Key takeaways

  • The Assises Nationales des Commissaires aux Comptes are the annual gathering of the statutory audit profession, organised by the Compagnie Nationale des Commissaires aux Comptes (CNCC). It is a two-day professional congress: plenary conferences, training workshops and an exhibition of partners whose offers are aimed at audit firms.
  • Next edition: the 37th Assises, from Monday 7 to Tuesday 8 December 2026, at CNIT Forest, in Paris La Défense. Opening from 10:00am to 7:30pm on Monday, followed by the Assises evening event, and from 8:00am to 6:00pm on Tuesday.
  • Calendar change: the 2026 edition takes place on a Monday and Tuesday, whereas the previous five were held on a Thursday and Friday.
  • Organiser: the CNCC, the representative body of the statutory auditor profession in France. Organisation is entrusted by mandate to the agency MCI group France, and the sale of partner spaces to APAR, the Assises' sales agency.
  • Annual frequency according to the official website. The published history documents no edition between November 2018 and December 2021; the sales agency mentions a break in 2020. The congress changes city from one edition to the next: La Défense in 2021, Rennes in 2022, Paris in 2023, Grenoble in 2024, Bordeaux in 2025, and La Défense again in 2026.
  • Results of the last edition, in Bordeaux on 4 and 5 December 2025: 1,300 statutory auditors gathered, according to the sales agency. For 2026, the sales agency expects 1,500 participants and the official website announces more than 35 partners on a 1,700 sqm exhibition.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The official website presents the Assises as a place of visibility for partners "whose product and service offers are intended for audit firms". The exhibition is an integral part of the event: it covers 1,700 sqm at the heart of the congress, with rest and coworking areas, and a conference space set up on the exhibition floor, the Agora, where talks and product demonstrations follow one another.

For the 2025 edition, the sales agency described software publishers, consulting firms, data experts, cybersecurity specialists and insurance players. The Connect Pack, the entry-level package, is aimed in particular at partners whose offer covers non-financial information, cybersecurity or AI. Several organisations from the accounting profession are also among the partners.

Notable exhibitors

The 2026 partners page lists around thirty of them as of 3 October 2026, sorted by pack level. Silver partners: Caseware France, ECF (Experts comptables et commissaires aux comptes de France), IFEC, Le Village Connecté, Lefebvre Dalloz, Sophiassur, the Compagnie des Conseils et Experts Financiers (CCEF), the CNOEC, DataSnipper and Gest On Line.

Bronze partners: Arc Capital, CAVEC, ECMA, ENOES, LCB Consulting, MyAuditPilot, Thomson Reuters, ANECS & CJEC, REMUP, Triactis, H2A and the Cercle Coligny. Connect Pack: Deal Makr, Datayoyo, Caudia, Estimermonentreprise.fr, Legapass, Vernalys Solutions and Intelligent Audit. No Gold-level partner appears on that date.

The layout plan published by the sales agency places the exhibition in the Baobab hall, on level B of the CNIT, with the Agora, coworking areas and an associations area.

Visitor quality

The audience is that of a regulated profession. The registration categories describe it precisely: statutory auditors, statutory auditors registered for less than five years, audit firm staff, permanent staff of the regional companies, trainee statutory auditors and trainee experts-comptables (French chartered accountants), experts-comptables mémorialistes. Beneficiaries of the CNCC's plan Jeunes (youth plan) and trainees of the CAFCAC (certificat d'aptitude aux fonctions de commissaire aux comptes, the certificate of aptitude for the functions of statutory auditor) have their participation paid for by the CNCC.

The CNCC states that it serves more than 11,200 professionals spread across the whole country. The congress also shows an outward-looking ambition: strengthening the profession's ties with business leaders.

Attendance figures for past editions come from the results published by the sales agency after each edition, rounded ("nearly 1,300", "more than 1,200") and with no published third-party audit; the 1,500 participants for 2026 are an announcement by the sales agency, not a result.

Events & community

Conference programme

The theme of the 37th Assises is "AI: Innovation and Audit", according to the sales agency. In the editorial, the president of the CNCC explains having wanted not to reduce innovation to its sole technological dimension: artificial intelligence is presented as a revealer of more structural issues, from the agility of firms to their relations with clients and staff, up to the normative framework of the profession.

