Key points
- The Salon du Brasseur is the technical trade show for brewing suppliers: raw materials, brewing equipment, packaging, laboratory and services. It presents itself as the leading technical trade show in France and the second in Europe.
- It is changing its name and scope: it becomes the Salon du Brasseur & de la Boisson and opens up to wine, champagne, spirits, fermented drinks, non-alcoholic drinks and no/low, without giving up its brewing core.
- Next edition: the 27th, on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 April 2027, at the Parc Expo de Nancy in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, from 9am to 6pm.
- Mind the dates: the edition announced for 15 and 16 October 2026 will not take place on that date. The organisers have postponed it to spring 2027, and the trade show thus returns to its pre-Covid slot at the end of the first quarter. Several online directories and listings still show October 2026, and so does the banner of the official website.
- Co-organisation: the Musée Français de la Brasserie, which originated the trade show, and Destination Nancy, a local public company that operates the Parc Expo. Annual frequency.
- Latest published report, October 2025: over 135 exhibitors from 15 countries, including 35% international exhibitors.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The offer is organised into seven families, those of the 2027 admission request form: raw materials, manufacturing, accessories and miscellaneous products, packaging, laboratory equipment, distribution equipment, services. In practice, you will meet maltsters, yeast and hop suppliers, makers of brewhouses, fermenters and packaging lines for bottles, cans and kegs, label printers and analysis providers.
The international share is structural: from 31% of exhibitors in 2021 to 40% in 2024, with a strong Belgian, German, Italian, Czech and Dutch presence according to the organiser. The 2027 edition marks a shift: the organiser announces a broader exhibitor offer to also serve winegrowers, champagne houses and producers of fermented or non-alcoholic drinks.
Notable exhibitors
The list of 2027 exhibitors has not been published yet. The "Find an exhibitor" link on the official website leads to the 2024 edition directory, not to be confused with the next edition.
The companies awarded in the BRASSINOV® innovation competition give an idea of the level of the offer. 2025 winners: Soufflet Malt for Château Cara Ultra, Vivelys for Visio 0.0% and Boisé Absolu, Lallemand Brewing for Yops, THIELMANN, The Container Company, for the Vertex Keg. 2024 winners: Soofût, Fermentis, CO2 Brasserie and LANXESS.
Visitor quality
The trade show targets professional brewers, whether starting up, growing or diversifying, and also welcomes amateur brewers, who have historically attended. From 2027, it also aims at the other drinks trades.
No attendance figure is published: the organiser's reports speak of stable attendance in 2022 and 2023, then a slight drop in 2024 offset by more qualified contacts. Since 2025, a partnership with Promosalons aims to attract professional visitors from Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. No OJS certification is communicated.
Activities & community
Conference programme
The 2027 programme is announced as "in progress" on the website. The September 2026 press release plans around twenty technical and economic workshops and conferences. For reference, the 2024 edition featured 9 conferences and 15 technical workshops. In 2025, the announced themes ranged from beer ageing to producing non-alcoholic beer without microbiological risk, via the hop sector, fermentation aromas, cleaning and disinfection, water in breweries or opening a taproom. Brewing and malting demonstrations are provided by the Musée Français de la Brasserie.
Competition
The BRASSINOV® competition, created in 2021, is reserved for exhibitors and rewards innovations that address the sector's environmental and societal challenges. Free for registered exhibitors, it will open to the entire drinks sector from 2027. The prizes are presented at the opening ceremony of the trade show.
The Musée Français de la Brasserie has also run, for more than thirty years, a national beer competition open to amateur and professional brewers, whose prize-giving takes place during the trade show. Its calendar is changing with the new positioning: the competition will now open as early as December.
Community & networks
The trade show is supported by Brasseurs de France, the Syndicat National des Brasseries Indépendantes and the Institut Français des Boissons, de la Brasserie et de la Malterie. Its podcast studio, Les Inter'Brew, is run with Bière Actu.
The trade show is extended by the Fête des Bières, a separate event for the general public, which will take place on Friday 2 April 2027 as an afterwork (6.30pm-9.30pm) and on Saturday 3 April 2027 (3pm-11pm). New in 2027: Friday is shared by the two events, to combine professional time and a festive moment in a single trip.
On site: what to know
The trade show has occupied the Parc Expo de Nancy since 2018, after growing at the Musée Français de la Brasserie, in Saint-Nicolas-de-Port. According to the presentation page, exhibitors have 6,500 m² of exhibition space under a covered hall. Access address given by the trade show: rue Catherine Opalinska, in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy.
