Agoris analysis · updated October 2026

Key facts

  • The CPLF, Congrès de Pneumologie de Langue Française (French-language Pneumology Congress), is the annual congress of French-speaking pneumology. It is a medical congress: scientific sessions, workshops, industry symposiums and an integrated exhibition where pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers and medical device manufacturers meet pneumology teams.
  • Next edition: the 31st, from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 January 2027, at Marseille Parc Chanot. Friday morning is devoted to the pre-congress, from 9:45am to 12:45pm; the congress sessions run from Friday 1pm to Sunday 4:30pm. Main theme of the edition: “Le sommeil dans tous ses états” (sleep in all its states).
  • Organiser: Pneumologie Développement SARL, a Paris-based company whose stated purpose, in its own words, is to organise the events of the pneumology community, and the CPLF in particular.
  • Annual frequency. Since 2022, the congress has alternated between Lille Grand Palais in even years and Parc Chanot in Marseille in odd years.
  • Results of the 2026 edition in Lille: 4,802 registrants, including 3,806 congress delegates and 996 exhibitors, plus 1,000 unique participants on the online platform. For 2027, the partner list counts 80 partners in early October 2026.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The exhibition occupies the Palais des Événements at Parc Chanot, according to the 2027 floor plan. Stands are rented in 3 x 3 m modules, from a one-module stand (9 m²) to a 12-module stand, around an area of 134 scientific poster boards and the catering zone. The delegate registration fee includes access to the sessions, the exhibition and the online platform.

One regulatory point shapes who visits the stands. The commercial zone and the symposiums are reserved for healthcare professionals: residents, members of patient associations and registrants who are not healthcare professionals within the meaning of the French Public Health Code only have access to the institutional stands in the dedicated zone and to the scientific sessions in the rooms. For a pharmaceutical company, this limits the commercial zone to healthcare professionals; for an organisation targeting residents, the lever lies in other channels than the stand.

The 2027 partner list falls into three broad families. Pharmaceutical companies. Players in oxygen therapy, ventilation and sleep, manufacturers and home healthcare providers, a logical fit for an edition whose common thread is sleep. Finally, suppliers of bronchial endoscopy and respiratory function testing, joined by a few medical press publishers.

Notable exhibitors

The 31st CPLF partner list shows 80 partners as at 10 October 2026; the organiser adds each exhibitor on receipt of the deposit, so the list keeps growing until the congress. On the pharmaceutical side, it includes AstraZeneca France, Boehringer Ingelheim, GSK, MSD France, Pfizer, Roche, Sanofi Regeneron, Chiesi, Amgen, Insmed, Vertex Pharmaceuticals France, Pierre Fabre, Grifols France, Stallergenes Greer and Bristol Myers Squibb. On the ventilation, oxygen and sleep side: ResMed, Philips, Löwenstein Medical, Breas Medical, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Air Liquide Healthcare, VitalAire, Linde Homecare France, Bastide Médical, Asten Santé, Elivie, Orkyn and France Oxygène / Vivisol. On the endoscopy and function testing side: Olympus France, Fujifilm, Erbe, Cook Medical, Pulmonx, Cosmed France and Schiller France.

The same page reserves places for the three associates of Pneumologie Développement, APP-SAR, CPHG and SPLF, and for nine institutional bodies, including the Fondation du Souffle, IFCT, FFP - CNPP and AJPO2.

Quality of the audience

In 2026, of 4,802 registrants, 2,233 were doctors, or 46.5%; there were also 360 nurses, 342 residents, 178 physiotherapists, 120 other healthcare-sector professionals and 1,569 in the cumulative category of exhibitors, industry representatives, laboratories and service providers. The audience includes a French-speaking contingent from outside mainland France: 624 delegates in 2026, 631 in 2025. The fee schedule also includes a dedicated line for doctors from French-speaking countries, and the website has a page for registrations of groups from abroad.

These figures are published by the organiser in its edition statistics, without third-party audit. The format is hybrid: registrants are not broken down between on-site attendance and remote participation, and the category grouping exhibitors, industry representatives, laboratories and service providers changed scope in 2025.

Activities & community

Conference programme

The programme of the 31st edition is online and can be downloaded. The advanced pre-congress courses open on Friday at 9:45am; the opening lecture follows at 1pm, devoted to sleep and breathing. The programme then runs through the formats described by the organiser: plenaries, workshops, advanced courses, oral communications, scientific posters, integrated symposiums and various meetings. These advanced courses cover interstitial lung diseases, infectious diseases, asthma, oncology, COPD, imaging, the pleura, non-invasive ventilation and thromboembolic disease.

The programme gives a large place to the discipline's working groups, which run their own sessions, and to guidelines: two meetings are devoted to the guidelines on OSAHS and on COPD. One session is titled “Les Go ! de la Fédération Française de Pneumologie”.

Symposiums and hybrid format

For an industry company, the integrated symposium is one of the partnership formats, alongside the stand and partnership actions. The online programme in early October 2026 lists 25 integrated symposiums, led in particular by Boehringer Ingelheim, Sanofi Regeneron, AstraZeneca France, MSD France, GSK, Roche, Chiesi, Pierre Fabre, Insmed, Pulmonx, Novocure, Pharmanovia, Stallergenes Greer, Grifols France, Amgen, Lilly France, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Antadir. Symposium requests were received by email from 12 May 2026.

