Key takeaways
- Première Vision Paris, January 2027 edition: 26 to 28 January 2027 at Paris Nord Villepinte, halls 5 and 6. The trade show is devoted to Spring-Summer 28 trends and collections. Unchanged rhythm: two editions a year.
- Theme announced for this edition: Territories of Savoir-Faire, the Indian chapter of the trade show's editorial platform ("Territories of Savoir-Faire | Announcement of Chapter 2 - India") following France, Japan and Portugal, launched on 2 September 2026 in partnership with the Indian Embassy in France and India's Ministry of Textiles.
- The world's benchmark gathering for upstream fashion sourcing, organised by Première Vision SA, a subsidiary owned 100% by GL Events since 2023 following a gradual increase in its stake (24.5% in 2007, 49% in 2010, full control acquired for the trade show's fiftieth anniversary). Since 2025, Première Vision has been part of GL Events' fashion division, which brings together 18 events.
- Leadership: Florence Rousson, Chair of the Executive Board since 21 February 2024, with thirteen years' experience at GL Events Exhibitions, formerly Director of the Green Tech+ division.
- Volume displayed by the organiser: close to 1,000 exhibiting companies from 40 countries, 20,000 professionals and 130 nationalities among its key figures. The September 2026 edition brought together more than 900 exhibitors according to the official list. No detailed review of that edition has been published to date.
- Personalised e-pass free for professionals on production of proof, announced as "coming soon" for January 2027. No access fee to the trade show. Only the cloakroom is chargeable (€5 per suitcase, €4 per garment, accessory, briefcase, backpack or motorcycle helmet), and bag deposit is mandatory.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
Première Vision Paris structures its offer around 9 complementary worlds that cover the entire upstream fashion sector: Fabrics (womenswear and menswear weaving), Leather (leathers, skins, furs), Accessories (buttons, fastenings, braids, labelling), Yarns (spinning and yarns), Designs (textile and print creation studios), Manufacturing (makers and production workshops), Smart Creation (cross-cutting responsible and fashion-tech offer), Bag-Shoes & Leatherwear (leather goods and footwear components) and Maison d'Exceptions (one-off pieces and exceptional savoir-faire).
Each application is reviewed by an international panel of experts against four criteria published by the organiser: creativity and originality of collections, capacity for innovation and renewal, financial soundness and reliability, and commitment to responsible fashion.
Attendance is strictly reserved for fashion and luxury professionals: stylists, collection directors, buyers, purchasing departments, design studios, agents, distributors, makers and couture houses. A strong presence of European luxury houses, international premium brands and Asian and American sourcing offices.
Iconic brands (February 2026 edition)
The January 2027 edition follows on from previous editions. In February 2026, the trade show brought together in particular:
- ILUNA Group: a long-established Italian lace maker, present on the Blossom Première Vision side with a responsible lace and textile innovation offer.
- Filatures du Parc: an emblematic French spinning mill of Made in France, listed in the Smart Creation and Made in France selections.
- Leading Italian, Japanese and Turkish weavers across the Fabrics and Yarns hubs.
- Premium European tanneries on the Leather side, creators of one-off pieces and embroidery workshops for Maison d'Exceptions.
Quality of attendance
- Key figures displayed by the organiser: 20,000 professionals and 130 nationalities.
- Decision-maker profiles: collection directors of luxury houses and premium brands, textile and materials buyers, design studios, independent designers, makers and international agents. Strictly professional access, personalised non-transferable badge, proof of activity required on registration.
- Editorial cycle set for the 2025-2026 vintage: the February edition is Craftsmanship & Know-How, the September edition is Innovation & Technology. The September 2026 edition did fall under this second instalment, with its "Innovation & Technology" talks area and a Prospective Forum devoted to the Autumn-Winter 27-28 season.
- For January 2027, the theme highlighted by the official website is Territories of Savoir-Faire, with a chapter devoted to India.
Activities and community
PV Awards
The most closely followed awards programme among the textile press and buyers, the PV Awards used to comprise 8 prizes: Grand Jury Prize, Handle Prize, Imagination Prize, Fashion Smart Creation Prize, with systematic counterparts across the Fabrics and Leather worlds. The juries used to be chaired by recognised figures from the fashion and materials sector, which made it an editorial barometer as much as a commercial roll of honour.
A word of caution for an exhibitor preparing for January 2027: the official website does not mention the PV Awards in the programme published to date, and the page once dedicated to them is no longer online.
Smart Creation, a structuring CSR platform
Launched in 2015, Smart Creation is the platform dedicated to showcasing exhibitors' responsible approaches. It was unified under a dedicated Smart Creation Area in 2020 and continues to structure the trade show's CSR dimension, with a Smart Tech area dedicated to digital innovation (artificial intelligence, blockchain, traceability, 3D creation, trend data). It brings together:
- Smart Talks: conferences on the materials transition, traceability and eco-design.
- Smart Keys: a reading grid of responsible commitments by exhibitor (material, process, energy, social).
- Smart Creation Podcast: an editorial extension for the professional community.
Prospective Area and Sourcing Hubs
The programme for the September 2026 edition included a Prospective Area dedicated to new materials and processes, Sourcing Hubs guiding buyers towards strategic production areas, as well as a Next-Gen Packaging Solutions focus. The opening towards the Beauty sector, announced in September 2025, materialised in September 2026 with a "Fashion & Beauty" talks area and a partnership with Cosmetic Valley. The detailed programme for the January 2027 edition is not published to date: it will appear on the official website's programme page.
Associated trade shows
The Première Vision ecosystem covers the entire upstream fashion calendar with two benchmark satellites:
- Denim Première Vision: a trade show dedicated to the denim sector (weavers, finishers, makers, accessory suppliers), touring between European capitals. Next edition on 25 and 26 November 2026 at the Superstudio Più in Milan.
- Blossom Première Vision: a pre-collection format dedicated to premium and luxury brands, anticipating trends and materials. Next edition on 9 and 10 December 2026 at the Carreau du Temple in Paris.
The group also organises Première Vision New York (19 and 20 January 2027, Tribeca 360) and Première Vision Montréal.

