Key takeaways
- Cycl'Eau Bordeaux Nouvelle-Aquitaine is a professional trade show for the water sector in Nouvelle-Aquitaine: two days of exhibition, round tables and workshops devoted to water management at the heart of the river basin; the 2025 programme covered the water resource, drinking water and sanitation services, and networks, with the Adour-Garonne basin as its main horizon. Bordeaux is the cradle of the Cycl'Eau network of regional events, which started in the city in 2017.
- Next edition: the 7th, from Wednesday 2 to Thursday 3 June 2027, at the Palais 2 l'Atlantique, the events space of the Parc des Expositions de Bordeaux, cours Charles Bricaud, in the lake district. Open from 9am to 6pm on Wednesday and from 9am to 5pm on Thursday. Free admission, registration required.
- Organiser: the Association Cycl'Eau, registered with the Bordeaux prefecture, where it has its head office. No co-organiser.
- Frequency: biennial since 2021, after three annual editions from 2017 to 2019 at Hangar 14. The 2027 edition marks ten years of Cycl'Eau.
- Announced for 2027 by the organiser: nearly 150 exhibitors over 7,000 m². Latest published review, that of 2023: 154 exhibitors and 2,320 professional visitors, according to the organiser. No review of the 2025 edition has been found. As of 3 October 2026, 27 companies are listed on the exhibitors page, including Xylem Water Solutions France, KSB, Diehl Metering and Sewerin.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
In 2025, the trade show's directory sorted exhibitors into seven families: pipe-laying contractors; solution providers; project management, design consultancies and laboratories; merchants and distributors; training bodies; local authorities; and an “Others” category that notably hosted institutions and associations. In practice, it includes manufacturers of pipes, fittings and foundry parts, specialists in pumping, metering and leak detection, instrumentation and water treatment, network works contractors and engineering firms.
In the 2025 edition directory, viewed on a capture of the website taken a week after the trade show, solution providers accounted for nearly half of the listings (80 out of 169), ahead of the “Others” category (29), project management and design consultancies (24) and pipe-laying contractors (23). The public component is strong: the Régie de l'eau Bordeaux Métropole, Limoges Métropole, the Gironde Department and the joint water boards Eau 17, Eau47 and SMDE 24 were themselves listed in the directory.
Notable exhibitors
The 2027 edition exhibitors page fills up as registrations come in. As of 3 October 2026, it lists 27 companies, including Xylem Water Solutions France, KSB, Diehl Metering, Sewerin, Plasson, Poloplast France, egeplast, Bayard, Fonderies Dechaumont, Huot and WEG. The regional anchoring shows in a few names: Sources, based in Mérignac, Pajot Entreprise, in Villeréal, in Lot-et-Garonne, or Sogemap, in Surgères, in Charente-Maritime.
The 2025 edition gives a sense of the full line-up. Its directory contained 169 listings, or about 165 distinct organisations, partners, local authorities and schools included: this is not an official review, but an order of magnitude. Notable names included Saint-Gobain PAM Canalisation, Veolia, Saur, SADE, Suez Consulting, Grundfos, Sulzer, Kamstrup, Sagemcom, AVK France, Georg Fischer and Lacroix, engineering firms such as Artelia, Egis and Antea Group, as well as the Banque des Territoires.
Quality of the audience
The association states its aim of connecting elected officials, local authorities, delegated operators, manufacturers, design consultancies, solution providers and merchant networks.
The latest published attendance review is that of the 2023 edition: 2,320 professional visitors and 154 exhibitors, according to the organiser's press release of March 2023, with no OJS certification or third-party audit. No review has been found for 2025, whose press kit announced 3,000 professional visitors expected. For the earlier editions, the presentation file that the organiser attached in 2023 to its agreement with Bordeaux Métropole gives more than 700 visitors and 68 exhibitors in 2017, more than 1,300 visitors and 102 exhibitors in 2018, then more than 1,500 visitors and 125 exhibitors in 2019, with no third-party audit. The website home page displays aggregate figures for the whole Cycl'Eau network, with no breakdown by edition: they say nothing about the Bordeaux audience and are not reproduced here.
Events & community
Conference programme
As of 3 October 2026, the 2027 programme is not online: the dedicated section shows no sessions. The organiser announces round tables and plenaries devoted to the specific features of the basin, with findings, field experience and solutions, as well as workshops where professionals present their technical solutions. The conferences are designed with the trade show's partners in steering committees.
The programme published for 2025 comprised seven conferences and ten workshops over two days. On the conference side: a round table on water, climate and territorial resilience, chaired by Eau 17; an institutional plenary bringing together the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, the Gironde Department, the Régie de l'eau Bordeaux Métropole, the Adour-Garonne Water Agency, Limoges Métropole and the Gironde Mayors' Association; water sobriety; protection of the resource, chaired by Aqua-Valley; innovative technologies; energy solutions for water services; solidarity between territories. On the workshop side, the Régie de l'eau Bordeaux Métropole led or co-led four, including a feedback session on its first carbon footprint assessment and another on its leak plan; ASTEE offered two, one on the PGSSE approach with the ARS Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the other on its STAR-EAU geostandard for water and sanitation networks.
