Key takeaways
- The Journées Cicatrisations is the annual national congress of the Société Française et Francophone des Plaies et Cicatrisations (SFFPC), the French-language wound and healing society. Its president, Luc Téot, presents it as the national congress attended by the largest number of decision-making medical and paramedical professionals in the field. It is a scientific congress backed by an industry exhibition.
- Next edition: from Sunday 17 to Tuesday 19 January 2027 at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, Porte Maillot. Reception is on level 3, Paris side; the exhibition area is on level 3.
- Organiser: the SFFPC, an association. Logistics, registration and the sale of the exhibition are entrusted to the appointed agency MCI group France.
- Annual frequency, in mid-January in Paris: the 2026 edition was held from 18 to 20 January 2026.
- For an exhibitor, the appeal lies in the audience: nurses, doctors and surgeons who manage wounds, and who prescribe and use dressings, medical devices and care solutions. The SFFPC president describes the congress as the moment when laboratories launch their new medical devices.
- Size benchmark: the 2026 results published by the organiser report more than 1,800 participants, 184 speakers and 38 exhibitors. For 2027, the exhibition area covers 366 m², and the organiser announces more than 40 partners present.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The organiser describes the exhibition area as a meeting place between medical industry companies and healthcare professionals. The profile can be read in the list of partners published on the 2027 exhibition plan: manufacturers of dressings and wound-treatment devices, dermocosmetics laboratories, compression and support specialists, medical gases, digital wound-assessment solutions, regenerative medicine.
The format gives industry several speaking opportunities, described on the sessions page: workshops, always sponsored by a laboratory; symposia, often sponsored; and pitches, short presentations given by partners on the agora set up inside the exhibition area. Lounge areas complete the exhibition.
Notable exhibitors
The 2027 exhibition plan already lists the registered partners, including Arthrex, Air Liquide Santé France, Becton Dickinson, Beiersdorf, Coloplast, Convatec, L'Oréal Beauté Dermatologique, Laboratoires Urgo, Laboratoires Uriage, Laboratoire SVR, Lohmann & Rauscher, Mölnlycke, Paul Hartmann, Smith+Nephew, Solventum, Thuasne, RegenLab and Pixacare, alongside other registered companies. The list is still being built and may change before January.
To exhibit, the page Comment devenir partenaire (How to become a partner) lets you request the commercial brochure for the 2027 edition, which details the participation packages.
Visitor quality
The audience is made up of wound-care professionals: surgeons, nurses and doctors, including military doctors and surgeons, pharmacists, advanced practice nurses, as well as engineers developing diagnostic-support applications. The scientific committee brings together geriatricians, dermatologists, plastic and vascular surgeons, diabetologists, pharmacists, podiatrists and nurses from across France.
The regulatory context strengthens the appeal for industry. The president's message ties the 2027 edition to the broadening of nurses' responsibilities, which requires knowledge to be brought up to date, and the congress is organised around an anonymous multiple-choice assessment. The SFFPC is Qualiopi-certified, which allows registration under a training agreement.
Access to the exhibition is included in the congress registration. 2027 fees, including VAT: €330 for an SFFPC member and €380 for a non-member until 6 November 2026, then €380 and €475, and €500 on site; €50 for residents and nursing students with proof. Lunches are not included.
Activities & community
Conference programme
The programme combines several formats: plenaries led by national and sometimes international experts, training modules requiring prior registration, generally led by a doctor and nurse pair, oral communications selected by the scientific committee, special sessions, and industry workshops and symposia. The 2027 edition offers 49 modules. Registered participants have access to replays of all sessions for six months, but the event takes place in person only.
The 2027 call for papers covers the whole field: burns, scars, pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot wounds, tumour wounds, acute wounds, dressings and medical devices, surgery, therapeutic education, care pathways, e-health, innovation and artificial intelligence. Three prizes reward the best communications, including the Prix Sylvie Palmier for the best nursing oral communication. A nurses' competition, closed for 2027, gives winners their congress registration.
Community & networks
The organising committee is chaired by Luc Téot, a surgeon in Montpellier and president of the SFFPC, with Sylvie Meaume as vice-president. The SFFPC also runs a network of referenced expert centres and university diplomas in wounds and healing.
