Key takeaways
- The CIPEG, Congrès Interdisciplinaire des Professionnels En Gériatrie, now brings together three linked congresses in the same place: the CIPEG itself, the Congrès National des Médecins Coordonnateurs d'EHPAD (CNMC) and the Congrès National des IDEC et Cadres de Soins des EHPAD (CNIDEC). It is a medical and medico-social congress, with an exhibition of partners and a space dedicated to silver economy players.
- Next edition: the 25th CIPEG, with the 12th CNMC and the 5th CNIDEC, from Tuesday 11 to Thursday 13 May 2027, at the Corum de Montpellier. Hybrid format, in person and online.
- Organiser: the agency B4 Event, based in Baillargues near Montpellier, which publishes the congress website and handles registrations and partnerships. It states that it joined the GL events group in July 2025. The congresses are chaired by Prof. Claude Jeandel and Prof. Olivier Hanon.
- Annual frequency, held at the Corum de Montpellier since at least 2021, on dates that vary between March and September depending on the year.
- No attendance figure is published. The 2026 edition showed 49 exhibitor and partner logos on the official website.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The exhibition is aimed at companies working for older people, at home and in care homes: healthcare manufacturers, home healthcare providers, suppliers of equipment and consumables for EHPAD (French nursing homes), and publishers of digital solutions for care coordination. For 2027, as in 2026, the organiser announces a dedicated space for silver economy players.
The congress publishes no detailed catalogue or exhibition floor plan for 2027. Access to the exhibiting packages is through a partnership pack sent on request via a form.
Notable exhibitors
The 2027 list is not yet online. At the time of writing, the partners page still displays the “Exposants & partenaires de l'édition 2026” (2026 exhibitors and partners), that is 49 logos, presented with no tier hierarchy. They include in particular healthcare manufacturers and laboratories (Abbott, GSK, Moderna, Pfizer, Sanofi, Servier, Viatris, UPSA, CSL Seqirus), home healthcare providers (Bastide Médical, Orkyn), suppliers of equipment and products for care homes (Winncare, TZMO France, Nutrisens, Mulliez-Flory) and digital solutions (Koord, Voize). The page also names the Emeis group, the FNEHAD, the Fondation Partage et Vie, the Université de Montpellier and the media outlet Gerontonews.
These names relate to the 2026 edition: nothing indicates at this stage that they will return in 2027.
Visitor quality
The congress targets the full range of professions in old-age care. The 2027 CNMC editorial addresses doctors, nurses, coordinating doctors, IDEC (coordinating nurses), care assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychomotor therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, managers and healthcare executives, whether they work at home, in hospital, in home hospitalisation (HAD), in care homes, in assisted-living residences or in a coordination scheme.
For an exhibitor, the interest lies above all in the involvement of medical directors from care home operators in organising the congress. The CNMC page shows an organising committee, identical to the April 2026 archive, which brings together medical directors and care managers from large care home operators and mutual insurance players, including Clariane, Emeis, DomusVi, Colisée, Le Noble Âge, Edenis, Emera, Maison de Famille, Arpavie, ACPPA, Groupe VYV, MGEN and PRO BTP. The CNIDEC, whose editorial is signed by the president of the FFIDEC, is aimed at coordinating nurses and care managers, who are at the heart of the day-to-day running of the homes.
The organiser publishes neither a number of participants nor a breakdown by profession.
Programme & community
Conference programme
The full 2027 programme has not yet been published: at the time of writing, the link on the website leads to no document. The editorials of the three congresses outline its main lines.
The CIPEG announces a particular focus on news in old-age policy, at home and in care homes: Stratégie nationale MND, SPDA, home autonomy services, CRT, Plan Métiers du Grand Âge, IPA Grand Âge. These are joined by sessions on diagnostic and therapeutic updates in the main geriatric conditions, sessions dedicated to occupational therapists, psychologists and carers, and, for the second year, a large place for outpatient geriatric medicine: consultation, day hospital, telemedicine, mobile teams.
The CNMC announces update sessions on infectious diseases, cardio-nephro-geriatrics, neurology and geriatric psychiatry, rheumatology-geriatrics and pain management, as well as numerous sessions devoted to EHPAD, organised under the aegis of the UD2MS and the FFIDEC: freedom of movement and zero restraint, hearing impairment and hearing aids, nutrition and catering, palliative care and end of life, rehabilitation and fall prevention, CRT. Round tables and thematic symposia are planned.
The 2027 CNIDEC will focus on legislative changes to the coordinating nurse profession, training as a managerial lever and the positioning of the IDEC in the face of external evaluations. For the FFIDEC's 10th anniversary, it will offer a participatory masterclass devoted to the personalised project as a management tool.
Call for papers
The scientific committee receives proposals for papers posted until 13 March 2027, via the online form. Posters are in A0 format, written in French and printed by the authors; the author presenting the poster must be registered for the congress.
