Agoris analysis · updated September 2026

Key takeaways

  • Devoxx France is the conference for developers held every spring in Paris. It isn't a trade show in the classic sense: it's a paid technical conference paired with an exhibition hall where breaks, breakfasts and lunches take place. The organiser itself describes it as a mix between a conference and a trade show.
  • Next edition: the 15th, from Wednesday 7 to Friday 9 April 2027, at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, Porte Maillot. Each day starts at 9am with keynotes.
  • Organiser: Quantixx SARL, a Paris-based company that has organised the event since 2015. Founded in 2012 by the Paris JUG association, the conference belongs to the Devoxx family, a trademark owned by The Java Community BV. No co-organiser.
  • Annual frequency, always held in April in recent years: 17-19 April 2024, 16-18 April 2025, 22-24 April 2026.
  • Latest published results, for the 2026 edition: 4,650 attendees, exhibitors and speakers, and more than 240 talks over three days. For 2027, the organiser is announcing 80 exhibitors and 4,500 people per day.
  • Ticketing is reserved for professionals. It opens in early November 2026; the call for speakers opens at the same time and closes on 10 January 2027.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

Exhibitors come looking for two things the exhibitor page states plainly: visibility with technical teams, and recruitment. Every package combines an equipped stand, badges and online visibility; the two highest tiers include a 45-minute speaking slot in the programme.

The official 2026 list shows three families. Technical vendors and platforms first: Microsoft, GitHub, Docker, Red Hat, Redis, Harness, Aerospike, Okta, Sonar, Clever Cloud, Scalingo, OVH Cloud. Then the large employers of developers, banks, insurers and industrial groups: AXA, Groupe BPCE, Crédit Agricole, Generali, BNP Paribas, Thales, Michelin, SNCF Connect. Finally, consultancies and digital platforms, from Sopra Steria and Capgemini to Mirakl, Doctolib, Criteo, Betclic and Winamax.

Many of the logos on the page link through to exhibitors' careers sites rather than their product pages: a clear signal of what these companies come to Devoxx France to do.

Notable exhibitors

The 2026 exhibitors and partners list, ranked by tier, lists 54 companies across the five stand tiers: 4 Diamond (AXA, Groupe BPCE, Thales, Winamax), 12 Platinum, 13 Gold, 13 Silver and 12 Bronze. On top of this are the Meet & Greet evening partners, Leboncoin tech and Winamax.

The 2027 list is not yet published: the exhibitor campaign opened on 1 September 2026, and spaces are allocated in order of payment.

Visitor quality

The audience is that of a technical conference: developers, architects, tech leads and technical decision-makers, according to the exhibitor page. Ticket sales are restricted to companies and to professionals acting within their line of work, and registration can go through professional training funding.

The organiser publishes a detailed breakdown for 2024: 4,720 different people over three days, including 3,594 conference attendees, 309 speakers, 320 exhibitors counted as people, 500 free visitors admitted to the hall after 2pm, and an organising team of 54 people. This is rare information, and it shows that the hall is mainly crossed by paying attendees who came for the content.

Content is 75% in French and 25% in English. No third-party audit of attendance is published: the figures are the organiser's own.

Programme & community

Conference programme

The programme is built by a selection committee independent of the organisation. In 2026, its 25 members received 1,100 submissions. The most requested format is the 45-minute talk: 114 topics selected out of 684 submissions that year. Keynotes are by invitation.

Six formats coexist: 45-minute talks, 30-minute Tools-in-Action sessions, a 15-minute short format reserved for first-time speakers, 2-to-3-hour Deep Dive and Hands-on Lab sessions, and B.O.F. sessions on Thursday evening. Nine themes are announced for 2027, from AI and agentic systems to Java and languages, taking in front-end, architecture, security, cloud and engineering culture.

The 2027 timetable is published: the call for speakers opens in early November 2026, closes on 10 January 2027, with notifications in early February and the agenda published at the end of February 2027. All sessions are filmed and published free on YouTube.

Community & networks

The conference was born in the Java community: founded by the Paris JUG association, it keeps the Java platform as its DNA while covering web, cloud, mobile and AI. In 2026, 18 community groups were among its partners, mostly regional JUGs from Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes and Toulouse, as well as Duchess France and Codeurs en Seine.

On the media side, the 2026 partners were À La French, Believemy, Les Cast Codeurs, Les Joies du Code, Programmez! and Technosaures.

Devoxx France is part of the Devoxx family of conferences, whose founding event is held every November in Antwerp, Belgium.

On site: what you need to know

The conference occupies two levels of the Palais des Congrès de Paris, Porte Maillot, since a second floor was opened in 2024. The 2026 floor plan places rooms 141 to 143 and 151 to 153 on the first floor, with the Amphi Bleu keynote hall and rooms 241 to 243 and 251 to 253 on the second floor, giving access to the exhibitor hall.

