Who exhibits
Typical profile
The 2025 edition's directory, as archived the day after the show, listed 68 entries, partners and institutions included. It featured manufacturers of pipes, manholes and foundry parts, specialists in pumping, metering, leak detection and remote management, players in water treatment and stormwater management, a few merchants and distributors, consultancies and laboratories, as well as training bodies.
The show mixes major national suppliers with local companies. In 2025, the directory included, for example, Saint-Gobain PAM Canalisation, OTV Veolia, Suez, AVK France, Wavin France, Lacroix and Tractel, alongside Auvergne-based players such as Fuji Electric France in Clermont-Ferrand, Terana Laboratoires in Lempdes, Sol Solution in Riom, Greencell in Saint-Beauzire and the Groupe Luvica in Montluçon. Around ten companies were announced at the Innovation Village, run by the Aquanova cluster in partnership with the Aqua-Valley cluster: Acwa Robotics, Ares Contrôle, Elidreo, Newmips and Perax Technologies, among others.
Notable exhibitors
The 2027 edition's exhibitor page is updated as registrations come in. On 10 October 2026, it lists 14 companies: Bayard, Diehl Metering, Etandex, Fonderies Dechaumont, Huot, Itecom, KSB, Molecor Tecnología, Panatec France, Paragel, Plasson, Poloplast France, Technirel and Tubao.
Eight of them were already in the 2025 directory: Bayard, Etandex, Fonderies Dechaumont, Huot, Itecom, KSB, Paragel and Poloplast France. All 14 also appear, as of 10 October 2026, on the list for the Montpellier edition in March 2027: these early registrations come from national suppliers who follow several events in the network.
Visitor quality
The association states its aim of connecting elected officials, local authorities, delegated operators, manufacturers, consultancies, solution providers and merchant networks. The 2027 edition's page presents the show as the meeting point for water industry professionals in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, and it is also open to students and enthusiasts.
In 2025, the conferences gave the floor to local authorities and public bodies from the area: Clermont Auvergne Métropole, Vichy Communauté, the Loire-Bretagne Water Agency, the ARS Auvergne, the Cerema and the Caisse des Dépôts. No attendance figures have been published for Clermont-Ferrand, and there is no OJS certification. The overall figures shown on the website's home page cover the whole network and are not used here.
Events & community
Conference programme
The 2027 programme is not yet online: on 10 October 2026, the dedicated section shows no sessions. The conferences and workshops are designed with the show's partners in steering committees.
The 2025 programme gives an idea of the editorial line. Seven conferences were announced: runoff and flood risk, led by the Loire-Bretagne Water Agency and Clermont Auvergne Métropole; an institutional plenary on water and territories; bathing water, between economic and health issues; the price of water, between funding and social acceptability; the rollout of the drinking water safety plan (PGSSE), led by ASTEE; renaturation and nature-based solutions; and the reuse of treated wastewater (REUT). Four workshops completed the programme, including artificial intelligence applied to network monitoring, offered by Suez, and the free-software approach to sanitation in local authorities.
Villages and areas
For 2027, the organiser announces expert villages devoted to innovation (Aquanova, Soltena), partner villages (Loire-Bretagne Water Agency, Clermont Auvergne Métropole, GRAIE) and a Pédag'eau area run by the Office International de l'Eau. The list of villages is not yet detailed on the website.
For 2025, the Innovation Village was announced with companies working in metrology, reuse of treated wastewater, water treatment, biomonitoring and digital technology. The Pédag'eau area announced activities and water quiz sessions over the two days.
Community & networks
The major partners of the 2027 edition are the Loire-Bretagne Water Agency, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and Clermont Auvergne Métropole; the presentation text also mentions Vichy Communauté. The official partners are GRAIE, the Aquanova cluster, ASTEE, Les Canalisateurs and the Office International de l'Eau.
The show is part of a network of regional events. The next ones are Cycl'Eau Provence-Alpes-Méditerranée, on 25 and 26 November 2026 in Aix-en-Provence, Cycl'Eau Montpellier-Occitanie, on 24 and 25 March 2027, Cycl'Eau Bordeaux Nouvelle-Aquitaine, on 2 and 3 June 2027, and Cycl'Eau Corsica, on 29 and 30 September 2027. Each edition has its own exhibitor list. Cycl'Eau presents itself as a local event, in a human-scale format. Other events devoted to water or the environment are listed on Agoris, such as the Carrefour des Gestions Locales de l'Eau in Rennes or Pollutec, the environment and energy trade show, in Lyon.
