Agoris analysis · updated October 2026

Key facts

  • DevOps REX is a French-language professional conference devoted to experience reports (REX, for "retour d’expérience") on the devops approach in business. It is not a trade show in the classic sense: the organiser describes it as a 100% conference format, with paid registration, backed by an exhibition area called “the Solutions area”.
  • Next edition: the 7th, on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 December 2026, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Hall 5.2, from 9am to 6pm on both days. It is a new venue: the 2025 and 2019 editions were held at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie.
  • Organiser: DevOps REX is an event of REX Productions, the company that publishes the website, organised by Infopro Digital Trade Shows, which is also the organiser named in the general terms of sale.
  • Annual frequency since the 2024 return, after four years of absence. The conference was created by the devopsdays Paris team.
  • For 2026, the organiser announces more than 600 participants and around thirty sponsors and exhibitors. These are targets, not a final tally.
  • The Open Source Experience trade show takes place on the same dates and in the same hall. The DevOps REX pass gives access to its conferences and its exhibition.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The Solutions area brings together software vendors and service providers from the software production chain. The families listed on the website are specific: planning and tracking, development, automation, CI/CD, infrastructure, cloud, monitoring, DevSecOps, open source, consulting and coaching, AI.

The website also states what it refuses to be: a pretext for product and service presentations. On the site, the organiser announces zero commercial pitches: speakers tell the story of projects carried out in their own companies. The exhibitor therefore comes for the conversation that follows the talk, during the breaks, at lunch and at the first day’s exhibitors’ cocktail, included in the Full Access pass.

Notable exhibitors

The list of 2026 sponsors and exhibitors had 19 companies at the time of writing, and the organiser announces further arrivals. The home page breaks the 2026 sponsors down by tier: Passbolt, Rudder, Chainguard and Outscale at Platinum; Spectrum Groupe / Atlassian, Kaliop, Exoscale, Zabbix and Arcad Software at Gold; Skalio, SUSE and Fastly at Silver; Teclib, Calopsys, Worteks, FactorFX and Red Hat at Bronze. The exhibitor list adds Bpifrance and Somfy.

The core is stable from one edition to the next. Arcad Software, Kaliop, Rudder, Spectrum Groupe / Atlassian and Worteks were already among the exhibitors on the floor plans published in the press kits for 2024 (16) and 2025 (22).

Visitor quality

The 2026 sponsor brochure shows 600 conference attendees, 64% of them decision-makers, and 43.3% of participants coming from companies with more than 1,000 employees. The job titles listed range from engineer, developer and architect to CTO, CIO, infrastructure manager and product owner. These figures are not a final tally: 600 is also the announced target, and the brochure does not say which edition the profile was measured on, while showing a wall of logos titled “extract of 2026 attendees”. No independent audit of attendance is published.

Two filters shape access to the conferences. Registration is paid and reserved for professionals, who must give a company name. And the organiser states that all talks are given in French, with no simultaneous interpretation: the audience is French-speaking technical teams, not an international crowd. As for the exhibition area, the May 2026 press release speaks of free access, whereas the ticketing page lists it within the pass: the organiser does not give a clear answer.

Activities & community

Conference programme

The 2026 edition changes format. It moves from a single-session programme to several simultaneous tracks, with two rooms devoted to experience reports, and the website announces 40 talks. The May 2026 press release mentions more than 60 talks, debates and demonstrations, without detailing the count. The formats announced: lightning talks, small-group round tables, peer debates and demonstrations of solutions, included in the ticket.

Six themes structure the call for papers, open until 27 September 2026: DevOps and DevOps strategy; DevSecOps, including software supply chain security and NIS2 and CRA compliance; FinOps; Platform Engineering and developer experience; AI and DevOps; sovereignty and strategic independence. Speakers are selected by a programme committee.

At the time of writing, eleven 2026 speakers had been announced, including from Michelin, Accenture / Avanade, Exoscale, Back Market, Energy Pool, Criteo and Orange. The days and times of the sessions had not yet been set.

To gauge the level, the 2025 edition put teams from BPCE IT, Sopra Steria, Orange, Datadog, Matmut, iMSA and Cloud Temple on stage, along with a round table on digital sovereignty with representatives of Theodo, the DGFIP and Groupama. Replays of the 2024 and 2025 editions are online on the website.

Open Source Experience, the neighbouring trade show

DevOps REX takes place on the same dates and in the same venue as Open Source Experience, a trade show backed by Systematic Paris-Région and also organised by Infopro Digital Trade Shows, now in its 6th edition. The DevOps REX pass gives access to it: 90 providers of services and solutions and more than 130 talks, according to the DevOps REX website.

The two events should not be confused: Open Source Experience is the main trade show by size, DevOps REX the specialised paid conference. The figures for one do not apply to the other.

Community & networks

The founder, Jonathan Clarke, is head of the programme and a member of the committee. According to his biography on the website, he also runs the Rudder business, a continuous configuration software vendor among the 2026 Platinum sponsors. The committee brings together profiles from Datadog, Couchbase, Scaleway, OVH, Accenture, Zenika, Orange and Arquus.

