Key points
- Silver Economie Expo presents itself as “the trade show for services and innovations for seniors”: an annual meeting point for the healthy-ageing sector, bringing together companies, start-ups, local authorities, care facilities and funders around adapting society to an ageing population.
- Next edition: Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 December 2026, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Hall 5.1. Open 8:30am to 8:30pm on Tuesday, 8:30am to 5:30pm on Wednesday. Free entry with registration.
- The trade show does not stand alone: together with the Salon des services à la personne et de l'emploi à domicile and the Carrefour des solidarités territoriales, it forms a set of three trade shows held on the same dates, in the same hall, with a shared exhibitor list.
- Organiser: IDEAL Connaissances (idealCO brand), a company based in Le Kremlin-Bicêtre that organises conferences and trade shows for the local public sector. It bought the trade show from its founder, Alain Bosetti (En Personne Expo), with effect from 1 April 2025.
- Annual frequency, at Paris Porte de Versailles. According to its organiser, the trade show has existed since 2013.
- The Silver économie sector, managed since 2018 by the association France Silver Eco, has been associated with the trade show since the 2025 edition; the “Mieux vieillir” track is coordinated by France Silver Eco.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The offer covers whatever helps people age at home or in a care facility: digital and technological innovations, home adaptation, transport, social connection, support for carers, prevention of loss of autonomy, home services, and also the players who design, fund and prescribe these solutions.
The trade show highlights two centres of excellence. The Silver Valley village brings together member companies of this innovation cluster dedicated to the demographic transition. The Village des Gérontopôles de France brings together the gerontopoles that are members of the Union des Gérontopôles de France, as well as the companies and start-ups they support.
The organiser's commercial argument rests on the calendar: exhibiting in early December makes it possible to conclude annual commercial negotiations and to present launches planned for 2027. It also rests on pooling: according to the organiser, one stand gives access to three markets, which it calls the “Hub Solidarités” effect.
Notable exhibitors
The exhibitor list published for the 2026 edition is shared across the three trade shows, and it was still being compiled in early October 2026. Exhibitors noted there included Legrand, Tunstall, Solem Attentive, Casio, Innothera, VYV, Anah, CNAV Île-de-France and Cramif. In the Silver Valley village, 2 Minutes de Bonheur and Domicare were listed.
Some of these exhibitors belong first and foremost to home services, on the Salon des services à la personne side: the boundary between the three trade shows is porous, which is the principle of the set-up.
Visitor quality
The official website details the expected profiles: managers and decision-makers of care homes (Ehpad), senior residences and housing with services; local authority leads for autonomy (departmental councils, town halls, CCAS, MDA); medical, paramedical and medico-social professionals, including occupational therapists; housing and home-adaptation professionals; home-care service providers; pension funds, mutual insurers, provident institutions, insurers and banks; equipment distributors; marketing, sales, purchasing and R&D departments of large groups and SMEs; networks, investors and impact funds; start-ups.
For an exhibitor, the value lies in the simultaneous presence of public prescribers and funders. No attendance figure specific to Silver Economie Expo is published, and no OJS certification is displayed.
Events & community
Conference programme
Conferences are held mostly in five agoras, accessible with the free registration for the trade show. The 2026 programme was still being published in early October. The sessions already attached to Silver Economie Expo covered senior mobility (“Mobilité des séniors, enjeu pour l'autonomie”), adapting housing to loss of autonomy at local level, the role of gerontopoles in evaluating innovations, and that of social landlords facing an ageing tenant population.
For 2026 the website highlights a reflection on the society of old age, worded as follows: “Mieux vivre et bien vieillir à tout âge : quel projet politique ?”. The website also offers replays of the 2025 talks by Luc Broussy, chair of the Silver économie sector and of France Silver Eco, Damien Cacaret, chair of Silver Valley, and Françoise Tenenbaum, chair of the Union des Gérontopôles de France.
The programme is published on a shared website, with a filter by trade show: the four sessions attached to Silver Economie Expo sit alongside those of the disability, early childhood and inclusion tracks.
Villages and tracks
Exhibitors are grouped into themed villages: Gérontopôles, Silver Valley, Associations de service à domicile, Aidons les aidants, Emploi à Domicile, Emploi et Recrutement. On the conference side, the “Mieux vieillir” track, coordinated by France Silver Eco, directly concerns the trade show; the home page also highlights the theme “Aidons les proches aidants”, and an “Aidons les aidants” village brings together exhibitors.
Community & networks
The 2025 edition marked a change of scale. In September 2025, idealCO and France Silver Eco announced a partnership to make the trade show the meeting point of the sector, with an organisation and editorial line defined jointly. The 2026 website states that the trade show is held with the support of the Filière Silver Economie.
Silver Valley and the Union des Gérontopôles de France are presented as the partner centres of excellence.
The press covered the 2025 edition on Sud Radio, in EcoRéseau and in Parenthèse.

Preparing your visit
For exhibitors
- Choose your anchor among the three trade shows: your stand is seen by everyone, but the priority target (public prescribers, care facilities, home services) determines the location and the pitch.
- Get in touch with a village if you are a young company supported by Silver Valley or a gerontopole.
- Ask about speaking slots early, which the organiser lists among the reasons to exhibit: the programme was still being put together in early October 2026.
- Arrange meetings in advance with care-facility buyers, pension funds and local authorities.
- Make use of Tuesday evening, open until 8:30pm, for the longest meetings.
For decision-maker visitors
- Register online in advance: entry is free but registration is required.
- Build your visit around the older-people track sessions, then the Silver Valley and Gérontopôles villages to spot innovations that have already been evaluated.
- Cross-check with the exhibitors of the Salon des services à la personne, in the same hall, if you run a home-care service.
CSR policy & initiatives
Neither the Silver Economie Expo website nor idealCO's publishes a formal CSR policy, a carbon assessment of the event or an ISO 20121 certification specific to the trade show.
The venue does, however, provide a documented framework: Viparis, operator of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, presents itself as the first events player in the world to have been ISO 20121 certified across all its sites, in 2014, and runs a strategy called Better Events.
The trade show's content falls within the social rather than the environmental field: prevention of loss of autonomy, support for carers, housing adaptation, jobs in care professions. These are programme themes, not an organisational commitment by the organiser.

Trajectory analysis
Before its sale, Silver Economie Expo was the sister trade show of the Salon des services à la personne: both were created and developed by Groupe en Personne, and organised jointly in late November at Pavilion 5.1 of Porte de Versailles, as in 2022, 2023 and 2024. In 2023, the Silver Economy Expo press release announced 200 exhibitors, including 70 start-ups; in 2024, more than 200 exhibitors, including 70 start-ups, and the press release on official visits reported 200 exhibitors for the two trade shows organised jointly. These are announcement figures, issued before the event, not results.
The sale to idealCO in 2025 shifted the centre of gravity. The organiser comes from the world of local authorities, and the 2026 edition embraces this: the two historic trade shows are held alongside a third event, the Carrefour des solidarités territoriales, which is organised into five themed tracks: early childhood, inclusion, housing, older people, disability. The Carrefour presents itself as the meeting point for public decision-makers and operators, and the trade show is linked to the sector through France Silver Eco.
The downside is a less legible identity: the trade show appears under two spellings, Silver Economy Expo in press releases until 2025 and Silver Economie Expo on the 2026 website, its historic domain redirects to a page of the Carrefour website, and no results of its own were published for 2025. The 2026 edition is also held in early December, against late November in 2025.
