Who exhibits

Typical profile

The official website organises its offering into universes, two of which are specific to a single session: Cook & Share in September and Signature & Projects in January. The others are shared by both sessions: Craft - Métiers d'art, Decor & Design, Fashion & Accessories, Fragrance & Wellness, Gift & Play. The In The City initiative is also linked to the January session.

The event covers the entire value chain of the home and the art of living: decoration, furniture, lighting, tableware, textiles, home fragrance, gift and jewellery. A balanced mix of French heritage houses (crystal, porcelain, art furniture), international contemporary design publishers, emerging young designers and craft artisans showcased via the Craft sector run by Ateliers d'Art de France.

Since 2026, the official website has referred to the autumn session as Maison&Objet Pulse. The specialist trade press reports that the winter session is in turn named Maison&Objet Premier, a name that does not appear on the official website pages consulted on 21 September 2026.

Iconic brands (January 2026 edition)

The 15 to 19 January 2026 edition notably featured:

  • Lalique: immersive installation "Air de Lalique" and reissue of the Tourbillons vase designed by Suzanne Lalique.
  • Baccarat: collaboration with Harry Nuriev around the reinterpreted Zénith chandelier.
  • CFOC (Compagnie Française de l'Orient et de la Chine), Alain Ellouz (alabaster lighting), Galerie Negropontes.
  • Ateliers d'Art de France: Craft hub for fine craftsmanship, an institutional showcase of exceptional savoir-faire.

The directory of exhibiting brands is published on the official website ahead of each session.

Quality of attendance

  • Results for the January 2026 edition: 67,300 visitors from 148 countries, 50% international, a 30% rise in Chinese buyers, confirmed momentum in the Italian, Belgian and Spanish markets, a decline in American and Japanese attendance.
  • Figures displayed by the organiser on its exhibitor page, without being linked to a specific edition: 92% of visitors say they are looking for new suppliers, two-thirds retailers to one-third influencers, 86% place an order after the fair, 35% visit only Maison&Objet Paris.
  • Year-round community, as presented by the organiser: 6,000 brands and designers, nearly 300,000 international buyers, 1,500 journalists.
  • Decision-maker profiles: purchasing departments of department stores and concept stores, premium independent retailers, hoteliers and restaurateurs (contract purchasing), interior architects, decoration and design press influencers, international agents and distributors. Strictly professional attendance, named badge, proof of activity required.
  • Results for the September 2025 edition (4 to 8 September 2025): 51,500 unique visitors including 10,400 newcomers, 2,125 exhibitors (626 new) from 58 countries, 138 countries on the visitor side, €111m in economic spin-offs.

Events and community

The programme for the January 2027 session has not been published: at the time of writing, the official website's "Le programme" page still shows the September 2026 edition. The formats described below are those of past sessions, dated accordingly.

Designer of the Year and curatorial theme

The most closely followed distinction on the design press side, the Designer of the Year 2026 went to Harry Nuriev, founder of Crosby Studios (New York), announced in an official press release on 2 October 2025 for the 15 to 19 January 2026 edition. "Transformism" manifesto. The curatorial theme for that same edition, "Past Reveals Future", was developed across 4 manifestos structuring the scenography and product selections: Metamorphosis, Mutation, Revisited Baroque, Neo-Folklore.

The September 2026 session had its own theme, "Pulse in Motion", embodied across seven immersive sectors, with the Masquespacio studio (Ana Milena Hernandez and Christophe Penasse) as ambassador and poster designer. No Designer of the Year 2027 or January 2027 theme appeared on the official website at the time of writing.

The Talks

Conferences, talks and cross-perspectives bringing together designers, publishers, journalists and international experts. A recurring format across both sessions, with recordings available in the official website's replay section. The January 2026 programme comprised 25 conferences over 5 days, focused on the influences of French design in the United States, AI applied to culture and creation, the evolution of premium retail and new forms of residential hospitality.

Village Manufactures d'Excellence and Pet Square

  • Village Manufactures d'Excellence: created for the January 2026 edition at the heart of the Signature & Projects sector, it brought together around twenty Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant (glassmakers, cabinetmakers, weavers, upholsterers, plasterers, ironworkers, marble workers, furniture and lighting publishers).
  • Pet Square: also launched in January 2026, this space dedicated to the premium pet world returned in September 2026 within the Gift & Play sector.

