Innorobo by SIDO - trade show overview

Agoris analysis · updated June 2026

Key takeaways

  • Innorobo by SIDO is the dedicated robotics zone within SIDO Lyon, France's meeting point for the convergence of IoT, AI, XR and robotics. Not a standalone trade show: since the 2025 relaunch, Innorobo has been integrated into the SIDO village and addresses industrial, mobile and collaborative robotics as well as embedded AI. The official website names the host event SIDO Lyon and its robotics zone INNOROBO; the former sido-event.com domain redirects to sido-lyon.com.
  • 2027: Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 September 2027 at Eurexpo Lyon, Boulevard de l'Europe, 69680 Chassieu. The official website announces this date for the 13th SIDO edition.
  • Change of venue in 2027: the trade show is leaving the Centre de Congrès de Lyon (Cité Internationale, 69006), which hosted it in 2025 and 2026, for the Eurexpo Lyon exhibition park in Chassieu, on the eastern edge of the metropolitan area. Journey times, car parks and public transport all change entirely: see the Eurexpo Lyon listing.
  • 2027 co-location confirmed: Lyon Cyber Expo is announcing its 4th edition at the same dates and venue, on 15 and 16 September 2027 at Eurexpo Lyon. IMPACT by SIDO (responsible digital technology) and INNOROBO remain zones within the SIDO village.
  • 2026 edition (past): 16 and 17 September 2026 at the Centre de Congrès de Lyon - Cité Internationale, the 12th SIDO edition. No official review of this edition had been published at the time of writing.
  • Official review of the 2025 edition (17 and 18 September 2025, 11th SIDO edition, Cité Internationale): 381 exhibitors, 8,510 trade visitors, 62 conference sessions, 210 speakers. The Innorobo zone made its return there with close to 40 robotics players gathered in Hall Ouest, in partnership with Coboteam.
  • Organiser: Infopro Digital Trade Shows (IPDTS). The Innorobo trade show was created in 2011 on the initiative of Bruno Bonnell, then chairman of the Syrobo trade body. From 2012, its organisation was taken over by Catherine Simon, who founded the company Innoecho and ran the show until Infopro Digital acquired the assets in 2018, working closely with her at that point, ahead of the brand's 2025 relaunch under the SIDO Lyon umbrella.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

On its INNOROBO page, the organiser groups the expected offering into four families:

  • Robotic Systems & Physical AI: robots, cobots, mobile systems (AMRs, AGVs, UGVs), humanoids and drones.
  • Components & Perception: embedded intelligence and mechanics (mechatronics, 2D/3D vision, SLAM navigation, energy infrastructure).
  • Intelligence & Software: control and Edge AI (MLOps, fleet management, OT/IT cybersecurity), connected via management tools (MES, ERP, CMMS).
  • Integration & Services: full engineering of robotic cells, consulting and integration through to maintenance in operational conditions (MCO).

On the applications side, the organiser cites healthcare, construction, services, mobility, industry and logistics as the sectors targeted by the zone. By design, the SIDO co-location broadens the audience to IoT, AI, cybersecurity and responsible-digital decision-makers, that is, the entire technology stack of a smart-factory project.

Notable exhibitors in the 2025 Innorobo zone

Identified during the 2025 relaunch, the year the zone brought together close to 40 robotics players:

  • AICA: intelligence for adaptive industrial robotics.
  • Maxon: precision motorisation and drives, a long-standing benchmark in robotics.
  • Enchanted Tools: humanoid service robotics, a French start-up with international visibility.
  • OnRobot: grippers and tooling for cobots, an open ecosystem.
  • Faulhaber: precision micromotors and miniature drives.
  • Innodura: industrial robotics solutions.

The list of exhibitors for the upcoming edition is published on the official website closer to the show: SIDO Lyon exhibitor list.

