Key takeaways

  • JTSE (Journées Techniques du Spectacle et de l'Événement) is the French professional trade show for stage technology: machinery, lighting, audio, video, grandstands and seating, safety, training and design offices. Its audience is the technical directors of theatres, opera houses and event venues, set designers and technical service providers.
  • 2026 edition: the 30th, on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 November 2026, at the Docks de Paris, in Aubervilliers, near Porte d'Aubervilliers. The organiser presents it as an anniversary edition.
  • Organiser: Éditions AS, publisher of the magazine AS, "Actualité de la Scénographie", and of technical books on live performance. Annual, held in November.
  • 2025 wrap-up (29th edition, 26 and 27 November 2025): 7,750 visitors, up 6% on 2024, and more than 180 exhibitors.
  • Free admission, with online or on-site accreditation required. The trade show is spread across several Docks halls: the main exhibition occupies the 3,200 m² of the Dock Pullman.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

According to the organiser, the trade show welcomes national and international manufacturers of machinery, lighting, audio, stage equipment, fabrics, grandstands, seating and tiered seating, safety and training, as well as design and integration offices and distributors of the world's major brands. In 2025, the organiser noted a predominance of audio, lighting, audiovisual and machinery exhibitors.

The filter on the official list gives an idea of the breadth of the offer: lifting, cabling, networks, tracking, video projection, audiovisual leasing, but also training, trade unions and service providers.

Notable exhibitors

The exhibitor list for the 2026 edition is online, with several dozen companies, and may still change before the trade show. On the sound side, it includes L-Acoustics, d&b audiotechnik, Nexo, Coda Audio France, Yamaha Music Europe, Sennheiser, Shure France, DPA Microphones, Lawo and Riedel Communications France. On the lighting side: Robe Lighting, Ayrton, Robert Juliat, ETC France, Clay Paky, Chauvet Professional and Avolites. On the image side: Christie Digital Systems, Panasonic, Epson and ROE Visual. Machinery and venue equipment are represented by Waagner Biro Stage Systems, AMG Fechoz, Verlinde, Liftket France, Hugon Tribunes and Husson International. Training is covered by the CFPTS, the INA and several specialist bodies.

In 2025, the organiser's wrap-up detailed the brands present in the demonstration areas: in the lighting black boxes, among others Ayrton, Robe Lighting France, ClayPaky, Robert Juliat, ETC France and Chauvet Professional; in the screens and video area, Christie, Panasonic, Epson, Samsung, Leyard and Roe Visual; in the studio monitoring area, Genelec, Dynaudio and PMC.

Visitor quality

The organiser describes an audience made up largely of the sector's main decision-makers. Its Exhibit page lists among the organisations that have come to JTSE equipment set designers and design offices, stage companies, the technical directors of national theatres such as the Comédie-Française, the Théâtre national de Chaillot or the Théâtre national de la Colline, opera houses, including the Opéra national de Paris and the Opéra national de Lyon, major technical service providers, television channels, leisure parks such as Parc Astérix and Puy du Fou, festivals, including Avignon and Aix-en-Provence, and schools training technical professions.

Most visitors come from France, at 92%, with 610 foreign visitors in 2024. According to the breakdown published by the organiser, French visitors come mainly from Île-de-France, and foreign visitors first from Belgium, then from Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

No OJS certification or third-party audit of attendance is published: the figures are those provided by the organiser after each edition.

Activities & community

The demonstration areas

The trade show is not limited to stands. In 2025, four areas structured the visit: the Dock Pullman for the exhibition, the conferences and the bookshop; the Dock Eiffel and its 18 lighting black boxes, where manufacturers let visitors test their projectors in real conditions, with 3,316 visitors over two days; the Dock Haussmann, devoted to audio, with console workshops, immersive listening areas and studio monitoring, which received 3,886 visitors; and finally the Dock Éphémère, a 700 m² marquee that housed the Full Screen Experience, devoted to LED walls, video projection and video mapping, with 2,379 visitors. The InnovLab, opened in 2025 on the second floor of the Dock Pullman, hosted nine companies presenting their innovations.

For 2026, the trade show's online presentation page describes the same areas: a lighting dock with 17 black boxes of 50 m², the JTSE Studio & Immersive Experience for audio, the Full Screen Experience and the InnovLab. On the first floor of the Dock Pullman, eight meeting rooms of 30 to 90 m² are available to rent for companies that want them.

Conference programme

The 2026 programme has not yet been published. In 2025, the organiser's wrap-up reports 18 conferences and round tables at the Learning Center, attended by 1,242 visitors, around three themes: technology, professional life and eco-responsibility. Topics ranged from the LED transition and lighting protocols to the workload of technical directors, recruitment in a sector in crisis, surtitling and artificial intelligence in live performance. On the audio side, two conferences covered the mixing of the music for the film Kaamelott and the immersive sound design of the French Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo, produced with IRCAM. AGI-SON ran a programme there for the fourth year running as part of the Mois de la Gestion Sonore.

In 2025, the conferences were streamed live in audio to smartphones, then filmed to be put online as replays on the Conferences page of the website.

JTSE Awards

The JTSE Awards competition, sponsored by Synpase, rewards innovation in the sector every year. For its 5th edition in 2026, it has the categories technical production, service and training, lighting product, audio, video, stage, network solution, and two new categories: shows, events, exhibitions, and AI and new technologies. The jury also presents the "Prix spécial du jury CNM mention écoresponsabilité", in partnership with the Centre national de la musique, and, new for 2026, a "Prix coup de cœur du jury". The public votes online for the Prix du Public from 26 October to 25 November at 1 pm. The ceremony is announced for Wednesday 25 November 2026 at 5 pm at the Learning Center, on the first floor of the Dock Pullman.