In 2025, on the occasion of its 20th trade show and 25th event, the association had also announced a pavilion devoted to cooperation with Africa in the field of water, AfricaCoop', with its own cycle of four conferences on the programme, one of them on the twenty years of the Oudin-Santini law. This strand is not announced for 2027.
Villages and areas
For 2027, the organiser announces a Partners' Village, to meet the local authorities and associations committed to the territory; shared areas for the innovative companies that are members of Aquanova, with the presence of the Soltena cluster of Nouvelle-Aquitaine; Employment and Training Areas with the Office International de l'Eau and Emploi-Environnement; and the Village des Syndicats (the joint water boards' village), with the SMDE 24, Eau47 and Eau 17, devoted to pooling, sharing and solidarity.
The 2025 edition website presented a broader offer. The Innovation Village, run by the Aqua-Valley competitiveness cluster in partnership with Aquanova and Éa éco-entreprises, announced sixteen exhibitors. Soltena, the regional cluster of solutions for the ecological transition in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, announced a second area devoted to innovation, where the cluster offered the chance to meet very small businesses (TPE) from Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The Engineering Village listed fourteen engineering firms and design consultancies, including Artelia, Egis, Suez Consulting and Systra. The Espace Pedag'Eau was to be run by the Office International de l'Eau and the distributor Christaud, and a jobs wall was announced with Emploi-Environnement.
Community & networks
The major partners of the 2027 edition are the Adour-Garonne Water Agency, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, the Gironde Department, Bordeaux Métropole, the Régie de l'eau Bordeaux Métropole, the joint water boards Eau 17, Eau47 and SMDE 24, and Rives & Eaux du Sud-Ouest. The official partners are the Aquanova cluster, Les Canalisateurs, Soltena, the Office International de l'Eau and ASTEE. The edition's presentation text also cites the City of Bordeaux, Limoges Métropole, AITF and ATTF.
The trade show is part of a network of regional events built basin by basin. As of 3 October 2026, the calendar displayed by the network includes Cycl'Eau Provence-Alpes-Méditerranée, on 25 and 26 November 2026 at the Arena du Pays d'Aix, Cycl'Eau Montpellier-Occitanie, on 24 and 25 March 2027 at the Parc des Expositions de Montpellier, Cycl'Eau Corsica, on 29 and 30 September 2027 in Bastia, and Cycl'Eau Clermont-Auvergne, on 24 and 25 November 2027 at the Polydome. Each edition publishes its own exhibitor list and its own institutional partners; many national suppliers appear on several lists: as of 3 October 2026, 18 of the 22 companies registered for Montpellier-Occitanie 2027 are also registered for Bordeaux 2027.
In Bordeaux, the same exhibition centre hosts other environmental events, such as ENVIROpro Sud-Ouest Bordeaux, a trade show for environmental and energy solutions announced for 2028. Cycl'Eau stands apart through its specialisation: the trade show presents itself as devoted to water management. Other events take place outside the region, such as the Carrefour des Gestions Locales de l'Eau in Rennes, devoted to water, or Pollutec in Lyon, an environment and energy trade show: Cycl'Eau presents itself as a local event, in a “human-sized” format, designed for regional professionals of the same basin.
On site: what you need to know
The trade show takes place at the Palais 2 l'Atlantique, an events space inaugurated in spring 2019 in the heart of the Parc des Expositions de Bordeaux, on the edge of the lake, and connected to Hall 1 by a covered walkway. Its agora offers 7,140 m², according to Bordeaux Events And More (Beam), which operates the site. The trade show's practical information page gives it as the Palais de l'Atlantique, cours Charles Bricaud, 33300 Bordeaux. As of 3 October 2026, the floor plan for the 2027 edition is not available.
Tram line C serves the Parc des Expositions stop; the operator also lists buses 37 and 75. The operator quotes 35 minutes by tram from the station, or 20 minutes by car, and 60 minutes by tram from Bordeaux-Mérignac airport, or 20 minutes by car. By road, the organiser indicated in 2025: A630 ring road towards Parc des Expositions, exits 4, 4A and 4B. Parking is free, with 7,000 spaces according to the operator, which also puts the hotel offer in the surrounding area at 1,400 rooms.
2027 opening hours: Wednesday 2 June, 9am to 6pm; Thursday 3 June, 9am to 5pm. Admission is free for visitors, with mandatory online registration. The network's mobile app gives access to the floor plan, the programme and a badge scanner to keep track of your contacts.

Preparing your visit
For the exhibitor
- Register early: the participation request is made online and validating the quote constitutes a firm and irrevocable commitment. Keep in mind the cancellation scale, which rises to 60% on 5 March 2027 and to 100% on 4 April 2027 according to the calculation detailed under the table.
