Who exhibits

Typical profile

The trade show is structured around five main hubs, which cover most of the professional pop-culture verticals present in France.

  • Artist Alley: guest illustrators, writers and colourists, mainly from the Marvel and DC stables, but also from European comics and manga.
  • Comics and manga publishers: the leading French and international houses in the segment, who bring out their flagship authors for autograph sessions and previews.
  • Studios and platforms: Disney via Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios, Warner for DC, Netflix, Sony Pictures and Amazon Prime Video depending on the year, present in their own right or through their licences.
  • Video games and TCG: trading card game publishers, console demos, arcade cabinets and tournaments.
  • Geek Market: premium and vintage figurines, limited editions, artist prints, pop-culture clothing and cosplay accessories.

Notable exhibitors

On the comics and manga publishing side, the trade show has historically drawn Panini Comics, Urban Comics, Glénat, Delcourt, Pika and Kana. In Artist Alley, recent editions have welcomed the likes of J. Scott Campbell, Salva Espin (Deadpool vs Carnage) and Andrea Broccardo (Kanan). On the video games and TCG side, Pokémon, Magic The Gathering and One Piece Card Game run tournament and demonstration set-ups.

The 2026 exhibitor list is updated continuously on the official site as confirmations come in.

Quality of the visitor base

Comic Con France caters to a predominantly general-public, family and enthusiast audience, with a significant share of cosplayers and seasoned collectors. For B2B exhibitors in the licensing, specialist retail and publishing segments, the audience remains qualified by its density of active fans and its strong prescriptive power, particularly among the 15-35 age group.

Activities and community

Guest line-up

The line-up of stars has been the pivot of the trade show since its inception. The 2025 edition brought together the likes of Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine, Star Wars), Kevin McNally (Mr Gibbs, Pirates of the Caribbean), Jack Gleeson (Joffrey Baratheon, Game of Thrones), Robert Patrick, James Marsters, Lance Henriksen, Giancarlo Esposito and Brad Dourif, as well as the Charmed cast assembled around Rose McGowan, Holly Marie Combs, Brian Krause and Drew Fuller.

The 2024 edition, still held at the Porte de Versailles, had welcomed Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger), Kevin Eastman (co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Raphael Luce.

Autograph sessions and photoshoots

Each guest operates according to a price list published by the organiser. In 2025, the Ian McDiarmid photoshoots were offered at €90, and the Charmed group photoshoot at €230. Advance purchase is explicitly recommended by the organiser to secure slots with the most sought-after guests.

Cosplay

Cosplay is a defining dimension of the trade show, with a parade, a dedicated stage and themed shows. A conditional discount is offered to identifiable cosplayers at the entrance, according to the terms published by the organiser each edition.

Stage programme

The main stage hosts panels, masterclasses, Q&A sessions with guests and previews of series and films. The full programme is published by the Comic Con France team in the weeks leading up to the trade show.

Trajectory analysis

Comic Con France was created in 2007 under the name Kultima by the founders of Japan Expo (JTS Participations), who made it the comics and American pop-culture counterpart to their manga trade show. The event was renamed Comic Con Paris in 2009, then taken over by Reed Expositions France in 2015, after a fallow year in 2014. The October 2015 edition was held at the Grande Halle de la Villette, before a spell at the Porte de Versailles.

The major turning point of recent years is twofold. First, the return to Paris Nord Villepinte in 2025, which brings the trade show geographically closer to Japan Expo and gives it greater hosting capacity. Second, the shift in the calendar from October to April, which positions it in a distinct slot from the other Parisian pop-culture events.

On the international stage, the trade show is part of the ReedPop network, the pop-culture division of RX (formerly Reed Exhibitions until June 2021), founded in 2006 by Greg Topalian and Lance Fensterman, and now the world's leading producer of pop-culture events (New York Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, PAX, MCM London Comic Con). This membership provides access to a sourcing pipeline of guests, licences and formats proven in other markets. The 2026 edition, the second consecutive one at Villepinte in the April slot, is set to confirm the repositioning trajectory begun in 2025.