The 2025 edition received 103 entries, a record according to the organiser.

Community & networks

In 2025, for the third year running, the trade show hosted a jobs forum for technical roles in live performance and events, organised with France Travail and Synpase, with the participation of Parc Astérix and Disneyland Paris among others. Its return in 2026 has not yet been announced. The Librairie AS, presented as the only French-language bookshop devoted to performance technology, architecture and set design, sets up in the centre of the Dock Pullman with book-signing sessions.

The website lists as partners, on an undated page, among others the CNM, Synpase, Enedis, MultiCAM Systems and ODIHO (the last two having captured and broadcast the conferences in 2025), as well as specialist trade press titles, including Sonomag, and foreign magazines, including BTR in Germany and Lighting & Sound in the United Kingdom.

The organiser presents JTSE as the leading professional trade show for live performance in France. According to the organiser, the trade show was created in 1998; it was first itinerant, moving between Nantes, Lyon, Brussels and Paris, before settling at the Docks de Paris in 2006.

For a technical supplier, two other Paris events in November complete the calendar: SATIS, the trade show for the audiovisual industry and the image and sound professions, at the same Docks de Paris on 4 and 5 November 2026, and Heavent Paris, the events industry trade show, from 17 to 19 November 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

On site: what you need to know

The trade show takes place at the Docks de Paris, 87 avenue des Magasins Généraux, in Aubervilliers, on the site of the Entrepôts et Magasins Généraux de Paris. The Dock Haussmann serves as the welcome point: cloakrooms and badges are centralised there, with a free left-luggage service at the entrance.

Opening hours: Wednesday 25 November from 9:30 am to 8 pm, Thursday 26 November from 9:30 am to 6 pm. Admission is free, with accreditation required, to be requested online or at the reception desk. The organiser offers two forms, one for professionals and one for private individuals.

By metro, line 12 goes to its terminus, Front Populaire, exit 1, 6 minutes' walk from the Docks. From the RER B (La Plaine Stade de France) or the RER D (Stade de France Saint-Denis), electric Icade shuttle buses provide the connection. Several Vélib' stations are located in the park. By car, the entrance is at 45 avenue Victor Hugo in Aubervilliers; the paid car park of the Le Millénaire shopping centre, 10 minutes' walk away, is linked to the trade show by a shuttle from 10 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm. For visitors travelling a long way, the organiser relays a discount on Air France and KLM flights.

How much does it cost to exhibit

The organiser does not publish a stand price list: the website refers to the commercial contact at Éditions AS, and additional services (furniture, electrical connection, sound, lighting and video, badge readers) are ordered from the exhibitor area, which is reserved for registered companies.

Two items are nonetheless publicly documented. Entering the JTSE Awards is free for exhibitors, and costs €300 for external companies, regardless of the number of entries; it is free for everyone in the technical production and shows, events, exhibitions categories. The first-floor meeting rooms of the Dock Pullman can be rented as an extra, with no published price.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Aim for the demonstration areas if the product is best judged in use: the lighting black boxes, the audio workshops and the Full Screen Experience each attracted more than 2,000 visitors in 2025.
  • JTSE Awards: free entry for an exhibitor, with entries submitted from 17 July to 16 October 2026 at 11:59 pm, followed by a public online vote until 25 November at 1 pm.
  • Plan a meeting room upstairs for appointments that need some quiet, rather than handling everything on the stand.

For the decision-making visitor

  • Get accredited online before you come to avoid queuing at the reception of the Dock Haussmann.
  • On Wednesday, the trade show stays open until 8 pm: handy for arriving at the end of the day.
  • Check the conferences in advance: the 2025 programme remains available on the Conferences page, useful for targeting speakers and topics.

CSR policy & initiatives

At event level, the organiser highlights, in its press release for the 2025 edition, eco-designed stands and reusable badges: pouches and lanyards are washed and disinfected under a partnership with the Ateliers de Rosny. Eco-responsibility is one of the three themes of the conference programme, and the "Prix spécial du jury CNM mention écoresponsabilité" each year recognises the product, service or production judged the most eco-responsible, on criteria of carbon footprint, materials and recyclability.

These initiatives should be distinguished from an organisational commitment: neither the trade show's website nor that of the magazine AS publishes a formal CSR policy, a carbon assessment of the event or ISO 20121 certification. As for the venue, the Docks de Paris page on the Châteauform' website highlights a caterer presented as committed, without mentioning any environmental certification.

Trajectory analysis

Attendance is rising steadily: 6,245 visitors in 2021, 6,653 in 2022, 6,924 in 2023, more than 7,300 in 2024 and 7,750 in 2025, around 24% more in four years. The number of exhibitors, more than 150 in 2021 and 145 in 2022, has been stable at more than 180 since 2023, in an exhibition hall of 3,200 m² (Dock Pullman, 2024 to 2026). In 2025, the offer widened around the main hall with the Dock Éphémère and the InnovLab.

The format remains deliberately compact, two days on a single site, with a highly specialised audience. The organiser states the aim of a trade show that is "specific, friendly and human-sized": for a manufacturer, it is a meeting point where you deal directly with the technical directors of venues, who specify or buy the equipment.

The 2027 edition has not yet been dated.
