Description

The Parc des Expositions de Colmar is located to the east of the city, along the avenue de la Foire aux Vins (68000 Colmar, Haut-Rhin). It is operated by SA Colmar Expo, a public limited company whose capital is shared between CCI Alsace Eurométropole, the Chambre des Métiers d'Alsace, the Chambre d'Agriculture du Haut-Rhin, the Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins d'Alsace (CIVA) and STUCE SEM (the urban transport company for Colmar and its surroundings, which provides indirect representation for the Ville de Colmar).

The site offers 16,668 m² of covered halls across a total estate of more than 43,500 m² (indoor and outdoor), with 6 modular halls, an Espace Congrès of 8 rooms and an open-air theatre.

The venue is known nationally for hosting the Foire aux Vins d'Alsace every summer, created in 1948 under the name Foire Régionale des Vins d'Alsace at the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and the Ville de Colmar (source: colmar-expo.fr / Notre histoire, Wikipédia).

Halls

Six covered halls, configurable independently or grouped together via movable partitions:

  • Hall 1, Halle aux Vins: 2,088 m², up to 2,080 places for a standing reception or 1,300 seated in a performance configuration, retractable tiered seating
  • Hall 2: 3,000 m², 3,000 standing places, 2,130 seated for a meal
  • Hall 3: 3,500 m², the largest hall on the site, 3,500 standing places
  • Hall 4: 3,200 m², 3,200 standing places
  • Hall 5, "Cabaret": 1,200 m², a multipurpose space transformed into the Cabaret Colmarien during the Foire aux Vins
  • Hall 6: 1,200 m², the most recently delivered hall, which becomes the festive hub (afterworks, DJ sets) during the Foire aux Vins

The Espace Congrès adds 8 modular rooms across two levels (from the 91 m² salle Riesling to the 425 m² salle Gewurztraminer), for a total of around 1,700 m² of meeting and conference rooms. The rooms are named after Alsatian grape varieties (Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Crémant, Muscat, Gewurztraminer on the ground floor; Sylvaner, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris on the upper floor).

Access & transport

  • Car: A35 motorway. From Strasbourg, exit 23 "Colmar / Munster / Kaysersberg / Bennwihr Houssen". From Mulhouse, exit 24 "Nancy / Saint-Dié / Épinal / Kaysersberg / Colmar-Nord". Then follow "Parc des Expositions"
  • Bus: line D on the TRACE Colmar network (towards the Airport), "Parc des Expositions" stop. Weekday frequency: one bus every 20 minutes from 6.00am to 8.15pm
  • Train: Colmar station, around 10 minutes from the venue by bus, served by TER Alsace trains and TGV services from Paris-Est, Strasbourg and Mulhouse
  • Car parks: around 2,800 spaces split between the main P2 car park (1,400 spaces, paid), the Airport P3 car park (800 spaces, paid) and the Liebherr P6 car park (600 spaces, free, near the A35 Mulhouse exit)

  • Catering: in-house catering areas integrated into each hall (1 to 4 service kitchens depending on the hall). During the Foire aux Vins d'Alsace, the site is transformed into an Alsatian gastronomic hub, with winegrower stands and local catering until 1am
  • Espace Congrès: 8 modular rooms, video and sound equipment, dedicated catering, enhanced accessibility for people with reduced mobility
  • Artist dressing rooms: 5 dressing rooms in Hall 1, Halle aux Vins, including 1 accessible for people with reduced mobility
  • Logistics: lorry doors and loading docks on all main halls
  • Air conditioning: halls 1, 5 and 6 are air-conditioned

The site has undergone several successive phases of expansion, with Hall 6 the most recent delivery to date. Colmar Expo also operates a second site in the city centre, the Espace Auguste, dedicated to urban events and conferences.

The venue hosts both consumer trade shows and professional trade shows:

  • Foire aux Vins d'Alsace: 77th edition from 31 July to 9 August 2026. A trade show and festival created in 1948, organised by Colmar Expo in partnership with CCI Alsace Eurométropole. Around 350 exhibitors and 300,000 visitors (organiser figures). The festival's musical programme features French and international headline acts every year.