On site: what you need to know
The show takes place at the Polydome, place du 1er Mai, 63100 Clermont-Ferrand. Its operator, Clermont Auvergne Events, presents it as the congress centre of Clermont-Ferrand: three exhibition spaces of 700, 1,500 and 3,700 m², a 650-seat auditorium and 16 meeting rooms. The space occupied by the show is not specified and the floor plan for the 2027 edition is not yet available.
The access information published for the 2025 edition remains useful: tram line A, towards Les Vergnes, stop 1er Mai; free parking for visitors. Clermont-Ferrand station is a 5-minute drive away, the airport 12 minutes. According to the operator, the site has a free underground car park with 170 spaces and 1,000 outdoor spaces.
2027 opening hours: Wednesday 24 November from 9am to 6pm, Thursday 25 November from 9am to 5pm. Admission is free for visitors, with compulsory registration. The network's mobile app gives access to the floor plan, the programme and a badge scanner for keeping track of your contacts.
How much does it cost to exhibit
The Association Cycl'Eau does not publish any price list online. Participation goes through a request on the organiser's platform, followed by an online quote; validating the quote constitutes a firm commitment. Prices must be requested from the organiser.
The only published figures are in the general terms of sale, which set the cancellation scale: 40% of the invoiced amount remains due up to 90 days before the show, 60% from 89 to 60 days, and the full amount from 59 days. For the November 2027 edition, counting calendar days from the first day of the show, the rate rises to 60% on 27 August 2027 and to 100% on 26 September 2027.
Planning your visit
For exhibitors
- Register early: exhibitor registrations are open and the organiser encourages booking to secure a preferred location. Keep the cancellation scale in mind (40%, 60% then 100% depending on the number of days before the show, see above) and confirm it with the organiser when you receive the quote.
- Submit any stand design project to the organiser at the latest one month before opening, as required by the general terms.
- For an innovative company, find out about the Innovation Village: in 2025, it was run by the Aquanova cluster, in partnership with the Aqua-Valley cluster. The 2027 conditions have not been published.
- Ask the organiser about speaking opportunities: the programme is designed with the show's partners in steering committees, and no page describes an application procedure for exhibitors. In 2025, workshops were offered by companies such as Suez and the publisher of the Ariane solution.
For decision-maker visitors
- Register in advance: admission is free but registration is compulsory. In 2025, attending a conference also required logging in to your account on the organiser's platform and registering for the event.
- Once the programme is published, look out for the talks by the Loire-Bretagne Water Agency: in 2025, it led the conference on runoff and spoke on the price of water and water charges.
- On Thursday, the show closes at 5pm (6pm on Wednesday): schedule your meetings and the sessions that matter accordingly.
Sustainability policy & initiatives
Sustainable water management is the very subject of the show: runoff, renaturation, reuse of treated wastewater, drinking water safety. This content should nevertheless be distinguished from an organisational commitment. Neither the event's website nor the Association Cycl'Eau publishes a sustainability policy, a carbon footprint assessment or an ISO 20121 certification.
The venue provides documented commitments. Clermont Auvergne Events, operator of the Polydome and part of the GL events group's network of venues, states that all its sites have been ISO 20121 certified since June 2022. It sets out three priorities: reducing the carbon footprint, developing the circular economy by limiting disposable items, and promoting diversity and the socio-economic development of local areas. Actions cited include waste sorting and recovery, redistribution of unconsumed meals to charities and the listing of caterers using seasonal regional produce.

Trajectory analysis
Cycl'Eau's Auvergne event was born in Vichy. The 2019 edition's page presented it as the second event, co-organised for its conferences with the Loire-Bretagne Water Agency, a partner “as in 2018”; the 2022 page announced the third Cycl'Eau Vichy event, at the Palais du Lac. A themed day was still held in Vichy in September 2023, before the move to the Polydome in Clermont-Ferrand in November 2025. The core of partners followed: the Loire-Bretagne Water Agency, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and Vichy Communauté, joined by Clermont Auvergne Métropole, already present in Vichy and a major partner in 2027.
Since 2021, the network has run its events on a biennial cycle; in Clermont-Ferrand, the 2027 edition follows that of 2025, at the same venue. For 2027, the organiser reuses the 2025 presentation, identical on several points: around sixty exhibitors announced, the same expert villages, the same Pédag'eau area. It describes an area with contrasting climates where, according to the CESER Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes that it cites, the average temperature has risen by 2.2°C in 60 years, with rarer but more intense rainfall.
With no published figures, the return of exhibitors is the only indicator available. On 10 October 2026, more than a year before opening, 14 companies are registered, eight of them already present in 2025; the comparison with the 68 entries in the 2025 directory will only be meaningful closer to the show.
No edition beyond 2027 has been announced.
