Key points
- The Journées Francophones de Kinésithérapie (JFK) are the congress of the Société Française de Physiothérapie (SFP), the learned society of French physiotherapists. It is a scientific congress: lectures, workshops, papers and symposiums, with an exhibition open to industry suppliers and rehabilitation service providers.
- Next edition: the 11th, from Wednesday 19 to Saturday 22 May 2027, at Lille Grand Palais. Reception opens on Wednesday evening, then the published hours cover Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning.
- Organiser: the SFP, a non-profit association governed by the French 1901 law, with fourteen partner associations and five special interest groups. Professional organisation is entrusted to the agency Quinze Mai, which handles commercial contact with industry partners.
- Frequency: every two years, in odd-numbered years. The 2027 edition marks the 20th anniversary of the JFK.
- Size: the organiser reports more than 2,000 participants at the 2019 edition in Montpellier and the 2023 edition in Rennes. No dated exhibitor count is available for 2027.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The JFK is not an equipment trade show: it is the major scientific gathering of French-speaking physiotherapy, and the exhibition is grafted onto it. The organiser states that “various partnership options are offered to industry”, tailored to each proposal, with no public brochure at this stage. The congress brings together students, clinicians, teachers and researchers from the fields of rehabilitation and readaptation, making it an audience of prescribers and direct users.
The congress covers a broad range of specialities, driven by the partner associations: sports, respiratory, paediatric, pelvic-perineal, vestibular, hand, shoulder, oro-maxillofacial and intensive care physiotherapy, manual therapy, prevention and gerontology. For an exhibitor, it is a chance to reach practitioners from all these fields in a single venue. The 2019 edition website listed more than thirty partners, including professional institutions, publishers and manufacturers of rehabilitation equipment.
Notable exhibitors
The list of 2027 partners and exhibitors has not yet been published. For historical reference, the 2019 edition website in Montpellier listed among its partners the Ordre des Masseurs-Kinésithérapeutes, the Syndicat National des Masseurs Kinésithérapeutes, the Institut national de la Kinésithérapie, Elsevier/Masson, Philips, Air Liquide Health Care, Urgo Tech, Zimmer Electromedizin, Indiba, KINVENT, Satel and Sissel. These names apply to 2019, not to 2027.
The website home page displays a counter of 37 exhibitors, without specifying which edition it refers to. To exhibit in 2027, the entry point is the Devenez partenaire (Become a partner) page.
Visitor quality
The organiser describes the JFK as the SFP's flagship event, bringing together French-speaking rehabilitation and readaptation professionals. According to the congress website, the 2019 (Montpellier) and 2023 (Rennes) editions each drew more than 2,000 participants. These figures are reported by the organiser, with no published third-party audit.
The website counter also highlights more than 400 speakers and more than 185 sessions, again without a reference edition. The French-speaking character is genuine: the 2027 steering committee includes practitioners working in France, Belgium and Quebec.
Activities & community
Conference programme
The theme of the 2027 edition is “Construire la kinésithérapie de demain : soigner dans un monde qui change” (Building the physiotherapy of tomorrow: providing care in a changing world). The steering committee announces a programme designed for the 20th anniversary, organised in thematic strands by field of discipline, which each participant can follow or leave to build their own path. The stated aim is to update scientific recommendations in the areas explored.
The call for papers, closed on 30 September 2026, covered oral presentations, posters, workshops, symposiums and teaching innovations. Selection results are due on 30 October 2026. The “Ma Réhab en 180 secondes” (My rehab in 180 seconds) event is returning, as at recent editions.
Training and highlights
The organiser plans training courses before and after the congress, managed by a dedicated project officer within the steering committee, as well as an anniversary evening. Their content and prices have not yet been published.
Community & networks
The congress is backed by the SFP, founded in 1936, and by fourteen partner associations, including the Association Francophone McKenzie, the Société Française des Masseurs-kinésithérapeutes du Sport, the Association Kinésithérapie Respiratoire, the Association Française de Kinésithérapie Pédiatrique and the Société de Kinésithérapie de Réanimation. Five SFP special interest groups take part: pain, neurology, philosophy and physiotherapy, rehabilitation and amputation, and public health.
For an equipment manufacturer, the JFK differ from the Rééduca trade show, held in Paris at Porte de Versailles: one is a biennial, travelling scientific congress, the other a Parisian trade show for professionals.
