Who exhibits

Typical profile

Playtime Paris brings together brands in children's fashion (from birth to adolescence), nursery goods and family lifestyle, across every price tier. The offer covers ready-to-wear, footwear, baby accessories, as well as a lifestyle component (gifts, decoration, products for the maternity and children's world). The selection is curated, with a high proportion of European brands: France (20.3%), Spain (13.2%), Denmark (9.4%) and the Netherlands (8.7%) were among the most represented countries at the January 2026 edition.

The official report for the summer 2026 edition breaks the offer down as 65% fashion and accessories, 20% footwear, 10% lifestyle and 5% swimwear, with a majority of French and Spanish brands, followed by Denmark and Portugal, and a rise of Australian, Brazilian and American labels in the top 10 countries.

Notable exhibitors

The official list of brands by edition is available on the Playtime Paris exhibitors page. Until the January 2027 selection is published, the trade show's homepage links to the summer 2026 exhibitor list. For that session, the organiser counted 74% returning exhibitors and 26% new brands (22% new brands at the January 2026 edition).

Quality of attendance

Attendance is made up of buyers from multi-brand boutiques, concept stores, department stores and international distributors. The official report for the summer 2026 edition puts attendance at 3,527 visitors from 71 countries, including 13% first-time visitors, with a split of 23% France and 77% international, made up of Europe 76.9%, Asia 10.7%, the Americas 7.8%, the Middle East 3.9%, Africa 0.4% and Oceania 0.3% (organiser figures, not OJS or UFI audited).

Department stores attending this edition included Harrods, Le Bon Marché, Isetan Mitsukoshi, El Corte Inglés, Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, De Bijenkorf, Stockmann, Shinsegae and Harvey Nichols & Bloomingdale's for the Middle East. The trade show is positioned by its organiser as the world benchmark for the children's market.

Activities & community

Conference programme

Each session features trend spaces, expert conferences and themed activities.

Looking back at the summer 2026 edition, held under the "Playtime Fest" theme: two fashion trend spaces designed by Amélie Lengrand and styled by Marie Malissen showcased the Spring/Summer 2027 trends "Lull" and "Happenstance", decoded by the Future Snoops agency, which presented them at a conference on Monday 29 June at 10.30am. The lifestyle trend space, entrusted to art director Fanny Petit, took the form of a "Mini Disco Party". One-to-one appointments were offered to brands and buyers with Future Snoops, the Kidding agency (press and content creators), Design Hunger and Studio Unika (branding), as well as an intellectual property lawyer. The Playground hosted workshops for children.

The January 2026 edition had been built around the "Made With Love" theme.

The programme for the January 2027 session has not yet been published: the official site still displays the summer 2026 one.

Selections and awards

The trade show maintains several discovery spaces whose official names are "THE NEW NOW SELECTION", "THE SINGULAR SELECTION", "FALL IN LOVE WITH FIRST TIMERS", "The Creative Studio", "ARTISTS ON DISPLAY" and "The Playground". At the summer 2026 edition, THE NEW NOW SELECTION brought together 10 ready-to-wear and footwear brands taking part for the first time, THE SINGULAR SELECTION 6 brands with single products or capsule collections in a pop-up store format, and The Creative Studio 12 illustrators and pattern designers.

The "Design Hunger Prizes", awarded by the online magazine Design Hunger, recognised five lifestyle and accessory brands at that same edition: Noonchi Organics (Best new brand), Minegen (Best conscious brand), Oda London (Best home & decor brand), Choose Kind (Best accessory brand) and Blue Ribbon (The Big Design Prize).

The line-up of these spaces changes from one session to the next: the one for January 2027 will be published on the official site as the show approaches.

Community and networks

Playtime draws on an international community of buyers and brands, kept active between sessions through its B2B platform Orderwizz, its online magazine and its social media channels. The 2027 exhibitor brochure reports more than 107,000 followers, including more than 101,000 on Instagram, and more than 40 international media partners and content creators.

The trade show has a dedicated press office, run by the Kidding agency.

Picaflor also runs a network of children's trade shows that extends the Playtime community internationally: Playtime New York, announced for 21 to 23 February 2027, and The Tiny Show on Tour LA.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Brand registration for the January 2027 session has been open since 9 September, via the official site's online application form. The application also serves as a request for validation of the brand's eligibility for the selection.
  • 4 months out: book a stand, choose a location, apply where relevant to the NEW NOW, SINGULAR or The Creative Studio spaces.
  • 2 months out: finalise merchandising, prepare collections, logistics and transport.
  • 2 weeks out: pre-register your teams, brief the sales team, and book buyer appointments.

For the decision-maker visitor

The buyer pass is available online from 20 October; entry is free and restricted to professionals. Target the selection spaces (new brands, lifestyle, Creative Studio) and the session's theme to prioritise your appointments. Ideally allow a full day given the density of the offer. The Parc Floral is reachable by metro (Château de Vincennes, line 1, exit 3) then a free shuttle or on foot.

Policy & CSR initiatives

The 2027 exhibitor brochure presents the trade show's selection as championing sustainability, creativity and inclusion, and the exhibitors page places the pursuit of style and sustainability at the heart of its proposition. The January 2026 edition had carried a "Made With Love" theme, in declared opposition to ultra fast fashion, centred on protecting and passing on textile craftsmanship, family-run businesses and committed brands.

Details of a structured, quantified CSR policy (eco-design of stands, waste management, carbon footprint, ISO 20121 certification) are not publicly documented on the organiser's site and remain to be confirmed with Picaflor.

Trajectory analysis

Founded in 2007, Playtime established itself within about fifteen years as the largest European children's fashion trade show, ahead of Pitti Bimbo, according to its director Sébastien de Hutten (FashionNetwork, 2023). The twice-yearly rhythm, a session in late January and a session in late June, aligns the Paris sessions with the buying calendars of multi-brand boutiques. After a return to pre-pandemic levels noted as early as 2023 by the organiser, the show adjusts its exhibitor scale to around 260 to 350 brands depending on the session, with a marked internationalisation (38 countries at the January 2026 edition, 33 countries in June 2026). The June 2026 report highlights a rise in buyers from Asia, the United States, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. Its editorial direction, built each season around a themed thread and curation spaces, positions Playtime on value, craftsmanship and selection rather than volume.
