Agoris analysis · updated October 2026

Key takeaways

  • Digital Workplace is the Paris professional trade show for the digital work environment: intranets, collaborative tools, internal communications and employee experience. The format combines an exhibition, conferences, workshops and project meetings.
  • Next edition: Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 June 2027, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, from 9am to 6.30pm on Wednesday and from 9am to 6pm on Thursday. The hall has not yet been announced.
  • Calendar change: the trade show was held in March from 2011, except in 2020 and 2021 when, after several postponements linked to the pandemic, it took place in September. It moved to April in 2026 and will be held in June in 2027.
  • Organiser: Infopromotions, a Paris-based company that also organises Solutions RH and Documation. No co-organiser.
  • Annual frequency. The trade show is the heir to Solutions Intranet et Travail Collaboratif (Intranet and Collaborative Work Solutions), held at the CNIT in La Défense from 2008 to 2010, then at the Porte de Versailles from 2011. It has carried the name Digital Workplace since the 2019 edition, and its website presented the April 2026 edition as the 21st.
  • Digital Workplace is held with Documation, a separate trade show: same dates, same venue, shared exhibition and attendance figures, near-identical exhibitor lists, but its own website and conference programme. The organiser does not designate a main trade show. Solutions RH and Innovative Learning run in parallel.
  • 2025 attendance, shared between Digital Workplace and Documation: 5,290 professional visitors, up 15% according to the organiser.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The trade show is organised around four stated areas: the digital workplace in the broad sense, intranets and collaboration, internal communications, employee experience. The list of exhibition themes is long: collaborative work, intranets and extranets, project blogs, microblogging, participatory and community spaces, enterprise social networks, unified communications, web TV and webcasting, knowledge management, content management, chatbots and artificial intelligence.

In practice, the exhibitors are mainly vendors of intranet platforms and employee hubs, vendors of collaborative suites and messaging tools, several of which position themselves on sovereignty, and integrators from the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. As the exhibition is shared with Documation, EDM, archiving and digital trust vendors share the aisles. Some of the stands are grouped into villages: in 2026, the Village Jalios hosted thirteen companies around the vendor, alongside villages run by Jint, by the Systematic Paris-Region cluster and by Efutura.

Notable exhibitors

The official exhibitor list shown at the time of writing is that of the 8 and 9 April 2026 edition, presented under the title "Ils étaient présents !" ("They were there!"). The 2027 list is not yet published.

In 2026, on the intranet and digital workplace side: Jalios, the edition's Gold sponsor, LumApps, Powell, Jamespot, Staffbase, Workvivo by Zoom, Intranet.ai, Intranet Inside, Jint, Lukla Group, Ametys and Klee Group. On the collaboration and messaging side: Wimi, eXo Platform, BlueMind, OnlyOffice, Collabora Online, XWiki, Netexplorer and monday.com. On the operators and integrators side: Orange Business, Claranet and Cloudity.

Commvault, Empreinte.com, Illuin Technology, LumApps, Orange Business, Spark Archives and Toshiba Tec France were among the conference sponsors. The document management vendors present under Documation, such as DocuWare, Neoledge, Efalia or AODocs, appear on the same list.

Visitor quality

The trade show targets internal communications and digital communications directors, digital transformation directors, intranet managers and project managers, CIOs and IT managers, HR directors and knowledge managers.

The 2025 visitor profile published by the trade show confirms an audience that is primarily technical: 40% come from IT, 18% from internal communications, 16% from sales and marketing, 12% from human resources, 8% from general management. On size, 31% work in organisations of more than 1,000 employees and 26% in organisations of 500 to 999 employees, but 34% come from organisations of fewer than 49 employees. Services, banking, insurance and finance account for 34%, industry and IT excluding software vendors 24% each, and public administration and local authorities 11%. Among the published areas of interest are collaborative work (79%), blogs, wikis and social networks (61%), portals and content management (60% each), and business intranets (57%).

The extract of 2025 visitors published by the trade show mixes large groups, government departments and public bodies: Air France, AP-HP, BNP Paribas, EDF, L'Oréal, Thales, SNCF Voyageurs, the French Ministry of the Armed Forces or the City of Paris, among more than 250 names.

The 5,290 visitors in 2025 are a total shared with Documation: no breakdown between the two trade shows is published. No OJS certification or third-party audit is displayed, and the results of the 2026 edition had not been published at the time of writing.

Events & community

Conference programme

The trade show is built around a cycle of conferences and round tables moderated by a journalist and often illustrated with client testimonials, complemented by the exhibitors' workshops.

