Key facts

  • Tech&Fest describes itself as "France's benchmark deeptech event": two days of conferences, exhibition and business meetings at Alpexpo, in Grenoble, covering research, industry and technology startups.
  • Next edition: the 4th, on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 February 2027, from 8:30am to 8:00pm on both days.
  • Organiser: EBRA Events, the events subsidiary of the regional press group EBRA. The event was conceived by Le Dauphiné Libéré, a title of the group. No co-organiser is listed.
  • Annual frequency, held every early February at Alpexpo since the first edition on 1 and 2 February 2024.
  • Mixed audience, mainly professional: executives, researchers, academics and entrepreneurs, but also students and, on registration, middle and high school classes on guided visits. It is not a trade show closed to professionals alone. The pass page lists no general public ticket.
  • The organiser states, without a year, 20,000 participants, more than 400 partners and more than 5,000 business meetings. For the February 2026 edition, Maddyness reported more than 20,000 visitors.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The exhibition is organised into four themed worlds, which the organiser sums up as "4 expos in 1": tech&solutions, solutions for businesses (AI, cybersecurity, financing, HR, quantum); tech&human, tech serving health, well-being and quality of life at work; tech&planet, energy, mobility and the environment; tech&fab, industry, electronics and sustainable production.

The website refers indiscriminately to partners and exhibitors ("Become a partner or exhibitor"): taking part goes through partnership packages, and large groups, local authorities and startups all appear on the same partners page. The line-up mixes three worlds that Grenoble concentrates in one area: public research bodies, industrial players in microelectronics, energy and health, and a pool of young deeptech companies.

Notable exhibitors

The founding partners listed on the website are the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, Grenoble Alpes Métropole, the Le Grésivaudan community of communes, the CEA, Université Grenoble Alpes and Crédit Mutuel.

The page for each world lists the players who "were present at Tech&Fest", without specifying the edition. These notably include Schneider Electric, Capgemini, Orange, Michelin and Sanofi for tech&solutions; Air Liquide, Withings, Wandercraft and the Institut Pasteur for tech&human; Veolia, Verkor, Soitec, Enedis and Poma for tech&planet; and Rio Tinto, Equans, ADEME and Xometry for tech&fab. The Partners and exhibitors page of the 2027 website listed, at the time of writing, around forty partners split into tiers (founders, main, contributors, Business+, C-Level, Business, experience, startup), including the CNRS, Inria, Air Liquide, Euronext and Minalogic. The website does not distinguish exhibitors from other partners there.

Visitor quality

The website explicitly targets researchers, executives, academics, entrepreneurs and students. The professional side is structured around a paid pass, a business meetings platform and a C-Level track designed for four communities of decision-makers (marketing, finance, IT and HR), with the impact of AI on their roles as a common thread.

The youth side is fully embraced. The schools programme presented on the website, supported by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, plans for 500 middle and high school pupils on two-hour guided visits, with free registration, to discover the trades and know-how of the industries represented. A student pass also exists, and the BtoB pass gives access to a job dating area. For an exhibitor, this means the aisles are not filled with buyers alone: qualification relies on scheduled meetings more than on spontaneous footfall.

No OJS certification or third-party audit of attendance is published: the available figures are self-declared (organiser and press).

Events & community

Conference programme

Conferences take place on several themed stages, in French and English. The 2027 edition has as its guiding theme "Deeptech, industrial power: when science becomes a productive force". Its patron is Bertrand Piccard, initiator of the Solar Impulse project.

The 2026 edition, the third, was devoted to economic, industrial, energy and digital sovereignty, with more than 250 speakers. The announced programme notably included Luc Julia, co-creator of Siri (whose meeting with students from Grenoble INP - UGA is documented), Timothée Lacroix, chief technology officer of Mistral AI, Antoine Petit, chair of the CNRS, and the physicist Étienne Klein; Julie Galland, director of technological research at the CEA, was the patroness. The detailed 2027 programme had not been published at the time of writing.

Business meetings and villages

The July 2026 press release announces as a new feature of the 2027 edition the creation of a Deal Room: a physical space intended to speed up strategic discussions between companies. Its operation had not yet been detailed.