By bus from Nancy railway station (exit place de la République): COROL line C1 and line 33, stop "Parc des expositions", or line 14 EX, stop "Saint-François d'Assise". By car from Metz, Thionville or Luxembourg: A31 towards Nancy-Brabois, then A33 and exit 1 Vandœuvre Centre/Parc des Expositions; from Épinal, N57 and the same exit. Destination Nancy places the city 1h30 from Paris by high-speed train (TGV).
Opening hours: 9am-6pm on both days. Visitor entry: €10, or by invitation with a code provided by an exhibitor, to be entered on the online ticket office. On site: restaurant Le Bazin, the Museum's refreshment bar and fast food, a food truck area, a left-luggage service and a cash machine opposite hall A. Dogs are not admitted. The website offers an accommodation booking service with no booking fees.
How much does it cost to exhibit
| Poste de dépense | Fourchette basse | Fourchette haute |
|---|---|---|
| Stand space (bare or fitted) and fit-out, on quotation | €1,500 | €6,000 |
| Transport, set-up and dismantling of demonstration equipment (tanks, packaging) | €500 | €5,000 |
| Staff on site, accommodation and meals (2 days) | €800 | €3,000 |
| Communication, samples and client invitations | €200 | €1,500 |
| INDICATIVE TOTAL (2 days) | ~€3,000 | ~€15,500 |
The item that varies most is not the floor space but the equipment shown: a packaging line or a tank on demonstration weighs more heavily on the budget than a presentation stand. Rates are to be requested from Destination Nancy via the Exhibit at the show page.
Preparing your visit
For exhibitors
- Request the participation file via the 2027 admission form: the move from October to April shortens the preparation schedule.
- If you are launching a novelty, prepare a BRASSINOV® entry: the competition is free and its prize-giving takes place at the opening ceremony, in front of the sector.
- Adapt your pitch to the new audience: winegrowers, champagne houses and non-alcoholic producers share fermentation, packaging and analysis with brewers.
- Distribute your invitation codes early, as entry is paid without a code.
For visitors
- Target the technical conferences and workshops, which have historically been packed and count as continuing training for many brewers.
- Come on Friday to combine the trade show and the Fête des Bières afterwork.
- Compare the equipment on demonstration on site before investing: that is the purpose of the trade show.
CSR policy & initiatives
Destination Nancy is ISO 20121 certified for all its activities, including the Salon du Brasseur, and has been engaged in a sustainable development approach since 2014. It has also held the Destination Innovante Durable label since 2022.
At the trade show, the described actions mainly concern waste: sorting during set-up and dismantling by the Boutique du Réemploi (wood, cardboard, metal), a sorting kit and visits from the sorting ambassadors of the Métropole du Grand Nancy at every stand, more visible sorting bins with clearer pictograms, carpet donated to associations and schools. Destination Nancy has signed the QUITRI charter led by Citeo and was a 2022 winner of Citeo's call for expressions of interest on visitor waste sorting.
On the content side, the BRASSINOV® competition explicitly rewards innovations with an environmental aim, such as reusable kegs, low-carbon malts or eco-designed labels awarded in past editions. No carbon footprint assessment of the trade show is published.

Trajectory analysis
Born from a trade show of equipment and supplies for small breweries, organised by the Musée Français de la Brasserie in Saint-Nicolas-de-Port, the trade show, having outgrown Saint-Nicolas-de-Port, moved to the Parc Expo de Nancy in 2018, then grew from 138 exhibitors in 2019 to 186 in 2023 and 2024, with an international share close to 40%.
The 2025 edition marks a break: over 135 exhibitors, clearly fewer than the previous year, in what the organiser describes as a tense economic context, marked by slowing sales and a shift in distribution channels. The trade show's podcasts have described since 2024 a crisis in French craft brewing, which has already led small breweries to close: the trade show's exhibitor base is probably affected, although the organiser does not quantify it.
The 2027 response is twofold. The scope widens to the whole drinks sector, betting on shared technical needs (fermentation, processes, packaging, quality, energy). And the calendar returns to the end of the first quarter, a period that exhibitors consider better suited to their investment cycles, according to the September 2026 press release. The bet is clear: regain critical mass by widening the audience without diluting the brewing expertise. The April 2027 report will tell whether it worked.