How much it costs to exhibit
Exhibitor rates are not published publicly. Quotes on request from Première Vision SA via the application form on premierevision.com. The rate scale depends on the chosen world (Fabrics, Leather, Yarns, Accessories, Designs, Manufacturing, Smart Creation, Bag-Shoes & Leatherwear, Maison d'Exceptions), the surface area and the stand formula. Demanding curatorial selection, particularly for Maison d'Exceptions, which operates by invitation and editorial jury.
Numerical data not publicly available to date.

CSR policy and initiatives
Première Vision steers its CSR approach through Smart Creation, a platform launched in 2015 and unified in 2020 under a dedicated Smart Creation Area. The scheme articulates:
- Smart Keys: a reading grid by exhibitor, broken down across the materials, processes, energy and social commitment axes.
- Smart Talks: a programme of conferences on the materials transition, traceability and eco-design, integrated into the trade show's official programme.
- Smart Creation Podcast: an editorial extension on in-depth topics (responsible sourcing, materials innovation, European regulation).
- Cross-cutting responsible sourcing: integration of the Smart Creation offer within each world, in addition to the dedicated area, to make it easier for buyers to identify.
Two more recent schemes complete the platform. In July 2023, Première Vision launched 'a better way', a framework for assessing suppliers' responsible practices structured around five axes: social initiatives, the impact of production sites, traceability, product and process composition, and durability and end of life. In 2026, the organiser partnered with Paris Good Fashion to launch La Matrice Fibres & Matières (the Fibres & Materials Matrix), a shared grid designed to compare fashion materials and identify alternatives that address the main environmental challenges.
On the trade show's own organisation, Première Vision highlights three drivers (reduce, recycle, reuse) and a set of eco-design actions: stands that are 100% fitted out and reusable from one session to the next, LED lighting, digital badges replacing plastic passes, signage made from recycled bottles, carpet recycling, and the reuse of furniture and décor through a partnership with muto event, along with the sorting of around 60 tonnes of waste.
This CSR line has been integrated into the trade show's editorial positioning for ten years.

Trajectory analysis
Première Vision was born in 1973 in Lyon, at the initiative of around fifteen figures from the silk industry who sought to organise a shared commercial gathering ahead of the collections. More than fifty years later, the trade show has become the world's benchmark for upstream fashion sourcing, now held at Paris Nord Villepinte and backed by a leading industrial operator. The ownership trajectory has been gradual: GL Events entered the capital in 2007 with a 24.5% stake, rose to 49% in 2010, then acquired full control in 2023 for the trade show's fiftieth anniversary. This move to 100% made it possible to align Première Vision with the international strategy of GL Events Exhibitions and to secure long-term investment momentum. In 2025, Première Vision joined GL Events' fashion division, which brings together 18 events.
The appointment of Florence Rousson as Chair of the Executive Board in February 2024, succeeding Gilles Lasbordes, marked a new editorial chapter: the Craftsmanship & Know-How (February) / Innovation & Technology (September) cycle, a deliberate return to a mid-September calendar in 2025, the opening towards the Beauty sector and the consolidation of the Smart Creation scheme begun in 2015. The September 2026 vintage, the second "Innovation & Technology" instalment of the cycle, extended this line with a forward-looking emphasis on materials and processes. The following edition moves the winter gathering from February to January 2027 and showcases the Territories of Savoir-Faire editorial platform, whose Indian chapter was announced on 2 September 2026.
