Key takeaways

  • BTP Expo Amiens is the professional trade show for building and public works in the Somme: a one-day meeting point for construction firms, suppliers, project managers, local authorities and social landlords, under the banner "Le BTP au service du territoire !".
  • Next edition: Thursday 14 October 2027 in Amiens. The 2027 venue has not yet been announced: the organiser does not publish one on any element dated 2027. The 2026 edition was held at Mégacité, the exhibition and convention centre in Amiens.
  • Organiser: SO INFINITY, an events agency based in Amiens, co-organising with FFB Somme (the Somme building federation).
  • Annual frequency. The previous edition was held at Mégacité on Thursday 15 October 2026; a 2025 edition also took place.
  • The trade show takes place on the same day as Empreinte Expo Amiens, a sustainable-solutions trade show from the same organiser, as in 2026 when the two shared Mégacité. The two events share the Village des donneurs d'ordre (the buyers' village), and the Speed Meeting Business was common to both in 2026; the website does not name either as the main event, but BTP Expo is the larger of the two by the number of exhibitors announced.
  • Format announced by the organiser: nearly 150 local exhibitors and more than 2,500 professionals expected over the day. These are targets, not a published results report.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

BTP Expo is a local trade show: the organiser speaks of local exhibitors and of an event designed for the businesses and authorities of the area. The offer covers the whole construction chain: general contractors and finishing trades, building-materials merchants, equipment and plant hire and sales, technical inspection and surveys, insurance, training, temporary staffing, signage and business services.

Institutional buyers also exhibit to make themselves known to businesses: local authorities, social landlords and training bodies for the building trades.

Notable exhibitors

The 2027 exhibitors page already shows around 170 logos, without dating these participations: read it as a panorama of recent exhibitors rather than a confirmed 2027 list. It includes major construction groups present in the region, such as Bouygues Bâtiment Grand Ouest, several Eiffage entities and companies of the Léon Grosse group, building-materials manufacturers such as Knauf, Rockwool or Ursa, merchants such as Point P, as well as the Somme departmental council, Amiens Métropole and BTP CFA Picardie.

Visitor quality

The trade show is for professionals only. The organiser lists the target audiences: building and public works companies, local authorities (elected officials and technical staff), social landlords, property developers, manufacturers, materials merchants, equipment and plant suppliers, project managers and project-management assistants, architects and design offices, craftspeople, training bodies, project owners and specialist service providers.

No OJS certification or audited attendance figure is published. The figure of 2,500 professionals expected is shared by the two trade shows held that day: the organiser also uses it for Empreinte Expo and for the joint 2026 event.

Programme & community

Highlights

The organiser builds the day around three highlights: the exhibition area, the Village des donneurs d'ordre and a cycle of round tables and conferences.

The Village des donneurs d'ordre is the most useful feature for an exhibitor. It connects the area's major buyers with local service providers and suppliers through 10-minute meetings, with 15 minutes between two meetings. Places are limited and reserved as a priority for exhibitors; requests are handled in order of arrival and according to how well the requester's activity matches the needs expressed. The buyers taking part in 2027 have not yet been published.

The Speed Meeting Business is offered by the organiser before the stands open, with separate registration through the Trop Event platform; its renewal in 2027 is not confirmed by any page dated 2027. In 2026 it was shared by BTP Expo and Empreinte Expo: each participant had one minute to introduce themselves before moving to another table.

The 2027 conference programme has not been published.

Community & networks

FFB Somme, the departmental building federation, co-organises the trade show, which gives it a direct footing in the Somme business community.

The trade show is part of a series run by SO INFINITY under the Mon Expo Pro brand, which includes Business Expo, BTP Expo, Empreinte Expo and BtoB Expo in several cities in Normandy and Hauts-de-France. BTP Expo also exists in Rouen, with an edition announced for 3 December 2026. The figures in this listing relate only to the Amiens edition.

On site: what you need to know

The venue for the 2027 edition has not yet been announced: the header of the 2027 page says only Amiens. The 2026 edition was held at Mégacité, avenue de l'Hippodrome, and the text of the 2027 page, carried over from 2026, still refers to it; this is not a venue announcement for 2027. To be reconfirmed on the official website.

The organiser publishes the running order of a typical day, without dating it: Speed Meeting Business from 7:00 to 9:00, public opening and inauguration at 9:00, conferences from 9:30 to 17:00, catering from 11:30 to 15:00, Village des donneurs d'ordre from 9:30 to 16:30, closing at 17:00, then stand dismantling until 20:00. The exact times for the 2027 edition remain to be confirmed on the official website.

How much it costs to exhibit

SO INFINITY does not publish a readable price list online. The registration file and the sales brochure are available from the Become an exhibitor page, and the file is to be returned to the organiser by e-mail. A partnership file is offered separately on the Become a partner page.

At a one-day trade show with a strong local focus, the main cost is not the stand area but your team's time: preparing for the Village des donneurs d'ordre meetings and the Speed Meeting in advance matters more than the stand fit-out.

Preparing your visit

For exhibitors

  • Request a slot at the Village des donneurs d'ordre as soon as you register: places are limited and allocated in order of arrival.
  • Prepare a short pitch suited to 10-minute meetings and to the one-minute presentation of the Speed Meeting.
  • Bear in mind that Empreinte Expo runs the same day: an eco-construction or energy-renovation offer may appeal to both audiences.
  • Plan for dismantling the same evening (the published typical day puts it from 17:00).

For decision-maker visitors

  • If the Speed Meeting is renewed, arrive early: in 2026 it took place before the stands opened and required separate registration.
  • For a public project owner or a social landlord, the trade show makes it possible to meet, in a single day, local businesses able to respond to tenders.
  • Combine your visit with Empreinte Expo, on the same day, for energy-transition topics.

CSR policy & initiatives

The trade show's website has no CSR or sustainability section, and no ISO 20121 certification for the event is published. The ecological transition theme is carried by the neighbouring trade show, Empreinte Expo, rather than by BTP Expo itself.

At organiser level, SO INFINITY publishes an agency CSR policy: priority use of nearby providers, caterers working with local produce, waste reduction at events, and sponsorship actions. The agency states that it has obtained an EcoVadis label, without specifying the level or the year.

No published environmental initiative was found for Mégacité, the venue of the 2026 edition.

Trajectory analysis

The trade show has found its formula: a single day in the autumn (at Mégacité in 2026), backed by the departmental building federation, and paired since at least 2026 with Empreinte Expo. This pairing widens the audience towards players in the ecological transition, a subject that has become central for construction firms with energy renovation.

For 2026, the organiser announced nearly 250 exhibitors across the two trade shows combined, with no published split between BTP Expo and Empreinte Expo. No audited attendance figure has been published for past editions.

Dates for the 2028 edition have not been announced.
