Who exhibits

Typical profile

The offer is organised by the organiser into five families: industrial subcontracting (sheet metal work, boilermaking, cutting, foundry, stamping, plastics and composites), production equipment (machine tools, cutting tools, software), robotics, cobotics and additive manufacturing, industrial supplies, and services to industry. The detailed classification published on the website goes down to process level: wire electrical discharge machining, water-jet cutting, lost-wax casting, orbital welding, electronic board wiring, portable 3D measurement.

On the visitor side, the organiser targets site managers, purchasing departments, production and manufacturing functions, new works, maintenance, quality, R&D, design offices, methods offices, HSE and logistics. The two motivations highlighted are the search for customers or suppliers, and economic and technological monitoring.

Notable exhibitors

The full list of exhibitors from the previous edition can be consulted on the trade show's official portal, with a search engine by company.

The 2026 edition mixed group sites with a fabric of regional SMEs: ArcelorMittal Ommis, Albéa Tubes France, 3D Metal Industrie, Arden Plast, Ardennes CN Aero, Arti Production and Aprex Solutions exhibited alongside the local economic development agencies Marne Développement and Ardennes Développement, as well as the APEC. Ardennes Développement, for its part, counted around twenty Ardennes-based companies exhibiting in 2026, including AFS Sedan, Armytec 3D, La Fonte Ardennaise, La Frappe Ardennaise, Fonderie Nicolas, Mecarden, Platinium 3D and Teruel.

Quality of the audience

The 2026 edition brought together 3,000 visitors over two days, for nearly 200 exhibitors (source: Ardennes Développement, 5 May 2026). These are the orders of magnitude of a regional trade show, compared with the tens of thousands of visits at a national event: the promise here lies in the density of local buyers, not in volume.

The ambition set out at the launch was explicit. Nicolas Grosdidier, president of the UIMM Champagne-Ardenne in April 2026, explained that the idea behind the trade show was to build a broad Strasbourg-Paris axis for subcontracting, dedicated to industrial firms, with two days of local proximity: the aim being to foster contacts and connections and to generate business between the different players in the industrial sector (source: Matot Braine, 27 April 2026). The same article notes the recruitment pressure running through the sector: according to Sébastien Guenet, director of the UIMM, around 44,000 recruitments a year are needed in the Grand Est between 2025 and 2030.

Events & community

The programme of the first edition

The trade show aims to be demonstrative: machines and robots running in the aisles, a TV set with live broadcast, and a series of themed villages.

The AI village brought together six experts in artificial intelligence and data, including solution providers listed by Grand Est Développement: Namkin, Monstock, Digitallia, Aprex Solutions, OptimAI and Pollux.

The "Avec l'Industrie" pavilion occupied 150 m² dedicated to the discovery of trades, with virtual reality headsets covering the 29 branches of industry, an interactive quiz and a 360 photobooth. Ten branches held their own activity there: metallurgy, textiles, chemicals, plastics, quarrying and materials, glass and crystal, paper and board, energy, furniture, rubber. 28 April was dedicated to welcoming 450 secondary school pupils and students, and 29 April to welcoming jobseekers.

The Magical Industry Tour, the UIMM Champagne-Ardenne's mobile unit developed with the Région Grand Est, offered a guidance trail on tablets leading to a suggestion of trades and training courses. A plastics industry truck completed the set-up.

On the research side, the Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne organised, through its InnoRem university innovation hub, a Meet & Match Innovation session on Tuesday 28 April from 2pm to 4.30pm: fifteen-minute speed-dating sessions between industrial firms and laboratories, supplemented by a presentation of technologies developed in the labs.

Lastly, the industry battles pitted EiSINe students against industrial leaders on three topics: "What place for industry in tomorrow's world?", "Are the pursuit of profit and ethics compatible?" and "Artificial intelligence: threat or opportunity for industry?"

The trade show's awards

Six trophies were awarded on the TV set in 2026, made by students from the UIMM Champagne-Ardenne's training centre (Pôle Formation) and presented by Franck Leroy, president of the Région Grand Est. The categories and winners published by the organiser are as follows:

  • Production robotics: Ardennes CN
  • Energy efficiency / decarbonisation: Les Établissements Compas
  • Co-contracting project / Inter-company partnership: 3D Métal Industrie, Armytec 3D and Platinium 3D
  • Innovative local solution: V.BIOTECH
  • Best stand: Groupe ATS

The sixth trophy rewarded the industry battles, won by the EiSINe engineering school (source: Ardennes Développement).

The business convention

This is the trade show's central mechanism. A buyers' village set up at the heart of the exhibition hosts pre-arranged B2B meetings between exhibitors and contracting firms, either at the village or directly on the stand. Matchmaking runs through the Vimeet platform: each participant fills in a skills profile, and the algorithm suggests the most relevant matches from a centralised catalogue. Participation is included in the price of the stand.