On the press side, the home page displays partner media (the Partners page is titled “Partenaires 2025”), mostly IT media: L’Usine Digitale, Silicon, Programmez, Developpez, IT social, Global Security Mag, Solutions numériques, ITPro, La revue du Digital, Linux magazine and SysOps Pratique.

On site: what to know

The conference takes place in Hall 5.2 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, entrance A1, place de la Porte de Versailles, 75015 Paris. Access by metro on line 12, Porte de Versailles station, exit 1; by tram on lines T2 and T3a, Porte de Versailles - Parc des Expositions station; by bus on lines 80 and 39.

Both days run from 9am to 6pm. The two-day Full Access pass is listed at €430 incl. VAT, and at €365.50 incl. VAT at the Early Bird rate for online payment. It includes the conferences, the Solutions area, the breaks and the lunchtime cocktail, the first day’s exhibitors’ cocktail and entry to Open Source Experience. Quote requests and payment by invoice go through the contact address on the website.

How much does it cost to exhibit

Infopro Digital Trade Shows does not publish any sponsorship price list online: the 2026 brochure presents the benefits of the packs, participation is by sponsorship pack with a stand included, and prices must be requested from the sales team. The amounts below are indicative orders of magnitude for a technical conference of this format. They are in no way the official DevOps REX prices.
Poste de dépenseFourchette basseFourchette haute
Sponsorship pack with stand, entry level (indicative)€3,000€8,000
Sponsorship pack with stand, top tier (indicative)€10,000€30,000
Stand dressing, materials and giveaways€500€4,000
On-site team, travel and accommodation (2 days)€1,000€5,000
INDICATIVE TOTAL (2 days)~€4,500~€39,000

Totals: low = entry-level pack, high = top-tier pack. At an event where the organiser announces zero commercial pitches on stage, the return is earned during the breaks and at the exhibitors’ cocktail. The best lever remains free: submit a genuine client experience report to the call for papers. Prices to be requested from the organiser.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Align your offer with the six 2026 themes: FinOps, Platform Engineering, AI and sovereignty are the topics added over the last two years.
  • Prepare a client experience report with a customer for the next edition’s call for papers rather than a product presentation: it is the route the organiser puts forward for getting on stage.
  • Use the appointment-booking module with exhibitors, provided for in the attendee registration terms, as soon as you create your personal account, to schedule meetings.
  • Make the most of the first day’s exhibitors’ cocktail, open to all Full Access pass holders.
  • Allow time at Open Source Experience: the website invites attendees to visit its exhibition during their breaks.

For the decision-maker visitor

  • Book early: the Early Bird rate only applies to online card payment, and registration is reserved for professionals.
  • Follow the publication of the detailed programme to choose between the two rooms, which now run in parallel.
  • Come with concrete questions: the talks deal with real cases, failures included, which lends itself well to a direct exchange with the speaker.
  • Combine with the Open Source Experience conferences, included in the pass.

Policy & CSR initiatives

The DevOps REX website has no page devoted to environmental or social commitments, and the event holds no ISO 20121 certification. Its code of conduct concerns a harassment-free event, which falls under the social side.

At organiser level, the Open Source Experience website publishes a page titled “Notre démarche RSE” that describes initiatives under way since 2020 by the Infopro Digital Trade Shows teams: stands and furniture reused across several of the group’s trade shows, LED lighting, waste sorting, awareness of low-carbon transport. The page mostly details measures at SIDO in Lyon; none is presented as applied to DevOps REX. The page also mentions a document of sorting rules produced with Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, without naming DevOps REX.

The venue provides a verifiable framework: Viparis, operator of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, states that in 2014 it was the first events operator in the world certified ISO 20121 across all its sites, and has run its Better Events policy since 2018.

On the content side, the environmental footprint of IT is a topic present in the programme without being a focus: the 2024 edition included an experience report from Scaleway on environmental criteria for cloud infrastructure.

Trajectory analysis

The conference has had two lives. A first series that stops in 2019, then a four-year break, and a return in 2024 alongside Open Source Experience and under the organisation of Infopro Digital Trade Shows. Since then the rhythm has been annual, and the conference follows the open source trade show in its moves: Palais des Congrès in 2024, Cité des Sciences in 2025, Porte de Versailles in 2026.

The broadening shows in the themes. In 2024, one devops day and one devsecops day; in 2025, four tracks with the arrival of AI in production and governance; in 2026, six themes with FinOps and Platform Engineering, and two rooms in parallel. The size of the exhibition, for its part, remains modest: fifteen to twenty companies in 2024 and in 2025 according to the floor plans, and around thirty announced for 2026. The same targets of more than 600 participants and more than 30 sponsors already appeared in the 2025 press release, with no final tally published afterwards: that is the gap to watch.

For an exhibitor, DevOps REX is not a volume trade show. It is a room of a few hundred French-speaking practitioners and technical decision-makers, whose access to the conferences is filtered by the price of the ticket, closer to formats such as Devoxx France than to the big IT trade shows.

The dates of the 2027 edition had not been announced at the time of writing.