Quality of the visitor base

The official 2025 review recorded 8,510 trade visitors over the two days. For the robotics zone, the organiser publishes the following breakdown, without linking it to a specific edition: 44% decision-makers (digital transformation, innovation, CTO, R&D, robotics), 38% operational business managers (production, logistics, quality, maintenance, engineers, project managers, technicians) and 18% executive profiles (chairman/CEO, managing director, VP). By sector: 60% B2B industries (manufacturing, energy, aerospace, transport, construction, supply chain, food processing), 37% services (retail, distribution, tourism, hospitality, luxury) and 3% public services.

The convergence with SIDO and Lyon Cyber Expo additionally attracts IoT, AI and industrial cybersecurity profiles (ISA/IEC 62443, OT security), who are the natural counterparts for a connected-robotics project.

Activities & community

Conference format

The organiser lists volumes for SIDO Lyon of 300 exhibitors and partners, 70 conferences and 200 speakers, on the page announcing the 13th edition in 2027. These figures are volumes announced ahead of the event, not a review: as a benchmark, the 2025 edition was reviewed at 62 sessions and 210 speakers.

The Innorobo zone's themes extend SIDO's editorial threads on:

  1. Industrial robotics and cobotics: factory deployment, ROI, integration into existing lines.
  2. Mobile robotics and logistics: AMRs/AGVs, intralogistics, service robotics.
  3. Embedded AI and Physical AI: vision, sensor fusion, lightweight edge models, sim-to-real transfer.
  4. Critical components and integrated systems: actuators, sensors, digital twins.

Mixed formats: forward-looking plenaries, conferences, use-case workshops, industrial case studies and on-stand demos. The detailed 2027 programme is not published at the time of writing.

Convergence with SIDO, IMPACT and Lyon Cyber Expo

This is the specificity claimed since the 2025 relaunch: a single badge grants access to all of the content.

  • SIDO: convergence of IoT, AI, XR and robotics, structured by the organiser around a six-stage value chain: Measure, Analyse, Simulate, Deploy, Verify, Steer.
  • IMPACT by SIDO: responsible digital technology, eco-design, frugality, life cycle. Relevant for CSR and responsible-purchasing functions. The zone was in its 2nd edition in 2025.
  • Lyon Cyber Expo: OT and IT cybersecurity, a critical topic for any connected robotics. The show is announcing its 4th edition on 15 and 16 September 2027 at Eurexpo Lyon, on the same dates as SIDO.

The takeaway: no other French robotics trade show offers this density of industry + IoT + AI + cyber + responsible digital + robotics over 2 days.

Partners and ecosystem

The official list of SIDO partners includes recognised sector and institutional bodies: Coboteam (the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes robotics and cobotics cluster), Minalogic (the region's digital transformation competitiveness cluster), EIT Manufacturing, Systematic Paris Région, Digital League, ADIRA, CCI Lyon Métropole Saint-Étienne and ANSSI, alongside the Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, a long-standing partner, and France 2030. Specialist robotics press coverage comes from Robot Mag and Planète Robots. This foundation gives Innorobo by SIDO a strong French sector anchoring, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France's leading industrial basin for mechatronics.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • T-9 months: make contact with Infopro Digital Trade Shows, decide between the Innorobo zone (pure robotics) and the SIDO core (IoT/AI/XR), choose between a stand and sponsorship.
  • T-6 months: apply for conference and panel speaking slots. The editorial density (70 conferences announced) is a stronger visibility lever than a stand alone for early-stage players.
  • T-6 months: factor the change of venue into the logistics budget. Eurexpo Lyon is a ground-level exhibition park on the outskirts, not a city-centre congress centre: build-up, delivery and machinery handling conditions are nothing like those at the Cité Internationale, which actually works in favour of robotics exhibitors.
  • T-4 months: align your messaging with one of the structuring editorial themes (robotic systems and Physical AI, components and perception, intelligence and software, integration and services). Avoid generic "Industry 4.0" pitches.
  • T-3 months: if you have an embedded-AI or Physical AI offering, request cross-visibility placement with the AI core zone of SIDO.
  • T-6 weeks: brief the sales team, activate matchmaking, prepare live demos (robotics demos have historically been the most-viewed format in the robotics zone).