Community & networks
The CIPEG is part of an ecosystem of geriatric congresses organised by B4 Event, whose website links in particular to the Journées Bretonnes de Gérontologie et Gériatrie, the Journées Vieillissement et Maintien de l'Autonomie and the Journées scientifiques de Broca. The congress chairs are also involved in the sector's bodies: Prof. Claude Jeandel chairs the Scientific Council of the CNSA, and Prof. Olivier Hanon that of the Union des Gérontopôles.
The congress is also a continuing training activity: B4 Event is Qualiopi-certified for its training activities, which allows registration under a training agreement.
On site: what you need to know
The congress takes place at the Corum de Montpellier, on the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle, right in the city centre. The tram (lines 1, 2 and 4) serves the Corum stop, three stops from Montpellier Saint-Roch station. From the airport, shuttle line 120 runs to the Place de l'Europe stop. By car, a paid underground car park with 500 spaces is available, with a drop-off point on the west side.
The Corum is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and the organiser has appointed a disability officer to contact for any specific need. For accommodation, an online booking platform offers hotels near the Corum at negotiated rates; the B4 Event team assists with group bookings of five rooms or more, which is useful for housing a stand team.
How much it costs to exhibit

| Stand space in the exhibition, depending on size and location (on quotation) | €2,000 | €12,000 |
| Fit-out, furniture, electricity and signage for the stand | €1,000 | €8,000 |
| In-person congress registration for stand staff, if not included in the exhibition package (the website does not say): doctors, researchers and industry category, without a training agreement, published rate, per person | €340 | €340 |
| Team travel and accommodation in Montpellier (3 days) | €1,000 | €4,000 |
| Symposium or partner session, if the organiser offers one (on quotation, optional) | €3,000 | €15,000 |
| INDICATIVE TOTAL, stand only (3 days, 2 to 4 people) | ~€4,700 | ~€25,400 |
| INDICATIVE TOTAL, stand and symposium | ~€7,700 | ~€40,400 |
At a congress that brings together the coordinating doctors and coordinating nurses of EHPAD, the value of a stand lies less in its size than in the quality of the meetings with the decision-makers of the care home groups. For pharmaceutical and medical device companies, taking part must also be framed in light of the rules on transparency and the regulation of benefits. Rates to be requested from B4 Event.
Preparing your visit
For exhibitors
- Request the participation pack via the website form: it is the only way into the exhibition and partnership packages.
- Aim for the space dedicated to the silver economy if your offer addresses home care or autonomy: the organiser announces it again for 2027.
- Identify the sessions that touch your field as soon as the programme is published: nutrition, falls, restraint, hearing aids, palliative care and digital tools in care homes are among the announced themes.
- Book the team's accommodation early: group booking is possible from five rooms.
For decision-making visitors
- Register online or by form. In-person package shown as “2,5 Jours” (2.5 days): €340 for doctors, researchers and industry, €165 for paramedical professions, €80 for students with proof; with a training agreement, €410 and €235. Digital package: €110, or €180 with an agreement.
- Only in-person registration gives access to the Corum; digital registration opens the live sessions and the video library after the congress. The website does not state the conditions of access to the exhibition.
- Plan for a possible cancellation: refund on written request until 11 February 2027, with €30 withheld for administrative costs, then no refund from 12 February 2027.
- Institutions can cover registration by purchase order or certificate, and continuing training goes through a training agreement.
CSR policy & initiatives
The congress website presents no CSR policy or ISO 20121 certification specific to the event.
At organiser level, B4 Event displays on its website an approach to reducing its environmental footprint: selecting service providers according to their CSR commitments, aiming towards zero waste, redistributing unused material (notepads, tote bags, pens) and meal trays to charities, reducing printing and sorting waste. These are declarative commitments, with no certification displayed.
The most structured commitment is at venue level. Montpellier Events, which operates the Corum, renewed its ISO 20121 certification in December 2025 under the 2024 version of the standard. The actions described include heating powered by waste recovery, meal breaks with local products and a majority organic supply chain, a partnership with Les Alchimistes to compost biowaste, water fountains at the Corum to eliminate plastic bottles and new LED spotlights.
The congress is held in hybrid format: sessions can also be followed remotely.

Trajectory analysis
The CIPEG is an established event: a 25th edition in 2027, always at the Corum de Montpellier throughout the documented period. Its recent trajectory comes from the aggregation of neighbouring congresses. The CNMC has been attached to it for several editions, the CNIDEC was added in 2023, and the format went from two days in 2022, 2023 and 2024 to three days since 2025. The 2027 editorial notes that participants are “de plus en plus nombreux” (more and more numerous), with no published figure to support it.
For an exhibitor, this grouping has a concrete effect: in a single venue and over three days, it reaches geriatricians, coordinating doctors and coordinating nurses of EHPAD alike, that is the prescribers and organisers of care in institutions. B4 Event's arrival in the GL events group in July 2025, according to the agency, is a development to watch for the evolution of the partner offering.