Themed villages have structured past editions: the Decarbonisation Village, with more than 50 startups offering meetings to companies, and the Robotics Village. In 2026, the event also hosted the iForum, presented by Maddyness as an event within the event and a springboard for local innovation players. Whether they will return in 2027 had not been confirmed at the time of writing.

Ahead of the event, the organiser offers an online masterclass on Tuesday 17 November 2026, from 12:30pm to 2:00pm, on water as a strategic issue for innovation, with the hydrologist Emma Haziza.

Community & networks

The format aims to be festive as much as professional: happenings, entertainment, a food court with food trucks and local produce. The event's very name says as much.

On the press side, outlets such as Maddyness, Futura and Ecomnews covered the 2026 edition. The event is present on LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube, and the website links to replays of the 3rd edition.

How much does it cost to exhibit?

The organiser's website publishes no price list for stands or partnership packages. Taking part is negotiated by quotation, via the form on the Become a partner page. The arguments put forward are an experiential space in the partner's colours, speaking slots on the themed stages, a media campaign lasting several months and VIP networking time.

Orders of magnitude only. The prices below come from a commercial brochure from the organiser for the 2025 edition (some labels mention the 2024 edition), hosted by the Minalogic cluster. They are not published on the official website, do not constitute an offer for 2027 and may have changed. Only a quotation request to EBRA Events is binding.

To budget for on top: travel and accommodation in Grenoble in early February, and whatever the negotiated package does not include. The partnership packages consulted included invitations for clients and employees.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Choose your world carefully: tech&solutions, tech&human, tech&planet or tech&fab. Each world has its own conference themes, its announced challenges and its list of players present at past editions.
  • Focus on pre-scheduled meetings through the business platform and the announced Deal Room, rather than on stand footfall alone, given the presence of students and school groups.
  • Negotiate a speaking slot on a stage: it is one of the levers explicitly included in the partner packages.
  • Make the most of the student audience and the job dating if the company is recruiting engineers or researchers.

For the decision-maker visitor

  • Register early: the Very Early Bird rate for the BtoB pass (€125 excl. VAT instead of the €250 shown) is announced until 1 November 2026, followed by a 30% Early Bird discount from 2 November.
  • Consider the Premium pass for support with business meetings and the Wednesday business lunch.
  • For marketing, finance, IT and HR roles, look at the C-Level track, devoted to the effects of AI on each profession.
  • Plan for both days: the long opening hours, until 8:00pm, leave room for evening networking.

CSR policy & initiatives

The event's website publishes an "Our commitments" page in five points. Transport: encouraging train travel, public transport and carpooling. Catering: a caterer certified ISO 20121, produce sourced within 100 kilometres on the food court and systematic vegetarian options. Inclusion: a venue accessible to people with reduced mobility and a diverse programme. Awareness: workshops beforehand, including those run with industrial players to build the Decarbonisation Village. Waste: sorting of biowaste, recyclables, household waste and cigarette butts, and collection of badge holders.

At the level of the organising group, EBRA Events states that it is ISO 20121 certified, the international standard for responsible event management, according to the July 2026 press release. No carbon assessment specific to Tech&Fest is published.

As for the venue, Alpexpo says it has embarked on an ISO 20121 certification process, with a target set for September 2026; whether it was obtained had not been confirmed at the time of writing.

Trajectory analysis

Launched in February 2024 by Le Dauphiné Libéré, Tech&Fest first presented itself as an innovation festival for the regions, with conferences, immersive exhibition tours and concerts. Over four editions, the positioning has narrowed: the 2027 edition positions itself on deeptech, compares itself with the major international innovation events and announces the creation of a Deal Room, a space intended to make meetings easier and speed up discussions between companies.

The setting, for its part, has not changed: still Alpexpo, still early February, with recurring institutional and scientific partners from Grenoble (Region, Métropole, CEA, Université Grenoble Alpes). The local roots are both the trade show's strength, giving access in one go to the CEA, CNRS, Inria and Université Grenoble Alpes ecosystem, and the question it has yet to settle: proving that it attracts decision-makers beyond the region.

Grenoble's designation as European Capital of Innovation 2026 served as a backdrop to the third edition. The dates of the 2028 edition had not been announced at the time of writing.