The congress is held in person, supplemented by an online platform: a selection of sessions is streamed live from 29 to 31 January 2027, then on demand until 15 May 2027. In 2026, this platform brought together 1,000 unique participants.

Community & networks

SPLF, CPHG and APP-SAR appear as associates of Pneumologie Développement on the partner list. SPLF states that it publishes the abstracts of CPLF communications in its journal, the Revue des Maladies Respiratoires Actualités.

The agency JIN handles press relations; journalists request their accreditation before 12 January 2027.

The organiser warns that fraudulent emails are circulating about the congress and asks that all procedures be carried out from the official website. This is a precaution that also applies to exhibitors.

On site: what you need to know

The congress takes place at Marseille Parc Chanot, 114 rond-point du Prado, in the 8th arrondissement of Marseille. From Marseille Saint-Charles station, metro line 2, towards Sainte-Marguerite Dromel, takes you in five stops without changing to the Rond-Point du Prado stop. Marseille Provence airport is 30 minutes away, and the site has 1,800 parking spaces, at €7 per day during events according to the venue operator.

The doors open at 8am on all three days. The exhibition is open from 8am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday and from 8am to 4:30pm on Sunday, and the congress entrance closes at 6pm. Registrants collect their badge at the kiosks, with the QR code received by email, from Thursday 28 January, 4pm to 6pm, then from Friday to Sunday; the attendance certificate is printed on the back of the badge, in a single copy.

The catering area will offer a light menu at participants' own expense, and alcoholic drinks are prohibited. For accommodation, the official agency B Network offers negotiated rates.

How much does it cost to exhibit

Pneumologie Développement does not publish any stand price list online: the partner contract, which includes the partner file and the booking conditions, is only accessible to companies logged in to their partner area. Only the registration fee for industry representatives and the venue parking are published. The other amounts are indicative orders of magnitude for a medical congress of this size outside Paris. They are in no way the official CPLF prices.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Contact Pneumologie Développement via the contact form: access to the partner area, where stands and partnership actions are booked, requires a personal user account; the organiser sends the login details to the contacts it holds, and otherwise they can be requested via the form.
  • Consult the page of available stands: on 10 October 2026, nine spaces remained available, of one or two modules. Online bookings opened on 9 and 10 June 2026.
  • Institutional bodies are treated separately and contact the organiser directly.
  • The exhibitor technical file is announced for October in the “Documents officiels” section of the exhibitor area.
  • Read the exhibitor CSR charter: it asks in particular that exhibitors favour rental and reuse, use PEFC or FSC certified wood, and appoint a sorting officer on each stand.

For the decision-maker visiting

  • Register by 12 November 2026 for the first reduced rate: €440 incl. VAT for a doctor, €150 for a nurse or physiotherapist, €100 for a resident. Until 12 January 2027, these rates rise to €560, €200 and €150. On site, registration costs €700 incl. VAT.
  • Cancellation requests are refunded, less 30% handling fees, before 20 November 2026; after that, the sums paid are retained.
  • The CPLF has no training accreditation number and does not constitute continuing professional development, the organiser states.
  • Plan your route through the online programme: it can be filtered by session type and flags the sessions that are streamed.

CSR policy & initiatives

The documented commitment sits at the organiser level. On its CPLF eco page, Pneumologie Développement presents the CPLF as a congress that has been part of a sustainable development approach since its creation, built around four areas: overall eco-responsible management, limiting CO2 emissions, sorting and recovery of waste, and equality, diversity and personal safety.

The announced measures are concrete: choice of venues certified “Destination innovante et durable” and accessible by public transport, carpets reduced to a minimum and recycled, paper limited to the congress pocket planner, heating at 19° maximum during operation and unheated buildings during set-up and dismantling, caterers' biowaste collected and composted. On the social side, registration is free for people accompanying persons with disabilities, and speaker gender parity is among the commitments.

Exhibitors are brought into the approach through a contractual incentive and a dedicated CSR charter, with a participants' charter completing the scheme.

On the venue side, Marseille events, the operator of Marseille Chanot within the GL events Venues network, is ISO 20121 certified for the management of its spaces and the hosting of events. No ISO 20121 certification specific to the congress is displayed.

Trajectory analysis

The CPLF came through the health crisis without interruption: the 2021 edition was held entirely online, under the name e-CPLF, and the 2022 edition in Lille had to respect a government cap of 2,000 participants in person. Since then, attendance has settled above 4,400 registrants every year. The number of delegates went from 3,219 in 2023 to 3,105 in 2024, then to 3,748 in 2025 and 3,806 in 2026, but the comparison is skewed: since 2025, the organiser has used a cumulative category of exhibitors, industry representatives, laboratories and service providers that overlaps with the delegates.

The alternation between Lille and Marseille, observed at every edition since 2022, places one edition in two in the south. The organiser does not present it as a rule, and the venue of the 2028 edition had not been announced at the time of writing.

The hybrid format, in place since 2022, remains: the online platform counted 779 connected participants in 2023, 771 in 2024, 1,212 in 2025 and 1,000 unique participants in 2026, using calculation methods that are not strictly identical. For an exhibitor, the exhibition takes place on site, at Parc Chanot: it is the audience present that counts.