The published programme includes three plenary conferences of one and a half hours: on Monday at 11:00am and 4:15pm, on Tuesday at 11:15am. Their titles and speakers had not been published as of 3 October 2026. In 2025, in Bordeaux, the plenaries covered three strands according to the sales agency: how to steer and govern an organisation, the growth and transformation dynamics affecting business models, and the needs expressed by business leaders. Between the plenaries, workshops run in parallel over four slots, on Monday at 2:00pm and on Tuesday at 9:00am, 2:00pm and 4:00pm.

The 2026 workshops cover accounting updates, updates on standards and doctrine, legal updates, cybersecurity, e-invoicing after its first months of application, generative AI in audit firms, the use of AI in valuation work and support for mid-sized companies (ETI) and SMEs on their sustainability journey. On Monday at 6:00pm, two workshop-conferences are aimed at CAFCAC trainees and newly registered statutory auditors.

Workshops and continuing education

This is what sets the Assises apart from a trade show: the congress allows participants to validate hours of the statutory auditors' mandatory training. The workshops are run by CNCC Formation, the CNCC's training body. For a registration made before Thursday 3 December 2026 at 11:59pm, taking part on both days allows attendance at four one-and-a-half-hour workshops and validation of 6 hours of training; the more than 4 hours of plenary conferences give rise to an attendance certificate counted in the colloquium-conference hours.

Validation requires an account on the JINIUS platform, which is mandatory, and a knowledge test for each workshop. Participants then get free access to the e-learning versions of the workshops they did not attend, on the CNCC Formation website, during the first quarter of 2027. According to the sales agency, this scheme dates from the 33rd Assises, in 2022: it is the first edition whose workshops were counted towards mandatory training hours.

Community & networks

The Assises evening event takes place on Monday 7 December at La Défense: an aperitif cocktail on the exhibition floor, a comedy show at 7:30pm, then a dinner cocktail and dance party from 8:30pm. It is included in the registration.

The CNCC relies on its own channels to bring the event to life: more than 20,000 followers on its LinkedIn account and more than 26,000 on its social networks according to the sales agency, a daily newsletter sent every morning to participants and the Audit&Cie app.

On site: what you need to know

The congress is held at CNIT Forest, 2 place de la Défense, in Puteaux. The whole venue is wheelchair accessible. The Assises reception desk, the cloakroom and the registration counters are on level A; pre-registered attendees collect their badge at self-service kiosks using the QR code received by email.

By public transport, the La Défense - Grande Arche stop is served by metro line 1 and RER A and E (exit 4 Parvis Esplanade), tramway T2 and Transilien lines L and U, as well as by many bus lines. From Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, allow 30 minutes by taxi, or take the RER B to Châtelet - Les Halles then the RER A; from Orly, 40 minutes by taxi, or Orlyval, RER B then RER A. By car, the Indigo car park is at 19 avenue de la Division Leclerc, in Puteaux.

Lunches on Monday and Tuesday and the coffee breaks are included in the registration. A cash machine is located on level -2 of the CNIT Forest shopping centre, and the CNIT's public WiFi network is free. For accommodation, Revolugo is the official partner agency for individual bookings; group bookings, from ten people, go through a form on the website.

How much it costs to exhibit

Between the Silver and Gold packs, the gap is not only the doubling of the surface area: the Gold pack adds priority in choosing the stand location, a clip broadcast at the end of the plenaries, a full advertising page instead of a half page, a special newsletter sent to registrants, three LinkedIn posts instead of one and six exhibitor badges instead of three.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Choose the pack also according to the free registrations included: five for the Gold pack, two for Silver, one for Bronze and Connect.
  • Concentrate effort on the time spent on the exhibition floor, as set out in the programme: lunch cocktails on Monday from 12:30pm to 2:00pm and on Tuesday from 12:45pm to 2:00pm, breaks on Monday from 3:30pm to 4:15pm and on Tuesday from 10:30am to 11:15am then from 3:30pm to 4:00pm, aperitif cocktail on Monday from 5:45pm to 7:30pm. Apart from the welcome coffee when the doors open, the daytime programme takes place in plenary or in workshops; on Monday, two workshop-conferences from 6:00pm to 7:00pm take place during the aperitif cocktail.
  • Plan ahead for the speaking slot: in 2026, talks in the dedicated area, 20 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of discussion, had to be submitted by 14 September at the latest, and the format is shown as full.
  • Go through the exhibitor technical guide for audiovisual and catering: the CSR approach of the edition recommends the local providers listed there.
  • According to the sales agency's general terms of sale, a 50% deposit is due on receipt of the invoice and the balance by 7 October 2026 at the latest; cancellation is charged at 25% of the amount including VAT up to 7 October, 50% from 8 October to 9 November and 100% from 10 November 2026.

