Who exhibits

Typical profile

The Foire de Paris is a paid, general-interest consumer trade fair covering almost every segment of household spending: home interiors, household equipment, international crafts, gastronomy, mobility, fashion, beauty and personal services. The attendee base is predominantly from the Paris region (historically more than 70% from Île-de-France), with a marked family and upper-income (CSP+) skew across the home and décor sections.

On the exhibitor side, the mix is balanced between:

  • French SMEs and craftspeople (Made in Paris, Home & Co Paris)
  • International craft and gastronomy brands (World in Paris)
  • Major manufacturers and brands (Auto Mobil Paris)
  • Independent inventors (Concours Lépine)

The four events

The official website presents the 2027 edition around the same four events as in 2026. The floor space, brand count and spotlighted countries figures below are those of the 2026 edition: 2027 detail is not published at this date.

  • Home & Co Paris, presented as "Europe's biggest home show": home interiors, décor, kitchen, renovation, furnishings. In 2026, around 300 brands across 4 halls (1, 5, 6 and 7), in partnership with l'Ameublement Français. This has historically been the most visited section of the fair.
  • World in Paris, presented as "the number one event for world travel and craftsmanship": international crafts and world gastronomy. In 2026, 25,000 m², 500 craftspeople from around 50 destinations. Countries in the spotlight for 2026: Cameroon and Senegal for Africa, Kosovo, Italy and Greece for Europe, China, India and Vietnam for Asia. The event also draws on long-standing partnerships with the French Antilles, renewed and strengthened for the 2026 edition.
  • Auto Mobil Paris, presented as "the flagship event for cars and new mobility". In 2026, 5,000 m² in Hall 5 plus an outdoor extension, 6 manufacturers present and +65% floor space versus 2025, with the organiser putting an emphasis on the development of electric vehicles.
  • Made in Paris, presented as "the most festive marketplace for French know-how": French creation, local craftsmanship and regional flavours. New event launched for the 2026 edition, on 15,000 m² dedicated to Made in France. It carries the Start-up Boost scheme, the fair's commitment to French entrepreneurship since 2018, whose 2026 winners were unveiled in March 2026.

Quality of the attendee base

  • More than 400,000 visitors welcomed over 12 days at the 2026 edition, i.e. +5% attendance according to the organiser's results.
  • Primary target: private individuals from the Paris region, with home and décor purchase projects, looking for kitchen and lifestyle inspiration, plus family audiences at weekends.
  • Average spending power above that of a typical major consumer trade fair, with the paid ticket acting as a natural filter.
  • International attendee base fed by the World in Paris section.
  • The fair's professional section reports 90% of visitors being buyers and 274 million euros spent by visitors over 12 days.

Activities and community

Concours Lépine

The Concours Lépine is the fair's historic attraction, hosted in Pavillon 1. Created in 1901 by Louis Lépine, Prefect of Police of Paris, to support small inventors and craftspeople in the face of industrial competition, it is today the emblematic gathering for independent French inventors. The prize-giving ceremony traditionally takes place on the Friday evening, with a high-profile prize list that guarantees significant press coverage for the fair.

The 2026 edition of the contest, the 125th, lined up 250 inventions in competition across 6 themes:

  • Univers Connecté Lépine
  • Quotidien et Art de Vivre
  • Art et Création
  • Santé et Inclusivité
  • Transport et Industrie
  • Le Monde Invente

The Concours Lépine has announced its 126th edition for 30 April to 10 May 2027, held as part of the Foire de Paris, Pavillon 1 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles; the Foire de Paris website does not yet detail it at this date.

Activity programme

1,000 hours of free activities are announced for 2027, in the formats highlighted by the organiser: festival, concerts, workshops, carnival, shows, championships, demonstrations. The website also announces one late-night opening.

In 2026, the stages included:

  • Food Truck Village: street food and culinary demonstrations
  • Guinguette: musical and festive evening atmosphere
  • Foire de Paris Junior: space dedicated to children and families
  • Tastes & Trends: gastronomy and lifestyle trends
  • Marché Seconde Main: second-hand fashion and accessories, a circular-economy anchor
  • A musical highlight, the KeBlack concert on Saturday 2 May 2026 on the Festival des Tropiques stage

2027 programme detail is not published at this date.

The late-night opening

A single late-night opening is scheduled for 2027: Saturday 8 May, until 10 pm, with the fair open from 10 am to 7 pm on other days.

As a point of reference, the 2026 late-night opening was held on Saturday 9 May until 10 pm and, according to the organiser, broke the attendance record since 2019, drawing tens of thousands of visitors. It carried a specific rate of €9 at the ticket office, valid from 5 pm to 10 pm.

  • Exhibitor awareness of responsible practices, with a best-practice kit circulated beforehand.
  • Waste sorting: 34% recovered in 2024, out of a volume of around 400 tonnes generated over the course of the event.
  • ADEME calculator made available to visitors to estimate their carbon impact (transport, on-site catering).
  • RATP partnership: a strong incentive towards modal shift to public transport.
  • Circular-fashion pop-up shops integrated into the visitor route in 2026.
  • Marché Seconde Main: present in 2026, second-hand fashion and accessories, on a circular-economy line.

These measures sit within Comexposium's CSR strategy, operating Paris Expo Porte de Versailles with Viparis. Comexposium also steers its CSR actions through its internal ALL INvolved programme (since 2022) and has obtained the RSE Positive Company® label. The venue, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, is operated by Viparis, ISO 20121 certified across all of its Paris venues (including Porte de Versailles) since 2014, a certification renewed for its 4th consecutive cycle in 2025. Trajectory analysis

Since 1904 the Foire de Paris has established itself as France's biggest shopping and festive event. Created on the initiative of the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Paris and several professional organisations through the Comité des Expositions de Paris (a 1901-law association founded in 1903), inspired by the success of the Leipzig fair and driven in particular by the jeweller Gustave Sandoz, the first edition was held on 17 March 1904 at the Carreau du Temple with 500 exhibitors. The fair has been based at the Porte de Versailles exhibition park since 1925.

The 2026 edition, the 122nd, was a year of repositioning: the launch of Made in Paris, a new logo, new poster and new visitor route unveiled as early as September 2025, the first edition of the Baromètre de la Consommation des Français, and an opening by Emmanuel Grégoire, Mayor of Paris. The results published by the organiser on 12 May 2026 report more than 400,000 visitors over 12 days and +5% attendance, with a late-night opening at its highest attendance level since 2019.

The 2027 edition carries over the same core: the same four events, the same venue, the same daily opening hours, one late-night opening. The only structural change announced at this date is the duration, cut from 12 to 11 days. The organiser Comexposium (born of the 2008 merger of Comexpo CCI Paris IDF and Exposium Unibail-Rodamco) is thus playing the card of stability after a 2026 edition of overhaul, without touching the spring calendar format or the consumer positioning. The 2027 programme, hall plan and ticketing remain to be published.

Unless otherwise stated, all factual data in this listing comes from the organiser's official website (foiredeparis.fr).