Community & networks

The trade show draws on the regional economic ecosystem. Partners listed include: the Région Grand Est, Grand Reims, Bpifrance, the CCI Marne Ardennes, MEDEF Grand Est, the UIMM Champagne-Ardenne and the UIMM Région Lorraine, Grand Est Développement, Marne Développement, Business Sud Champagne, Polyvia Grand Est, the Cetim, the EiSINe, France Travail, Cap emploi, the Mission locale Grand Est and Aeriades.

In 2026, Bpifrance ran a stand alongside a series of round tables on financing industry, financing innovation, cybersecurity and opening up to international markets.

On the press side, the 2026 edition was covered by La French Fab ahead of the opening and by Matot Braine, a regional economic weekly, on the eve of the trade show.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Decide first between a bare and a turnkey stand: the gap between the bare 9 m² at €2,480 excl. VAT and the turnkey 9 m² at €3,280 excl. VAT covers all the furniture, which is rarely the case if the fit-out is outsourced to a third party.
  • Consider the Dijon + Reims package if the catchment area covers the north-east quarter of France: the stated saving is €420 excl. VAT on the 6 m² package and €650 excl. VAT on the turnkey 9 m² package.
  • Register on the B2B platform as soon as booking is confirmed: business meetings are included in the stand price but are only allocated to exhibitors whose skills profile has been completed.
  • Plan ahead for the payment schedule: 60% of the amount is due before the end of February 2027.
  • Fill in the catalogue skills profile carefully, limited to 450 to 500 characters: it is what feeds the matching with contracting firms.

For the decision-making visitor

  • Create a badge online: entry is free, and pre-registration speeds up access.
  • Half a day is enough to cover the exhibition, which fits into a single ground-level hall. Allow more time if the aim is to line up meetings at the buyers' village.
  • Check the exhibitor list from the previous edition to identify relevant subcontractors in advance: the regional core is largely carried over from one edition to the next.
  • The TV set programme and highlights are published on the organiser's website as the trade show approaches.

Policy & CSR initiatives

Business Industries Reims does not publish a dedicated page on its environmental or social commitments, and no ISO 20121 certification is displayed for the event.

At organiser level, the Promo Salons group website likewise does not present a formalised CSR policy for its three trade shows.

On the venue side, Reims Events, a wholly owned subsidiary of GL Events operating under a concession from the City of Reims, highlights its professional memberships of the APST and the ICCA, but does not publish a CSR policy or ISO 20121 certification for the exhibition centre.

What is documented relates to the trade show's content, not its footprint: the 2026 edition devoted talks to decarbonisation, the circular economy and CSR, and one of the six trophies awarded rewarded the "Energy efficiency / decarbonisation" category, given to Les Établissements Compas. This is a programme theme, to be distinguished from a responsible management scheme for the event itself.

The social dimension, however, is tangible and well resourced: the "Avec l'Industrie" pavilion, the UIMM Champagne-Ardenne's Magical Industry Tour, the welcome given to 450 school pupils on the first day and to a jobseeker audience on the second, with France Travail, Cap emploi and the Mission locale Grand Est among the partners, make the appeal of industrial trades a structuring theme of the trade show.

Trajectory analysis

Business Industries Reims is a new trade show: its first edition dates back to April 2026. There is therefore no track record to read yet, but a model to identify.

This model is that of its organiser. Promo Salons, based near Caen, has been rolling out, from Toulouse with Siane, a regional industrial trade show format backed by a business convention. Ardennes Développement cited, in May 2026, sites in Lille, Dijon and Saint-Nazaire under the Business Industries brand. By the summer of 2026, the group's website listed only three events: Siane, Business Industries Dijon and Business Industries Reims. The pricing package combining Dijon and Reims confirms that these two dates now function as a commercial pairing.

The Reims bet is geographical. Reims sits 1 hour 40 minutes from Paris and 2 hours from Metz by road, on what the UIMM Champagne-Ardenne describes as a Strasbourg-Paris axis to be structured for subcontracting. The trade show targets the fabric of industrial SMEs in the Marne, the Ardennes, the Aube and Lorraine, with a proximity argument that the large national events cannot match.

Two markers are worth watching for the 2027 edition. First, the calendar: the trade show shifts from late April 2026, a Tuesday and a Wednesday, to mid-April 2027, a Wednesday and a Thursday. Second, the format, which remains unchanged, two days in a single hall, even though Reims Expo has a second hall of 4,200 m²: room to grow exists without changing venue.

In its region, the trade show is not alone. SEPEM Industries Est, in Colmar, addresses the same maintenance and production audience across the Grand Est, and Global Industrie remains the sector's benchmark national event. What sets Business Industries Reims apart is its local density and its business convention, not its volume.

Unless otherwise stated, all factual data in this listing comes from the organiser's official website (businessindustries-reims.com).