For the decision-maker visitor

  • Register online in advance: every badge request is checked on the basis of the Siret number and a K-bis extract, both beforehand and on entry. Have your supporting documents ready.
  • Plan your journey ahead: Eurexpo is around thirty minutes from Lyon's TGV stations, by tram T5 or bus C200. This is no longer the "15 minutes' walk from the city centre" of the Cité Internationale.
  • Plan your route before arriving: the convergence of co-located zones and trade shows (Innorobo, SIDO, IMPACT, Lyon Cyber Expo) covers the entirety of a connected-factory project, but requires you to target the conferences to attend in advance.
  • For a cobotics or mobile-robotics project: prioritise the Innorobo zone and the integrators of the Coboteam cluster, a partner of the zone.
  • For an embedded-AI project: cross-reference the Innorobo zone (Physical AI) and the SIDO core (AI / Edge AI).
  • For the OT cybersecurity challenges of a fleet of connected robots: go through Lyon Cyber Expo, co-located on the same dates.
  • 2 days is short: schedule your meetings via the matchmaking platform in advance.

CSR policy & initiatives

The co-located IMPACT by SIDO is the village's responsible-digital strand: a zone dedicated to responsible-digital players, covering circular models, eco-design, local sourcing, repairability, frugality and materials choices, as well as solutions addressing energy performance, resource optimisation and carbon-footprint measurement.

Beyond the zone, Infopro Digital Trade Shows publishes a CSR approach it has run across its trade shows since 2020: carpet-free aisles and common areas (4,000 m² at SIDO, equivalent to around 48 tonnes of CO2 avoided by the organiser's own estimate), 100% LED stand lighting, shared furniture and stands with a target of at least 10 rotations, three-stream waste sorting in the aisles, food-waste composting with the social enterprise AIDEN, recovery of PVC tarpaulins and pallets, and free Mobicoop carpooling for visitors and exhibitors.

Note: this CSR page still described the scheme as it operated at the Centre de Congrès de Lyon, with its local partnerships. The move to Eurexpo in 2027 may change part of it, though the organiser had not documented this at the time of writing.

Trajectory analysis

Innorobo was created in 2011 in Lyon, on the initiative of Bruno Bonnell, then chairman of the Syrobo union, and established itself as the European benchmark for service robotics: 10,000 visitors from its very first edition, 17,000 in 2014. From 2012, its organisation was taken over by Catherine Simon, who founded the company Innoecho and ran the show. The trajectory shifted in 2016 when Innorobo left Lyon for Paris, in a bid for international positioning. The 2018 edition was cancelled, facing direct competition from Viva Technology on consumer innovation and from Automatica on industrial robotics. A 6-year hiatus followed (2019-2024). Infopro Digital acquired Innorobo's assets in 2018 and worked with Catherine Simon to preserve the brand's legacy.

The 2025 relaunch is strategic: rather than a return as a standalone trade show, Innorobo became a dedicated robotics zone within SIDO Lyon, an event created in 2015 and run by Infopro Digital Trade Shows. The rationale is convergence: pure robotics is no longer a market separate from IoT, embedded AI and OT cybersecurity. Close to 40 robotics players in Hall Ouest from the very first year of the relaunch, in a trade show reviewed at 381 exhibitors and 8,510 trade visitors, validate the bet.

2027 marks a change in physical scale. The move from the Cité Internationale, a city-centre congress venue, to Eurexpo Lyon, France's leading exhibition park after Paris with 150,000 m² and 7 ground-level halls, lifts the space and handling constraints that weighed on a robotics zone. This is a material growth condition for Innorobo, at the cost of less immediate accessibility for visitors travelling by train. The takeaway: Infopro Digital holds a defensible position against Global Industrie, a generalist industry show, by playing the technological-convergence card and its Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes anchoring, France's leading mechatronics basin.