- Meet the deadlines in the general terms and conditions: stand fit-out project and declaration of machines to be demonstrated no later than one month before opening, insurance certificate 30 days before the trade show.
- Ask the organiser about speaking in a workshop: the programme is designed with the trade show's partners in steering committees and no procedure is published; in 2025, several workshops were proposed by companies, often with a public operator (Purecontrol with Eau 17 and the Régie des Eaux de Dordogne, VonRoll Hydro with the Régie de l'eau Bordeaux Métropole).
- For an innovative company, ask about the shared areas announced for 2027, with the presence of member companies of Aquanova and the Soltena cluster of Nouvelle-Aquitaine; in 2025, nine members of the cluster were announced at the Soltena Village. The 2027 conditions have not been published.
- Prepare the trade show as a series of meetings with project owners: in 2025, public water utilities (régies), joint water boards and local authorities were themselves listed in the directory, which made it possible to meet them on their own stand or at the Village des Syndicats.
For the decision-making visitor
- Register in advance: admission is free but registration is mandatory.
- Look out for the institutional sessions as soon as the programme is published: in 2025, the Adour-Garonne Water Agency, the Region, Eau 17, Eau47, SMDE 24, the Régie de l'eau Bordeaux Métropole and Limoges Métropole took part in several round tables.
- Visit the Village des Syndicats to compare approaches to pooling between territories.
- Use the app to scan badges and keep track of your contacts.
- Plan to leave early on Thursday, as the trade show closes at 5pm.
Policy & CSR initiatives
Sustainable water management is the very subject of the trade show: water sobriety, protection of the resource, energy efficiency of water services. The 2025 programme also included a workshop on the carbon footprint approach begun in 2024 by the Régie de l'eau Bordeaux Métropole. This content should nevertheless be distinguished from an organisational commitment: neither the event website nor the Association Cycl'Eau publishes a CSR policy, a carbon footprint or an ISO 20121 certification, and the site has no dedicated section.
The venue operator displays a documented commitment on its website. Beam, which operates the Parc des Expositions and the Palais 2 l'Atlantique, presents itself as an ISO 20121 certified organisation.
The operator displays 100% green electricity, an array of 60,000 photovoltaic panels and 89% of its 866 tonnes of waste recovered in 2024. On water, it states that it waters its green spaces with water from the lake and has a leak-prevention system.

Trajectory analysis
Bordeaux is the cradle of Cycl'Eau. The trade show was born there in April 2017 at Hangar 14, on the Quai des Chartrons, organised by the Bordeaux association CYCL'EAU LE SALON, the name that press releases of the time gave to the organiser, with 68 exhibitors over 2,500 m², according to the association's 2023 presentation file. From 2018, it doubled its floor space, to 5,400 m² for 102 exhibitors, and two other events, in Vichy and Strasbourg, were held the same year. The network now advertises more than 45 events organised in France.
A break followed. The 2021 edition, announced as an XL edition for the trade show's arrival at the Palais 2 l'Atlantique, with more than 150 stands and 200 exhibitors expected, switched in March 2021 to an entirely virtual format. The return to a physical format only took place in March 2023, nearly four years after the last physical edition, and the network has moved to a biennial rhythm since 2021. Within this framework, the trade show has found a stable form: a hall of about 7,000 m², nearly 150 exhibitors announced at each edition, an order of magnitude confirmed by the 2023 review (154 exhibitors) and the 2025 directory (about 165 distinct organisations).
The name has evolved. Presented in 2018 as the first regional trade show devoted to water management in Adour-Garonne, the trade show has carried the name Bordeaux Nouvelle-Aquitaine since the 2021 edition, while still being described as an Adour-Garonne basin event in the 2023 and 2025 press releases. The 2025 programme recalled that the region is split between the Adour-Garonne and Loire-Bretagne basins: Limoges Métropole was among the partners and the Loire-Bretagne Water Agency took part in a round table. The 2025 programme also framed the issue in figures: it estimated the annual deficit of the Adour-Garonne basin at around 1.2 billion m³ by 2050, against a current structural deficit of around 250 million m³.
For the tenth-anniversary edition, the cross-check with the 2025 directory is the only indicator available: of the 27 companies registered as of 3 October 2026, at least twenty were already in the 2025 directory, including Xylem Water Solutions France, KSB, Sewerin and Fonderies Dechaumont. Compared with the 2025 Bordeaux directory, the new registrants are Areal, Etandex, Groupe Nordikeau, Sources, Technirel and WEG; Etandex, Groupe Nordikeau, Technirel and WEG are also on the Cycl'Eau Montpellier-Occitanie 2027 list. The big names of 2025, such as Saint-Gobain PAM Canalisation or Veolia, do not appear yet: as of 3 October 2026, a comparison with the full 2025 directory is premature.
As of 3 October 2026, no Bordeaux edition after June 2027 has been announced.
