Key facts
- Réanimation is the annual congress of the Société de Réanimation de Langue Française (SRLF), the learned society for intensive care medicine. It is a medical and allied-health congress: scientific sessions, industry symposiums, simulation workshops and an integrated exhibition, with replay access.
- Next edition: Wednesday 9 to Friday 11 June 2027, at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, Porte Maillot. The dates appear on the congress website and were restated by the SRLF in a news item of 6 October 2026.
- Organiser: the SRLF, a not-for-profit association (loi 1901) founded in 1971, with 3,800 members. Logistics, registrations and partnerships are entrusted to the agency Europa Organisation (Europa group), based in Toulouse.
- Annual frequency, in Paris. Since 2021, the congress has been held every year in June at the Palais des Congrès at Porte Maillot.
- 2027 calendar announced by the organiser: call for abstracts opens on 1 December 2026, registration opens on 1 February 2027, price change on 1 April 2027.
- Latest attendance figure published by the SRLF: 3,655 participants in 2022. In 2026, the congress partners page listed 56 partners, excluding associations.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The exhibition is on the same level as the conference rooms, according to the congress practical information page. Access to the exhibition is included in delegates' registration fees, which makes it a place people pass through between sessions rather than a standalone trade show. Attendees come first to learn: for an industry player, the value lies in having, over three days, the teams that prescribe and use intensive care equipment in one place.
The 2026 partner list falls into three families. Suppliers of equipment and consumables for the intensive care unit: ventilation and respiratory support, monitoring, infusion, renal replacement therapy, beds and medical devices. Pharmaceutical companies, notably in infectious diseases. And some players that are less expected at a medical congress: a healthcare software publisher, a training organisation, healthcare groups and establishments, and even a savings and life-insurance firm.
Notable exhibitors
The 2026 partners page lists 56 partners, with no partnership tier displayed. They include Air Liquide, Aerogen, Fisher & Paykel, Hamilton Medical, Löwenstein, Intersurgical, Getinge, GE Healthcare, Philips, Medtronic, Stryker, Linet, Teleflex, Baxter, B. Braun, BD, Fresenius Kabi, Fresenius Medical Care, Vantive, ICU Medical, Solventum and bioMérieux. On the pharmaceutical side: Pfizer, Gilead, Shionogi, Viatris, Mundipharma, Advanz Pharma, Infectopharm and AOP Orphan. The list also includes Softway Medical, Predictis, RealCare Formations, the CHRU de Tours and Elsan.
Seven partner associations are added, including the Société de Kinésithérapie en Réanimation (SKR), the GFRUP, the FNIR and the Fondation du Souffle, along with Elsevier as bookseller partner. The 2027 partner list had not been published at the time of writing.
Quality of the attendance
The congress addresses the whole intensive care chain. The SRLF cites intensivists, anaesthetists-intensivists, paediatricians, emergency physicians, psychologists and allied-health professionals, as well as professionals who work with intensive care teams. According to the 2024 and 2025 editorials by the SRLF president, the programme is built by the SRLF with the SKR and the GFRUP, and the 2026 registration grid provided for rates for doctors, residents, allied-health professionals (including SKR members), psychologists and biomedical engineers who are AFIB members.
The audience extends beyond France: the 2026 grid included dedicated rates for nationals of non-OECD countries, in connection with learned societies in Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon and French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa. The reports published by the SRLF give 3,120 delegates in 2019, including more than 900 allied-health professionals, 2,400 participants in 2021 and 3,655 in 2022. No more recent figures are published, and these figures are provided by the organiser without third-party audit.
Activities & community
Conference programme
The scientific programme is built by the SRLF Medical Congress Commission and Allied-Health Congress Commission. The 2027 programme had not been published at the time of writing: the call for abstracts opens on 1 December 2026.
In 2026, the congress synopsis alternated thematic sessions, round tables, prestige lectures, morning sessions and joint sessions with other learned societies, on themes ranging from organ donation to infectious diseases, from oncology in intensive care to post-intensive care follow-up. A track dedicated to sustainability was on the programme. The 2026 editorial by the SRLF president highlights medical and allied-health research, quality of working life, gender parity, the inclusion of patients and their families, and the decarbonisation of care.
Symposiums and Simulation Village
For an industry player, the most visible lever is the symposium. The 2026 synopsis counted eleven symposiums: nine companies and one not-for-profit organisation (the endowment fund 101, ONE O ONE) hosted them, with Fisher & Paykel holding two. The hosts were BioSerenity, Shionogi, Infectopharm France, Air Liquide Medical Systems, Fisher & Paykel (two symposiums), Fresenius Kabi, AOP Health, Advanz Pharma, SOS Oxygène and, for an allied-health symposium, ONE O ONE.