On site: what to know
The congress takes place at Lille Grand Palais, 1 boulevard des Cités Unies, in Lille. The congress entrance is through the main entrance of the congress centre, on boulevard Émile Dubuisson. Bag checks are planned at every entry and exit.
Provisional reception hours: Wednesday 19 May from 6pm to 9pm, Thursday 20 and Friday 21 May from 7:30am to 7:30pm, Saturday 22 May from 7:45am to 1:30pm.
Lille Grand Palais is about a five-minute walk from Lille Flandres and Lille Europe stations, served by TGV high-speed trains from Paris and major French cities, and by Eurostar from London and Brussels to Lille Europe. By metro, the Mairie de Lille and Lille Grand Palais stations (line 2) are 400 metres away. Bus 18 stops at Grand Palais, and three V'Lille bike-share stations are nearby. The venue offers a dedicated reception for people with reduced mobility or disabilities, by prior booking.
How much does it cost to exhibit
| Poste de dépense | Fourchette basse | Fourchette haute |
|---|---|---|
| Stand space in the exhibition area, depending on size and location (on quote) | €2,000 | €12,000 |
| Fit-out, furniture, electricity and signage for the stand | €1,000 | €8,000 |
| Team travel and accommodation in Lille (3 to 4 days) | €1,200 | €5,000 |
| Symposium or workshop included in the programme (on quote, optional) | €3,000 | €15,000 |
| INDICATIVE TOTAL, stand only (2 to 4 people) | ~€4,200 | ~€25,000 |
| INDICATIVE TOTAL, stand and symposium | ~€7,200 | ~€40,000 |
At a learned society congress, visibility is won in the programme as much as on the stand. The JFK call for papers includes a symposium format; for an industry supplier, speaking opportunities should be discussed early with the organiser. Prices to be requested from Quinze Mai.
Planning your visit
For the exhibitor
- Get in touch via the Devenez partenaire (Become a partner) page: offers are built case by case, with no public price list.
- Plan ahead: the congress is held only every two years, and the 2027 edition is an anniversary edition.
- Target one or more fields: the thematic strands by field of discipline show which specialities will be present, and therefore which practitioners will attend.
- Prepare materials in French: the congress is French-speaking.
For the decision-making visitor
- Watch for the opening of registration: early bird rates are announced from 15 November 2026.
- If an abstract is accepted, the designated speaker (a single named person, two for a symposium) receives free registration for one day or a 25% discount on the three days, excluding pre-congress training and the anniversary evening; travel and accommodation remain at their own expense.
- Book accommodation in Lille early, and favour the train: both stations are a few minutes' walk from the venue.
CSR policy & initiatives
The congress website has no CSR page specific to the JFK, and no ISO 20121 certification of the event itself is displayed.
The documented commitment sits at the level of the organising agency. On its Nos engagements page, Quinze Mai states that it is ISO 20121 certified and lists actions applied to its events: waste sorting at the exhibition, recovery and recycling of waste including carpet, reduced aisle carpeting and a shift from printing to digital, badge holders in recycled plastic, services entrusted to ESAT sheltered workshops, and encouragement of public transport. The agency also gives recommendations to exhibitors: eco-designed, reusable stands, LED lighting, no flyers, and limited giveaways.
As for the venue, Lille Grand Palais reports a management system certified to ISO 20121 and ISO 9001, a CSR approach called “We Comeet” and the publication of a CSR report. The Métropole Européenne de Lille has held the Destination Innovante Durable label since January 2024, according to the venue's website.

Trajectory analysis
The JFK celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2027; the oldest edition archived by the SFP is the 2007 one. The rhythm is biennial, in odd-numbered years, and the congress changes city from one physical edition to the next: Montpellier in 2019, Rennes at the Couvent des Jacobins in 2023, Montpellier at the Corum in 2025, Lille in 2027. The 2021 edition was held entirely online because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The network of partner associations has grown from twelve in 2023 to thirteen in 2025 and then fourteen in 2027, and the congress runs from Wednesday to Saturday in 2025 (2-5 April) as in 2027 (19-22 May). Reported attendance holds above 2,000 participants over the last two editions with figures, 2019 and 2023. For an exhibitor, the rarity of the event (once every two years) and the diversity of the specialities represented make it a concentrated point of contact with the profession.
