Four themes have been chosen for 2027: "Risque viral nosocomial : angle mort de la prévention ?", "PRI hors les murs : défis et réponses", "Accès vasculaires au carrefour du risque infectieux" and "Guerres et conflits : La PRI sous tension". The format of recent editions shows the expected structure: three days, including a half-day on Wednesday, specialised training courses and meet-the-expert sessions, an international session with simultaneous English-French interpretation, free communications and numerous posters. The first announcement publishes the 2027 rates: €480 for a member and €545 for a non-member with the Wednesday half-day, €400 and €465 without it, €570 for the specialised training and congress package, and €200 for students in medicine, pharmacy or paramedical fields. A rate of €220 is reserved for infection control link staff from a healthcare or medico-social establishment in Grand Est or Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, on proof of eligibility.

The congress website offers a dedicated hotel booking platform and a transport booking platform. Opening hours for the 2027 exhibition have not yet been published; in 2025 it opened from Wednesday 9:30am to Friday 3:30pm.

• Build the pitch for an expert audience: the SF2H's 2022 welcome message called for innovative solutions that are "plus efficaces, plus sûres, moins contraignantes et plus respectueuses de l'environnement" (more effective, safer, less restrictive and more environmentally friendly).
• Align your presence with the 2027 themes: viral risk, vascular access, prevention outside hospital walls, crisis situations.
• Anticipate the congress's eco-responsible approach: since 2025 the organiser has asked exhibitors to reduce their paper documentation, for example in favour of a QR code.

The SF2H has formalised an eco-responsible approach for its congress. The document published for the 2025 edition details the end of plastic bottles and cups in favour of water fountains, reduced paper documents from exhibitors, caterers with local and seasonal menus and redistribution of unsold food where possible, programmes printed on PEFC paper, a preference for digital signage and reusable furniture.

Trajectory analysis

The congress has followed a stable rhythm since at least 2011: one edition a year, almost always in late May or early June, in a different city each time, with regular returns to Lille, Marseille, Lyon, Nantes and now Strasbourg. The only break: the 2020 edition planned in Nantes was cancelled and then postponed to October 2021, with 2020 covered by webinars.

The exhibition's momentum can be read in the SF2H's own words. In 2022, its president announced an industrial exhibition "d'une ampleur inédite" (on an unprecedented scale). In 2025, the congress had to take over the Palais des Evènements at Parc Chanot in addition to the congress centre, which the society presents as a sign of healthy expansion for its congress and its discipline. Between the two official lists, the number of entries rose from 83 to 86: modest growth in number, with the SF2H stressing above all in 2025 "quelques changements significatifs chez les acteurs de notre discipline" (some significant changes among the players in our field).