The congress is present on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X under the name Journées Cicatrisations.
For medical device companies, one calendar point matters: at the time of writing, the General information page states that the Journées Cicatrisations 2027 are awaiting their status from MedTech Europe. Invitations of healthcare professionals by member companies go through this scheme, on a blind-funding principle.
Nurses will find another Paris event at the Salon Infirmier.
On site: what to know
The congress is held at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, 2 place de la Porte Maillot, Paris 17th. Session rooms and the exhibition occupy levels 2 and 3, served by lifts; the venue is wheelchair accessible.
Getting there: metro line 1, Porte Maillot station, exit 3; RER C, Neuilly - Porte Maillot station; buses 43, 73, 82, 244 and PC. By car, take the Porte Maillot exit from the inner ring road or Porte des Ternes from the outer one, with an underground car park of nearly 1,500 spaces connected to the Palais. From Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, allow about 30 minutes by taxi, and 45 from Orly. An Air France - KLM discount code is offered to participants, valid from 10 to 26 January 2027.
Exhibition opening hours: Sunday 17 January 2027 from 12:30 to 19:30, Monday 18 January from 07:30 to 19:30, Tuesday 19 January from 07:30 to 17:30. Badges are collected from self-service kiosks with the e-confirmation and its QR code; wearing the badge is compulsory. A paid catering area is set up in the exhibition, Neuilly side on level 3.
For accommodation, Revolugo is the official partner agency for individual bookings, and the congress secretariat handles group bookings from 10 people.

| INDICATIVE TOTAL, stand and speaking slot (3 days) | ~€8,000 | ~€48,000 |
With 366 m² of exhibition space for more than 40 announced partners, the areas remain small: visibility depends as much on speaking, whether a workshop or a symposium, as on the stand. Ask MCI group France for the rates.
Planning your visit
For the exhibitor
- Request the commercial brochure early: exhibition space is limited and 26 companies are already named on the 2027 exhibition plan, for more than 40 partners announced.
- Check the congress's MedTech Europe status before planning invitations of healthcare professionals.
- Aim for a workshop, symposium or pitch on the agora: at a training congress, a supervised demonstration carries more weight than a passive presence on a stand.
- Prepare hands-on demonstrations of how to apply and use the devices: the audience comes to learn how to use them.
- Plan to have your team present from Sunday noon, when the exhibition opens.
For the decision-maker visiting
- Register before 6 November 2026 to benefit from the early rate.
- Pre-register for modules when you register online: places are limited and pre-registration is compulsory.
- Have a training agreement drawn up if your institution funds your attendance, as the SFFPC is Qualiopi-certified.
- Plan for lunch on site, which is paid, or on level -1 of the Palais.
CSR policy & initiatives
The congress website publishes a dedicated CSR page for the 2027 edition. It rests first on the appointed agency: MCI group France has held ISO 20121 certification since 2022 and applies a responsible purchasing policy when selecting its suppliers.
The congress's own actions are concrete but modest: the final programme is published online and not printed, partners are surveyed in advance to adjust the volume of posters and flyers, and tote bags have been dropped since 2026. The chosen printer is PEFC and FSC certified and holds the Imprim'vert label. The organiser announces new actions for 2027, without detailing them at this stage.
The venue provides its own framework: Viparis, operator of the Palais des Congrès, was the first events company to be ISO 20121 certified, in 2014, and runs the Better Events - Viparis 2030 strategy, with a target of cutting its carbon footprint by 50% by 2030 compared with 2016. No carbon assessment specific to the congress is published.

Trajectory analysis
The congress follows a fixed slot: mid-January, in Paris, over three days. For the SFFPC, the stakes in 2027 are mainly regulatory. The president's message announces "the year of profound changes" for the field, linked to the law broadening nurses' responsibilities, and the congress is structured accordingly around training modules and a knowledge assessment.
For an industry player, this shift is an argument: the president notes that the number of nurses is rising again in hospital wards and that their involvement in the field remains strong. The flip side is the modest size of the exhibition, which pushes partners towards speaking formats rather than floor space.
The dates for the 2028 edition had not been announced at the time of writing.