Getting there: métro line 1, Porte Maillot station, Palais des Congrès exit; RER E and the Roissybus from Porte Maillot; parking at Porte Maillot. Accessibility information for people with reduced mobility is published by Viparis, the venue operator.

A cloakroom and luggage storage are set up on level 1, in the Ternes area, with limited capacity. Lunch, a sandwich chosen from meat, fish or vegetarian, and drinks are included in the ticket; no specific menu is offered, and the Galeries gourmandes on level -1 offer other options, at attendees' own expense. The Meet & Greet evening takes place on Thursday from 7pm.

Three passes exist: Wednesday, Thursday-Friday and three days. Each ticket is represented by a named badge; proof of identity may be requested to collect it. The organiser states the conference has sold out since 2012: in 2019, it sold out by mid-January for an edition held at the end of April. A second batch of tickets goes on sale at the end of February.

How much it costs to exhibit

Quantixx does not publish an online price list: the brochure and rates are sent on request from the Become an exhibitor page. The amounts below are indicative orders of magnitude for a technical conference of this format in Paris. They are in no way Devoxx France's official rates.
Poste de dépenseFourchette basseFourchette haute
Partner package with equipped stand, 6 to 21 m² (partitions, signage, electricity, basic furniture included)€5,000€45,000
Stand fit-out, screens, demo equipment€1,000€8,000
Giveaways, stand activities, prize draw€1,000€6,000
On-site team for three days: travel, accommodation in Paris€1,500€8,000
INDICATIVE TOTAL (3 days)~€8,500~€67,000

The package determines most of the budget: stand size, number of badges and, from Platinum level upwards, a 45-minute speaking slot. Packages without a stand also exist: partnering the Meet & Greet evening, the speakers' dinner, or a fully online presence. Rates are available on request from Quantixx.

Preparing your visit

For exhibitors

  • Get in position early: the 2027 campaign opened on 1 September 2026, and stand location is allocated by payment date, first paid, first placed.
  • Distinguish between badges: the exhibitor badge grants access to the hall and catering, not to the conference rooms. Packages include a set number of three-day or combined badges, to be split between the stand team and people who want to follow the programme.
  • Prepare a technical talk if the package includes one: the audience comes for the content and quickly notices a sales pitch.
  • Bring technical profiles to the stand, especially if recruitment is the goal.
  • Collect badges at the exhibitor reception, at the hall entrance, open from the day before for set-up.

For decision-making visitors

  • Buy early: places sell out several weeks before the conference, and sales openings are announced through the newsletter.
  • Choose the pass that fits your availability: Wednesday only, Thursday-Friday or three days, with each day's programme published at the end of February.
  • Build your schedule in the event's mobile app to avoid full rooms.
  • Catch up on the rest by video: all sessions are published free on YouTube a few weeks after the event.

CSR policy & initiatives

Devoxx France's code of conduct contains an article on the environment: the organisers state an eco-responsible approach aimed at reducing energy and resource consumption, encouraging reuse and recycling, and cutting the carbon footprint. This remains a statement of principle: no carbon footprint report, quantified indicator or ISO 20121 certification specific to the event is published, and Quantixx does not publish a separate CSR programme.

The social side is better documented. The same code of conduct sets out a commitment to diversity and non-discrimination, and the 15-minute short format is reserved for first-time speakers. Publishing all sessions free on YouTube widens access to the content beyond paying attendees.

The venue provides a verifiable framework: Viparis, operator of the Palais des Congrès de Paris, states it was the first events operator in the world to be certified ISO 20121 across all its sites and its whole activity, and is rolling out its Better Events sustainability strategy through to 2030.

Trajectory analysis

The turning point is 2024. Before that, the conference ran on a single level of the Palais des Congrès: the 2019 edition drew 3,000 attendees and sold out by mid-January. In 2024, opening a second floor added 1,400 places for sale, and attendance settled around 4,500 people per day. It has stayed at that level since: 4,720 different people in 2024, 4,650 attendees, exhibitors and speakers in 2026.

On the exhibition side, the official lists show a slight contraction in the number of companies with a stand, from 63 in 2024 to 58 in 2025 and then 54 in 2026, with a stable core year after year: AXA, Thales and Winamax in Diamond, Crédit Agricole, Microsoft, Mirakl and Sopra Steria in Platinum, GitHub, Criteo, Michelin, Red Hat and SNCF Connect in Gold. The organiser is announcing 80 exhibitors for 2027, a figure higher than the published lists, without the site specifying how it counts.

The subject matter follows the evolution of the profession: AI and agentic systems now open the list of nine 2027 themes, ahead of Java, historically at the heart of the conference. For an exhibitor, it's one of the few French events where several thousand developers stay in one place for three days.
