee are exhibited. A manufacturer therefore does not come to show its catalogue, but a handful of new products.

Notable exhibitors

No exhibitor list has been published for 2027 as of 10 October 2026. The official list of exhibitors and innovations for the 2025 edition can still be consulted on the organiser's website: 110 manufacturers had presented 300 products there. Nothing indicates at this stage which of them will return in 2027.

Visitor quality

Access is restricted to architects, interior architects and other construction specifiers, by invitation only. Entry is free after online registration with the code shown on the invitation; a visitor without a code can request one from the organiser by email, and the badge must be printed before coming. Final-year students in architecture and interior architecture are welcome. The organiser's exhibitor brochure, shared across all Architect@Work events, lists eight visitor categories, including architects and interior architects, with no breakdown in figures specific to Marseille.

The 2025 edition welcomed 1,603 on-site visitors. In 2023, the organiser counted 1,802 on-site visitors and 769 online, 2,571 in total, and described it as the most successful edition since its arrival in Marseille. No OJS certification or third-party audit of attendance is published.

Activities & community

Conference programme

The 2027 programme has not been published as of 10 October 2026: the organiser states that the A@W Marseille steering committee is working on it. For reference, the 2025 edition, under the theme “RESSOURCES DU SUD”, brought together talks by Atelier Architecture Perraudin, the Fédération Française des Professionnels de la Pierre Sèche, Land Architecture, bkCLUB Architectes and the Innovathèque, as well as a talk by Envirobatbdm with Combas and Filiater.

As in 2023, Fibois Sud organised a round table, “Construction bois et frugalité heureuse”, with the firms Tout Va Bien Architecture and R+4 Architectes, followed by the presentation of the Prix Régional de la Construction Bois 2025. In 2023, the theme was “Architectures vivantes”.

Exhibitions and related events

In 2025, the materials exhibition “Sobriexpo - Moins c'est mieux”, produced by the Innovathèque, focused on the circular economy and environmental sobriety. The photography exhibition “MATERIA architectures”, co-produced by the Pavillon de l'Arsenal, Les Grands Ateliers, amàco and the Association ouvrière des Compagnons du Devoir et du Tour de France, was shown as a touring exhibition in Marseille for the first time; it covers contemporary architecture in earth, stone and plant fibres.

The 5 June 2025 review also mentions a work by the artist Fabrice Serafino and a bookshop area run by Librairie Rupture & Imbernon. The announced programme also included a Fibois Sud exhibition devoted to the cedar, a Mediterranean species for the architecture of tomorrow, and the continuous screening by the Architectures en ligne.org platform of a selection of talks recorded in the PACA region. Alongside the 2025 edition, the Syndicat des architectes 13 (SA13) and the Société des Architectes had announced the architects' summer party, scheduled for Wednesday 21 May from 7pm at the Palais des Arts of Parc Chanot.

In 2023, the event hosted the exhibition “BIOM - Capter le vivant” by the Innovathèque du FCBA, the photography exhibition “TerraFibra Architectures”, a Fibois Sud exhibition on regional timber species and products, and the presentation of the Prix Régional de la Construction Bois. No exhibition has yet been announced for 2027.

Community & networks

As of 10 October 2026, the event page lists as partners L'Ameublement français, the Innovathèque, UNAID, Unsfa, SA13 and the agency Creative Fo(u)r, which designs the stand concept for the Architect@Work network. This list is undated: it does not confirm anything for 2027.

On the press side, the page lists eighteen media partners, including AMC, D'A, Archistorm, Archicrée, Exé, Batiactu, Batiweb, Architecture Bois, Séquences Bois, 5 Façades, Formae, L'Agenceur and Verre & Menuiserie.

Architect@Work presents itself as the largest community of architects in Europe: the official calendar lists editions in 13 European countries. Specifiers have an online platform, A@W Xperience, which extends the event.

On site: what to know

The 2027 edition takes place in Hall 8, Palais de l'Europe, of Parc Chanot, Rond-Point du Prado, 13008 Marseille, from 10am to 7pm on both days. Snacks and drinks are offered on site.