For the decision-making visitor

  • Since 1 October 2026, the standard rate applies: €720 incl. VAT for a statutory auditor, €360 incl. VAT for a statutory auditor registered for less than five years, an audit firm employee or a permanent staff member of a regional company, €120 incl. VAT for a trainee statutory auditor, a trainee expert-comptable or an expert-comptable mémorialiste. Registration includes the conferences, workshops, exhibition, lunches and the evening event.
  • Register before Thursday 3 December at 11:59pm to be able to validate the 6 hours of training, and create your JINIUS account in advance. Workshop choices can no longer be changed once registration is finalised.
  • Bear the conditions in mind: no cancellation is refunded from 1 October 2026, name changes are not accepted but treated as new registrations to be paid, and any change to a registration or booking is charged €40 incl. VAT per registration.
  • For a firm registering a team, the list of participants of a group registration must be finalised before Monday 16 November 2026.

CSR policy & initiatives

The Assises CSR page sets out an approach by the CNCC for the 2026 edition, centred on reducing the event's carbon footprint. It rests on five good practices that partners and exhibitors can adopt voluntarily: favouring digital over printing, with a prior questionnaire used to limit posters and flyers; favouring the least polluting transport; renting audiovisual equipment from the local provider listed in the exhibitor technical guide; using the local caterer listed in that same guide; working towards zero waste, with selective sorting points across the whole site.

The mandated agency, MCI group France, states that it has been ISO 20121 certified since 2022 and applies a responsible purchasing policy. The same page details the approaches of the selected providers: Grand Chemin Traiteur, presented as ISO 20121 certified, says it recovers 85% of the waste collected and has redistributed more than 3,000 meals in 2025 with SAVR; the printer ICA works 99.9% on PEFC- or FSC-certified paper and holds the Print Ethic and Imprim'vert labels; the D&P group reports an ISO 20121 certification process, without the page specifying whether it has been completed. Viparis, of which CNIT Forest is one of the sites and which also appears among the providers cited, recalls having been the first events player certified ISO 20121, in 2014, and aims for a 50% reduction in its carbon footprint by 2030 compared with 2016.

These commitments are those of the agency, the providers and the venue. The Assises themselves publish neither their own certification nor a carbon footprint assessment, and the good practices asked of exhibitors remain optional. Sustainability is also a professional subject for the audit profession, with a workshop devoted to the sustainability journey of mid-sized companies and SMEs: it is programme content, not to be confused with an organisational commitment.

Trajectory analysis

Since the resumption in December 2021, after a break in 2020 according to the sales agency, attendance has fluctuated between a little over 1,000 and a little over 1,500 participants. The Maison de la Mutualité edition, in Paris in 2023, is the only one to exceed 1,500; regional editions range from 1,100 in Rennes, at the Couvent des Jacobins, to 1,300 in Bordeaux, passing through more than 1,200 at Alpexpo. The 2021 resumption, at the Espace Grande Arche in La Défense, drew a little over 1,000. The target of 1,500 participants announced for 2026 matches the Paris level of 2023. The sales agency had already announced 1,500 participants for 2025, before a result of 1,300. The history published online documents no edition between the one at the Palais du Pharo in Marseille, in November 2018, and the 2021 resumption.

The exhibition has followed a less linear trajectory: 30 partners in 2021, 23 in Rennes in 2022, 25 announced in 2023, then 35 in Grenoble in 2024, 35 announced for 2025 and more than 35 announced for 2026. The partner offer has included a themed package since at least 2023: a corner reserved for CSR and cybersecurity solutions in 2023, a Corner Pack on three themes (non-financial information, cybersecurity, AI) in 2025, a Connect Pack on the same themes in 2026. According to the sales agency, the themes of the Assises were "Building a society of trust" in 2021, sustainability in 2022, attractiveness and skills in 2023, artificial intelligence in 2024, growth dynamics with business leaders in 2025 and AI again in 2026.

Since the 33rd Assises in 2022, participation in the workshops has counted towards mandatory training hours, according to the sales agency; the 2026 programme includes three plenaries and four workshop slots, and the exhibition hosts the breaks, the cocktails and the Agora. The switch to a Monday and Tuesday in 2026 breaks with the Thursday-Friday pattern of every documented edition since 2018. The dates and venue of the 2027 edition had not been announced at the time of writing.
