Agoris analysis · updated October 2026

Key points

  • Crecendo is a professional trade show in Paris for footwear and fashion accessories, reserved for retailers, buyers and wholesalers. Its particularity: it is run not by a commercial organiser but by an association of sales agents, the ARICI.
  • Next edition announced on the official website: from Sunday 28 February to Monday 1 March 2027, at Espace Champerret, in Paris. Open from 8:30am to 8:00pm on Sunday and from 8:30am to 6:00pm on Monday. Dates published by the official website, to be confirmed by the organiser.
  • Organiser: ARICI, an association based in Lyon according to the site's legal notice; according to FashionUnited (March 2026), it is a loi 1901 association chaired since January 2026 by Christophe Trinel, who is also the trade show's director. No co-organiser identified on the official website.
  • Twice-yearly frequency: a late-winter session and a September session. The March 2026 edition, held at Parc Floral de Paris, brought together 56 exhibitors according to FashionUnited.
  • A tie-up with the rival trade show Centro Paris was announced in August 2026 for the September session, named Centro Crecendo, scheduled at Espace Champerret with nearly 300 brands announced.
  • Free digital visitor badge, with online registration or on-site registration at the reception desk.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

Crecendo follows the agents' trade show model. The exhibitors are commercial agents, who present the collections of brands they represent, and manufacturers exhibiting directly, such as JB Martin in March 2026, complemented by a few leather goods stands. Orders are taken from samples: the retailer selects from prototypes, and production is launched on the basis of order commitments.

The official website organises the offer into three areas: “Footwear”, with women's, men's and children's collections; “Leather goods and accessories”, for bags and small leather goods; “Care and innovation”, devoted to care products and technical accessories for the point of sale.

For a footwear brand aiming at independent French retail, the trade show is above all a channel for reaching agents and their clientele of shoe retailers.

Notable exhibitors

The official website publishes no list of exhibitors. The only brands documented come from the specialist press, and for past editions:

  • March 2026: FashionUnited cites, among the brands presented, Geox, Lemon Jelly, Blundstone, Mephisto accessories, Steve Madden, Toni Pons, Tamaris, SMR23, L'Atelier Charentaises and Aliwell.
  • September 2026, joint Centro Crecendo edition: the same source announced in particular Geox, Ballerina, La Maison de l'espadrille, JB Martin, Liu Jo, Mustang, Steve Madden, Tamaris, Lorenzo Masiero and Ernest.

None of these brands is confirmed at this stage for the 2027 edition.

Visitor quality

Access is strictly reserved for industry professionals: retailers, buyers, wholesalers and other players in fashion and accessories. The registration form makes the SIRET number optional, while maintaining the event's professional exclusivity.

The priority target is independent multi-brand retail. According to FashionUnited (March 2026), Crecendo does not target the large integrated chains, which have their own network and central purchasing, but the fabric of independent multi-brand retailers, the historic core of town-centre shoe retail. This fabric is fragile: the same source reports shoe retailers' turnover still down 2.20% in 2025, and a base of 2,910 independent multi-brand shops for 2,110 companies (-12% between 2022 and 2024).

No attendance figure is published, either by the organiser or by a certification body.

Activities and community

On-site services

The official website highlights “Pro Networking” zones devoted to business meetings, a secure “Cloakroom & Luggage” service and “Catering & Bar” areas for lunches and breaks. No conference programme or awards are published for the 2027 edition.

The tie-up with Centro

This is the standout fact announced in 2026. For several seasons, the agents who stayed loyal to Crecendo through the ARICI and those who had launched the rival trade show Centro Paris held two separate events. Christophe Trinel, new chairman and director of the trade show, had expressed in March 2026, according to FashionUnited, his wish to move closer to Centro.

The tie-up was announced in August 2026: a joint Centro Crecendo edition was scheduled for 20 and 21 September 2026, at Espace Champerret, leaving Parc Floral de Paris, the trade show's usual venue. Crecendo's official website does not say whether the 2027 edition will keep this joint format and name.

Community and networks

The trade show communicates on Facebook and Instagram. For exhibitors, the official website refers to its exhibitor service, reachable at contact@crecendo.fr, for the participation file and stand logistics.

On site: what you need to know

The trade show takes place at Espace Champerret, an exhibition centre in Paris's 17th arrondissement: the venue page details access.

The hours announced for 2027 are 8:30am to 8:00pm on Sunday 28 February and 8:30am to 6:00pm on Monday 1 March. The badge, which is free, is sent to a smartphone or a wallet after online registration is validated, and is valid for both days. It is also possible to register on site at the reception desk.

How much does it cost to exhibit

The ARICI publishes no price list online, and the “Become an exhibitor” link on the official website led to no page at the time of writing. For any question about the participation file, the site refers to the exhibitor service, reachable via the contact page. In the absence of an official figure, no estimate is given here.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Request the participation file early: the format of the 2027 edition, Crecendo alone or joint with Centro, determines the size of the trade show and the profile of your neighbouring stands.
  • For a brand with no network in France, the trade show is first and foremost a place to meet multi-line agents: prepare complete samples of the season and a clear minimum order policy.
  • Prepare your pitch for cautious independent retailers, whom the trade show's management described in March 2026 as open to novelty but limiting their risk-taking.

For the retail visitor

  • Register online before the trade show to receive the digital badge and avoid the reception desk.
  • Come with your seasonal buying plan and your order budget: the trade show runs on order-taking from samples.
  • Make the most of Sunday, the longest opening day, to tour the agents before coming back to finalise on Monday.

CSR policy and initiatives

Neither the Crecendo website nor the ARICI publishes a commitments page, a CSR policy or an ISO 20121 certification specific to the trade show. The only documented framework is that of the venue: Espace Champerret is operated by Viparis, which states that it has been ISO 20121 certified across all its sites and activities since 2014. A Crecendo exhibitor benefits from this environmental framework, with no additional commitment made by the trade show itself.

Trajectory analysis

Crecendo operates in a shrinking market. With 56 exhibitors in March 2026, the trade show remained one of the few French events specialising in footwear for independent retailers, in keeping with a town-centre trade that is losing points of sale and struggling to hand over its businesses.

The ARICI's response has been consolidation: ending the split between the agents gathered around the ARICI and the dissidents who created Centro Paris. The announced change of venue, from Parc Floral to Espace Champerret, accompanies this move. It remains to be seen whether the 2027 edition will continue the joint format announced for September 2026: this is the main point for an exhibitor to check before committing.
