Agoris analysis · updated October 2026

Key takeaways

  • The Salon des Sports et Parasports is the professional meeting point for those who fund, build, equip and run sports participation in France: local authorities, federations, facility operators, equipment manufacturers, engineering consultancies and sports tech.
  • It runs alongside the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales, in the same pavilion and with a shared visitor registration, which gives it direct access to elected officials and sports departments.
  • Next edition: the 4th, from Tuesday 24 to Thursday 26 November 2026, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Pavilion 7. Open 9:00 to 19:00 on Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00 to 18:00 on Thursday. Free visitor badge.
  • Organiser: Groupe Moniteur, part of the Infopro Digital group, in partnership with the Association des Maires et des Présidents d'Intercommunalité de France. Annual frequency since its launch in 2023.
  • Results of the latest edition, 18 to 20 November 2025: 18,179 professional visitors, up 8%, and more than 136 exhibitors.
  • New for 2026: a Parasports Challenge and a Youth Day, both on Thursday 26 November.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The offer is organised into six sectors: sports infrastructure, sports equipment and facilities, sports tech, sports activities, health and wellbeing, and the sports economy. In practice, the announced offer covers pitch and swimming pool builders, manufacturers of sports flooring, turf and play areas, architects and engineering consultancies, software publishers and digital solutions for managing sports activities, sports health players and federations presenting their programmes to local authorities.

The organiser describes two complementary markets. First the public market: modernising and renovating facilities, energy transition, accessibility, and structuring local sports policies. Then the private market: commercial sports leisure, fitness, sports health, multi-purpose facilities, and optimised operation of infrastructure. The context makes the target precise: according to the organiser, local authorities account for close to 80% of investment in sports facilities.

Notable exhibitors

The 2026 exhibitor list is online. It is shared with the Salon des Maires: listings specific to the Salon des Sports are flagged with a dedicated label, and 106 carried it when we checked on 10 October 2026.

It includes equipment manufacturers and builders such as Decathlon Pro, Gerflor, Tarkett Sports, Polytan, Labosport, Eurofield, Turf Tank, Myrtha, Bodet Sport, Proludic and idverde, operators and services such as Vert Marine and HelloAsso, and a strong federation contingent: the French federations of football, rugby, tennis, volleyball, swimming, cycle touring, pétanque and jeu provençal, bridge, as well as UFOLEP. Among institutions and networks, the Agence nationale du sport, ANDES, ANDIISS, COSMOS, the Fondation du sport français and Sports et Territoires appear on the list.

Visitor quality

The show is aimed at elected officials and sports directors, local authority technical departments, sports facility operators, commercial sports leisure operators, federations, clubs and associations, engineering consultancies and investors. The organiser reports a balanced audience: 52% public sector professionals, elected officials, managers and local authority staff, and 48% from the private sector, associations, clubs, federations and companies.

The 2025 edition welcomed 18,179 professional visitors, up 8%. This figure is published by the organiser, with no published third-party audit. It relates to the Salon des Sports alone and should not be confused with attendance at the Salon des Maires, which is much larger and from which the show benefits through the proximity of the aisles.

Activities & community

Conference programme

The Arène du Sport is the conference and debate space devoted to sports policy: schemes supporting participation, neighbourhood facilities, parasport and inclusive practices, sports health, youth and employment. In 2025 it also hosted the Innovation Awards ceremony.

The show also hosts the Forum Sports & Territoires, which holds its fourth consecutive edition in 2026 under the title “Un sport en transition forcée”. The announced programme includes an opening round table on the place of sport on the eve of the presidential election and three conferences: the methodology of a sports facilities master plan, integrating parasport into the local sports project, and the Alpes 2030 Winter Games as a national momentum.

Two new features are announced for Thursday 26 November. The Parasports Challenge will combine mini-competitions and matches in handisport, shared sport and adapted sport on the Multisports Pitch with conferences on the Arène du Sport. The Youth Day will give a voice to young people and to the sector's future professionals.

Pitches and the Refuge

The demonstration pitches, presented under the name “Vis ton sport” in the 2025 results, let visitors try practices and equipment in real conditions. They are organised around four themes: Health & Wellbeing, New Sports, Accessible & Shared, Nature & Outdoors. The 2025 results describe them as the liveliest spaces of the show.

The Mountain Sports Refuge, launched in 2025, returns in 2026. It brings together mountain local authorities and elected officials, resorts, federations, developers and equipment manufacturers around climate adaptation, “four-season” mountains and preparation for the Alpes 2030 Winter Games.

The Sports Innovation Awards

The competition rewards products, services and collaborations with a local authority, in six categories for 2026. Entry is free for exhibitors and co-exhibitors, and costs €470 excl. VAT for non-exhibitors, for a maximum of three entries. Entries close on 1 November 2026 at 23:59. Finalists pitch to the jury on the morning of 25 November, and the winners are announced the same afternoon. Each winner is offered, at their choice, 6 m² of stand for the following edition (for a booking of at least 18 m²) or a communication pack.

The 2025 winners were Playgones for Le Spot in Joinville-le-Pont, BOPA for the BOPA T11, Natural Grass for Aquaflow and for the pooling of a stadium in Rouen, and Kmoove for its inclusive interactive wall.

