Description
The Parc des Expositions de Strasbourg stands in the heart of the Wacken district, the diplomatic quarter on the north bank of central Strasbourg. The new Parc Expo, inaugurated on 2 September 2022 to designs by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, offers 24,000 m² of exhibition space spread across four modular halls, within an overall events complex of around 74,000 m² that includes the adjoining Palais de la Musique et des Congrès (PMC).
The site is operated by Strasbourg Événements (SEM), a semi-public company whose capital is shared between the Ville de Strasbourg and the Eurométropole de Strasbourg (holding a 51% majority) and GL Events, which acquired a 47% stake in 2014. GL Events sits on the SEM as an industrial shareholder: the local authority retains the majority and sets the strategic direction.
The Parc Expo + PMC complex forms the leading events hub of the Grand Est region, positioned around regional trade shows with a cross-border dimension (Germany, Switzerland) and around European gatherings driven by local diplomacy.
Halls
The new Parc Expo comprises four modular halls, sized for both trade and public show formats. Halls 2, 3 and 4 are interconnected to allow continuous circulation. Indicative areas provided by the operator:
- Hall 1: around 6,100 m², the largest single-span hall.
- Hall 2: around 4,460 m² (bridge hall).
- Hall 3: around 4,430 m².
- Hall 4: around 4,430 m², which can be coupled with the neighbouring halls for large-format operations.
The site also includes La Nef, a multi-purpose space of 2,480 m² with 17-metre glazed bays opening onto the canal and the surrounding green spaces. The PMC adds an auditorium and conference rooms to the exhibitor configurations, allowing trade shows to incorporate a conference programme without moving off site.
Access and transport
The site enjoys fast multimodal connections from central Strasbourg and the borders.
- Tram: lines B and E, Wacken stop, a 3-minute walk from the site.
- Bus: lines H (direct link from the station) and 2.
- Train: from Strasbourg station, around 12 minutes by tram on line B.
- Car: A35, Strasbourg centre exit. Paid visitor parking on rue Fritz Kieffer.
- Air: Strasbourg-Entzheim airport, around 15 minutes by shuttle or car.
The official address of the Parc Expo is 7 Place Adrien Zeller, 67000 Strasbourg, in the heart of the Wacken district. The adjoining PMC has a separate entrance on Place de Bordeaux.

The Strasbourg Événements operation shares services between the Parc Expo and the PMC.
- Catering on site: an offer integrated into the halls and the PMC, supplemented by the brasseries of the Wacken district.
- Business centre at the PMC: meeting rooms and workspaces for exhibitors and delegations.
- WiFi deployed across the entire site.
- Events services from Strasbourg Événements: technical management, reception, ticketing and organiser support.
News
The Wacken district is the subject of the Wacken Europe development project, an urban programme led by the Eurométropole de Strasbourg to reposition the area around its dual events and European vocation. The project brings together housing, offices, facilities and a reconfiguration of access routes around the Parc Expo and the PMC.
The site benefits from its immediate proximity to the European institutions based in Strasbourg: the European Parliament, the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights are all less than 500 metres from the Parc Expo. This concentration fuels the site's appeal for institutional congresses and events with a diplomatic component.
Flagship trade shows