Institutional partners and ecosystem

  • Ateliers d'Art de France: co-shareholder of SAFI, leads the Craft hub.
  • RX France: co-shareholder of SAFI, operational and international contribution.
  • MOM (Maison&Objet and More): year-round 365-day B2B digital platform that extends the physical trade fair, more than 5,000 listed brands, 30,000 products. In September 2026, MOM celebrated its tenth anniversary with a MOM Village installed in Hall 6.
  • Paris Design Week: Parisian off-festival held alongside the September session only (10 to 19 September 2026). It does not accompany the January session.
  • Maison&Objet In The City: a B2B trail reserved for professionals, linking around a hundred Parisian decoration addresses, announced for 13 to 18 January 2027. An event distinct from the Villepinte trade fair, with its own dates.

How much it costs to exhibit

Exhibitor rates are not published publicly. Quotes on request from SAFI via the application form on the Exposer page, which distinguishes between a first-time application entry point, a dedicated entry for craft artisans, and direct access to customer service for returning exhibitors. The organising legal entity is SAFI SALONS, a SARL registered at 8 rue Chaptal, 75009 Paris.

Several packages traditionally coexist: bare stand (floor space rental only), turnkey equipped stand, packages for young brands and emerging designers, notably via the Craft hub of Ateliers d'Art de France. Placement by universe determines the rate per m². The official website's exhibitor FAQ covers instalment payment, financial support, group stands and premium zones, without publishing figures.

Figures not publicly available to date.

  • 9 months out: submit an application for the curatorial selections (Rising Talent Awards, Craft, young designers).
  • 6 months out: finalise the stand according to the chosen package, brief the contractor, plan MOM communications (digital platform listing).
  • 3 months out: team accreditations, press content, scheduling of meetings with international influencers.
  • 6 weeks out: activate the partner network, specialist decoration and design press, plan of pre-scheduled visits with priority buyers.

For the decision-maker visitor

  • Online pre-registration via the "Obtenir un badge" entry point on the official website, ahead of opening.
  • 5-day trade fair: allow at least 2 to 3 days to cover the full range of universes.
  • Identify in advance the highlights and curatorial selections published by the organiser for the relevant session, as the programme changes from one session to the next.
  • Digital complement: the MOM platform extends the trade fair 365 days a year for sourcing between editions.

Policy and CSR initiatives

Maison&Objet applies an "eco-green" charter built around three pillars: sustainable sourcing, "less is more" (producing better with less by reducing, reusing and recycling), and respect for people and the environment. On this basis, a jury of five independent experts awards the Sustainable label to the most committed brands.

For its Sustainable initiative, the official website features a single Sustainable trail, around 150 brands certified 100% eco-responsible, 96% of signage printed on eco-responsible materials, 7 partners working on eco-design, and 42 tonnes of materials recovered for upcycling. Guided tours of the trail, led by the founder of the sustainable interior design school, were offered by registration during the September 2026 session.

The operational partners listed by the organiser are Carbon Saver (eco-design of fit-out projects), Eco Impact (impact analysis of furnishing products), EDID (sustainable interior design school), Les Canaux (association backed by the City of Paris, focused on the local, social, solidarity-based and circular economy), Emmaüs Défi (integration and solidarity activities), Fab City Grand Paris (network of circular-economy and urban-resilience players) and Re'up (circular economy applied to events).

This CSR line is consistent with the positioning of the Craft hub and the Ateliers d'Art de France anchorage, which embrace a heritage-focused, low-carbon approach to fine craftsmanship.

Trajectory analysis

Maison&Objet was born in 1995 from the merger of six Parisian trade fairs (Paas, Moving, Tex'styles, Mic, Scènes d'Intérieur, Parallèles), with a first edition of 1,250 exhibitors and 38,000 visitors, run by Blenheim (the future Reed Expositions) and the Ateliers d'Art de France via SAFI. More than thirty years later, the trade fair shows roughly three times as many exhibitors and nearly double the audience at its winter session, with 67,300 visitors in January 2026. The dual governance of Ateliers d'Art de France + RX France remains structuring: it combines a fine-craftsmanship hub with strong French legitimacy and the international reach of a global trade fair operator.

The recent sequence has been one of renewal. The appointment of Vincent Lhoste as chief executive officer of SAFI in January 2026 was followed, in September 2026, by the launch of a new brand identity and the name Maison&Objet Pulse for the autumn session, positioned around emerging and experimental design, while the specialist trade press links the name Maison&Objet Premier to the January session, with a prestige positioning built on excellence and savoir-faire. The two-session complementary framework has established itself as the reference for the decoration-design sector, backed by a MOM digital platform that covers 365 days of B2B activity and celebrated its tenth anniversary in September 2026.

The January 2026 edition set the tone for this refocus on excellence and savoir-faire, with the "Past Reveals Future" theme, the choice of Harry Nuriev as Designer of the Year, and the creation of the Village Manufactures d'Excellence. The next milestone is the session from 14 to 18 January 2027, whose theme and programme had not been published at the time of writing.