The Village de la Simulation brings together simulation and hands-on workshops, free of charge but by registration and with limited places. The SIM challenge encourages young teams to test themselves on simulated scenarios in a spirit of competition. An Agora space hosts more informal exchanges. All sessions are recorded: in-person registration gives access to the full VOD, and remote-only registration is offered.
Community & networks
The SRLF publishes the journal Médecine Intensive Réanimation and the open access journal Annals of Intensive Care, awards prizes and grants, and drafts clinical practice guidelines. It is also a Qualiopi-certified training organisation: delegates registered under a continuing training agreement must attend three certified sessions to validate their attendance, and the SRLF states that it requests EACCME accreditation for the congress every year.
Anaesthetists-intensivists also have their own national event, the SFAR congress.
On site: what you need to know
The congress takes place at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, 2 place de la Porte Maillot, in the 17th arrondissement. Access is by metro line 1, Porte Maillot-Palais des Congrès station, by RER C, Neuilly Porte Maillot-Palais des Congrès station, and by buses 43, 73, 82, 244 and PC. Vélib' stations and bicycle racks surround the building.
The congress practical information page, which has not yet been updated for 2027, places reception on level 0, and the exhibition and conference rooms on level 2, with access by the escalator on the Neuilly side. The 2027 opening hours had not been published at the time of writing. The congress secretariat offers a dedicated hotel booking service.

Planning your visit
For the exhibitor
- Contact Europa Organisation via the partners page: it is the contact given for any partnership request (stands and symposiums to be confirmed with them).
- Plan ahead: eleven symposiums were on the 2026 programme for three days of congress; it is best to enquire early with Europa Organisation.
- Plan demonstrations: attendees come to learn, and the Village de la Simulation shows the teams' appetite for hands-on practice.
- Think of allied-health professionals: they make up a significant share of the audience (more than 900 of 3,120 delegates in 2019), with their own programme commission.
For the decision-maker visiting
- 2027 registration opens on 1 February 2027, with a price change on 1 April 2027. The 2027 grid had not been published at the time of writing.
- For reference, the 2026 grid for two or three days was €420 for a doctor who is a member of the SRLF or the GFRUP and €800 for a non-member before 10 April, then €470 and €860. A one-day rate existed, without replay access. Registration included access to the conferences, the exhibition, the documentation and the replay for three months.
- Register early for the Village de la Simulation workshops: limited places, registration is final.
- For funding by an employer, registration under a continuing training agreement goes through the congress website.
CSR policy & initiatives
The most documented commitment is that of the learned society itself. On the 2026 environmental impact page, the SRLF states that its REAGIR working group has the mission of reducing the congress's greenhouse gas emissions, and that the congress obtained REEVE level 1 eco-labelling in 2024. According to the same page, participants' travel accounts on average for more than half of an event's carbon footprint, mainly by air, which the page puts at 95% in the carbon footprint of Réanimation 2024: hence the encouragement of train travel, car sharing and the replay.
The on-site measures are concrete: meals designed with a caterer labelled organic by Ecocert with a vegetarian option in 2026 (the 2025 congress was announced as entirely vegetarian), water fountains, selective waste sorting, a parental and medical care room, and a parity approach between male and female speakers. The programme includes sessions on decarbonisation and sobriety in intensive care, and volunteers from the Shift Project were announced on a stand for the three days in 2026.
On the agency side, Europa Organisation displays a policy in four areas (support for carbon footprint reduction, responsible purchasing, soft mobility, responsible consumption) and states that its group committed in 2025 to becoming a Société à Mission. On the venue side, Viparis, the operator of the Palais des Congrès, has been ISO 20121 certified across all its sites since 2014. No ISO 20121 certification specific to the congress is displayed.

Trajectory analysis
The congress has changed season. In 2019 and early 2020, it was still held in winter (late January 2019, early February 2020); since 2021, it has taken place every year in June, at the Palais des Congrès at Porte Maillot, over three days from Wednesday to Friday. This stability of venue and calendar is an asset for an exhibitor planning their year.
Published attendance followed the health crisis: 3,120 delegates in 2019, more than 3,000 in 2020, 2,400 in 2021, an edition that the SRLF presented as the first in-person congress since October 2020, then 3,655 in 2022. Since then, the SRLF no longer publishes an attendance report, which prevents measuring the recent trajectory. The 2025 partners page showed 58 logos, associations included, and the 2026 page shows 64, associations and bookseller partner included; the make-up of the two lists differs markedly, which rules out drawing a trend from them.
The content, for its part, is broadening: a growing place for allied-health professionals, joint sessions with other disciplines, a sustainability track, quality of working life. For an industry player, the congress speaks as much to frontline carers as to heads of department.