Metro line 2 serves the Rond-Point du Prado station, opposite the park, and several bus lines stop there. From Saint-Charles station, metro line 2 goes directly to the park. The park has a supervised car park with 1,580 spaces, accessible via gate A (Rond-Point du Prado) and gate B (Square Paul Mélizan). Two self-service bike stations are nearby.

How much does it cost to exhibit

Expo Conseil does not publish the participation fee for Architect@Work Marseille online. The amounts below, excluding the visibility options on A@W Xperience, are indicative sector orders of magnitude for a specifier event of this format. They are in no way the official Architect@Work prices.

Visibility options on A@W Xperience (prices published by the organiser: from €1,750 for an article with newsletter to €3,800 for the most complete package)€0€3,800

According to the organiser's exhibitor brochure, the price includes an “all-inclusive and uniform” stand (walls, grey carpet, banner with the brand name, multimedia console, lighting, insurance, exhibitor badges, parking passes, basic wifi), the approved innovation in the catalogue, a marketing campaign aimed at the target visitors, an invitation tracking dashboard, the licence for the A@W Leads badge-scanning app and visibility on A@W Xperience (stated value of €750). The published terms and conditions provide for two regimes: standard conditions, with a cancellation fee of 40% of the participation cost more than 3 months before opening, 70% more than 6 weeks before and 100% less than six weeks before; and premium conditions, charged at 10% of the participation price, which entitle the exhibitor to a voucher for the full value in case of cancellation at least six weeks before the show. Discounts of 15% and 20% apply for two and three articles on A@W Xperience. Actual prices to be requested from the organiser.

Preparing your visit

For exhibitors

  • Book early: exhibitor registrations for 2027 are open, and the FAQ mentions an early bird rate for the visibility options.
  • Choose between standard and premium conditions, depending on the risk of cancellation.
  • Plan products around the selection committee: put forward innovations rather than a full range.
  • Mobilise your own network of specifiers: access is by invitation only, and the exhibitor brochure mentions free invitations for exhibitors.
  • For a manufacturer targeting the South-East, combine Marseille with Architect@Work Lyon, whose next edition is announced for spring 2028.

For specifier visitors

  • Register online with the invitation code, or request it from the organiser, then print your badge.
  • Favour metro line 2: the Rond-Point du Prado station is opposite the park.
  • Keep the A@W Xperience platform for after the show: the innovations on show remain available there.

CSR policy & initiatives

At event level, the Architect@Work website publishes no formal CSR policy, no carbon footprint assessment and no ISO 20121 certification specific to the Marseille edition. Sobriety and eco-construction are, however, present in the content: an exhibition on the circular economy, architecture in earth, stone and plant fibres, and timber construction. This is programming, to be distinguished from an organisational commitment.

At group level, Xpo Group states the ambition of being CO₂-neutral by 2035 and details actions at its Kortrijk site in Belgium: heat pumps and LED lighting, among others. These measures concern its own site, not the venues that host its events in France.

At venue level, Marseille events, the operator of Marseille Chanot, is ISO 20121 certified for venue management and for hosting events, and the website refers to the commitments of the GL events Venues network.

Trajectory analysis

Six editions have been held since 2013, the last five (2015 to 2025) at Parc Chanot: the venue of the first edition in 2013 is not stated in the sources consulted. The rhythm is biennial, in odd-numbered years, with a four-year gap between 2019 and 2023: the next edition, announced for a time by the organiser for spring 2022, was finally held in May 2023. The show moved from autumn (October 2015, November 2017) to spring from 2019.

On-site attendance fell between 2023 and 2025, from 1,802 to 1,603 visitors (around -11%), and the offer narrowed from 120 to 110 manufacturers and from 350 to 300 products. The organiser has not published an online attendance figure for 2025, which makes the 2023 total (2,571) non-comparable. Over the longer term, the published results place on-site attendance at roughly 1,400 to 1,800 visitors: the scale of a regional specifier event, not that of a major trade show.

For a manufacturer, Marseille is the only stop in the French network on the Mediterranean coast. It alternates with Lyon, which takes place in spring of even-numbered years: between them, these editions offer a specifier event every spring in the south-eastern quarter of France. Bordeaux and Nantes, for their part, take place in November.

Unless otherwise stated, all factual data in this listing comes from the organiser's official website (architectatwork.com).