Community & networks

The show is backed by the ministry in charge of sport, the Agence nationale du sport, the CNOSF, France Paralympique, ANDES, ANDIISS, the FNOMS, Sports et Territoires and COSMOS, whose logos appear on the official website. Its origin explains this network: the show director, Stéphanie Gay-Torrente, explained in 2023 that she had conceived it in 2020 after consulting the long-standing sports partners of the Salon des Maires.

For the exhibitor, the main benefit remains the gateway to the Salon des Maires: elected officials who come for all of their public procurement also walk through the sports aisles.

On site: what you need to know

The show takes place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Pavilion 7, 1 place de la Porte de Versailles, 75015 Paris. The first three editions were held in Hall 6: for 2026, the official website indicates Pavilion 7, where the Salon des Maires stands are also located.

Opening hours: Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 November 2026 from 9:00 to 19:00, Thursday 26 November from 9:00 to 18:00.

Getting there: metro line 12, Porte de Versailles station, exit 1; trams T2 and T3a, Porte de Versailles - Parc des Expositions stop; buses 80 and 39. A bike station faces the main entrance. Car parks 1, 6 and 7 for visitors arriving by car.

The visitor badge is free. Registration goes through the platform shared with the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales, the Salon des Sports et Parasports and the Salon de la Biodiversité. Revolugo is the partner travel agency for accommodation.

How much does it cost to exhibit

Groupe Moniteur does not publish any price list online: stand, sponsorship and speaking slot offers are provided on request via the Exhibit page of the official website. The amounts below are indicative orders of magnitude for a three-day professional trade show in Paris. They are in no way the official rates of the Salon des Sports et Parasports.
Poste de dépenseFourchette basseFourchette haute
Stand of 9 to 18 m²: space and package (on quotation)€4,000€12,000
Fit-out, furniture, signage and electricity€1,500€10,000
Transport and set-up of demonstration equipment (flooring, equipment, apparatus)€500€6,000
On-site team, travel and meals (3 days)€1,200€4,500
Communication, invitations to elected officials and clients€500€4,000
INDICATIVE TOTAL (3 days)~€7,700~€36,500

The only amount published by the organiser: entry to the Sports Innovation Awards, free for exhibitors and €470 excl. VAT for non-exhibitors. For a manufacturer of flooring, pitches or heavy equipment, the line that drives the budget is the demonstration: installed, testable equipment weighs more than the stand space. Rates to be requested from the sales team.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Think in the municipal calendar: the organiser places the 2026 edition at the start of the new municipal term, when new teams set their sports investment programmes.
  • Plan a demonstration rather than a catalogue: the demonstration pitches and the Refuge are the spaces where elected officials see the equipment working.
  • Enter the Innovation Awards before 1 November 2026 at 23:59: free for an exhibitor, and the 25 November pitch gives visibility on the Arène du Sport.
  • Invite your local authority clients in advance, reminding them that the badge is free and shared with the Salon des Maires.

For the decision-maker visiting

  • Combine the two shows on the same day: general purchases at the Salon des Maires, sports equipment at the Salon des Sports.
  • Pick out the Forum Sports & Territoires conferences, useful for building a sports facilities master plan or integrating parasport into a local project.
  • Come on Thursday 26 November for the Parasports Challenge and the Youth Day, noting the 18:00 closing that day.

Sustainability policy & initiatives

The show's website publishes no sustainability policy, no carbon footprint assessment and no event-specific ISO 20121 certification. Its practical information page only points to the Impact CO2 tool for calculating the carbon footprint of the journey, and details access by bike and public transport. The organising group, Infopro Digital, does however publish a 2025 ESG report: it states that it completed in 2024 the first cycle of its CSR commitments, set in 2021, and opened a new cycle for 2025-2028, with the definition of a trajectory to reduce its scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions. This is a group commitment, which the show's website does not relay.

The venue provides a documented guarantee: Viparis, operator of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, states that in 2014 it was the world's first events operator to be ISO 20121 certified across all of its sites and activity.

In substance, the ecological transition of sports facilities is a central theme of the content: energy efficiency, renovating an ageing stock, reuse and end of life of equipment, and a dedicated category for sustainable infrastructure in the Innovation Awards. These are exhibition and conference themes, not an organisational commitment by the organiser.

Trajectory analysis

Created in 2023 as the sports offshoot of the Salon des Maires, the show has, according to the organiser's press releases, made a clear step up in attendance over three editions: nearly 11,458 visitors at the first, 18,179 at the third. The 2025 results press release reports an 8% increase, without specifying the year of comparison, and no 2024 results are published on the website.

The number of exhibitors tells a less linear story: around 152 in 2023, more than 200 announced before the 2024 edition, more than 136 displayed for 2025. The 2024 figure was a pre-show target and no exhibitor results for 2024 are published, which rules out concluding that there was a decline. The three figures do not measure the same thing (a result, a target, a display by the organiser) and do not allow us to say whether the show has changed its exhibitor profile.

The positioning has been refined from edition to edition: the legacy of the Paris 2024 Games and employment in 2024, mountains and the Alpes 2030 Winter Games in 2025, youth and parasport in 2026. The 2026 edition combines a change of pavilion with a favourable political calendar: held at the start of the new municipal term, it falls just as the new teams settle their sports facilities programmes.

The dates of the 2027 edition had not been announced at the time of writing.