The 2026 edition opened with an inaugural round table on how generative and agentic AI is transforming the intranet, employee experience and the digital workplace, and closed on a direct question: "L'IA va-t-elle remplacer l'intranet et les plateformes internes demain ?" ("Will AI replace the intranet and internal platforms tomorrow?"). In between, the round tables covered AI agents and internal knowledge, change management, employee hubs, information overload and measuring the adoption and ROI of internal tools.

The programme often paired a client with vendor workshops: Systra with Elqano, Picard with LumApps, Europcar Mobility Group with Cloudity and Workvivo by Zoom, Groupe ADP and Tarkett with Powell, MGEN with Jalios, the CNAM with Empreinte.com. The 2027 programme was not published at the time of writing.

Sovereignty, the common thread of 2026

The trade show awards no prizes or trophies. Its clearest marker in 2026 lay in the content: dependence on the large American platforms came up in several sessions. An expert opinion session asked whether there was an alternative to Microsoft 365, Orange Business headlined its workshop "Et si la collaboration ne dépendait plus des géants américains ?" ("What if collaboration no longer depended on the American giants?"), Interstis Solutions presented the adoption of a sovereign alternative without disrupting existing practices, and a joint workshop by France Labs Datafari, Linphone and XWiki questioned the sovereignty of the digital workplace. Conversely, Resilience365 defended a sovereign approach to Microsoft 365, and Eliadis presented document migration to SharePoint Online.

For a decision-maker, the value lies in hearing both options, staying in the Microsoft ecosystem or leaving it, argued on the same day by exhibitors at the trade show.

Community & networks

In 2026, the media partners shown on the exhibitor list included Les Echos, LeMagIT, L'Informaticien, IT Pro.fr, Solutions Numériques, Programmez, GPO Magazine, Décision Achats, DAF Magazine, Décideurs Magazine, Le Nouvel Économiste and Global Security Mag.

On the ecosystem side, the Systematic Paris-Region cluster and Efutura each ran a village there. The exhibitor testimonials from the 2025 edition showcased by the trade show stress the quality of the contacts and the round tables, with several announcing their return the following year.

The trade show is part of a group organised by Infopromotions on the same dates: the website of Solutions RH lists Digital Workplace among its parallel events, along with Innovative Learning and Documation & iExpo. Digital Workplace and Documation each keep their own website and programme, but share their exhibition and their figures.

On site: what you need to know

The trade show is held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The 2027 hall has not yet been indicated; in 2026, the exhibition shared with Documation occupied Hall 4, according to the Documation website.

Access by metro on line 12, Porte de Versailles station, Paris Expo exit; by tram on the T3, Porte de Versailles station; by bus on lines 39 and 80. By car, from the outer ring road (périphérique extérieur), Porte de Versailles - Pont de Sèvres exit, then avenue de la Porte de Sèvres and boulevard Victor; from the inner ring road (périphérique intérieur), Porte de Sèvres exit, then avenue de la Porte de Sèvres and boulevard Victor to place de la Porte de Versailles. Air France, the official carrier, announces discounts on its flights; at the time of writing the page indicated "Réservation : à venir" ("Booking: coming soon").

The trade show is open from 9am to 6.30pm on Wednesday 9 June 2027 and from 9am to 6pm on Thursday 10 June, as in 2026. At the time of writing, the Visitor badge page of the website still showed only the registration form for the 2026 edition.

How much it costs to exhibit

No pricing schedule is published on the Pour exposer (Exhibit with us) and Sponsoring pages of the website: the first is a simple request-for-information form. The amounts below are indicative sector-wide amounts, not drawn from Digital Workplace, for a two-day professional trade show of this format at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. They are in no way the official rates of Digital Workplace.

At this trade show, a large share of the programme is carried by exhibitors: in 2026, 29 of the 43 sessions were exhibitor workshops, with several intranet vendors presenting a project with a client. Another formula observed: exhibiting within a village run by a vendor or a cluster, like the Village Jalios. Rates to be requested from Infopromotions via the form on the website.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Factor in the new calendar: after years in March, then April in 2026, the trade show moves to June, which shifts preparation and sales follow-ups.
  • Build the workshop with a client: in the 2026 programme, Picard, Groupe ADP, Tarkett or MGEN came to give testimonials alongside their vendor.
  • Consider a village presence if an individual stand is not justified.
  • Tailor the pitch to a primarily technical audience: according to the 2025 profile, 40% of visitors come from IT, against 18% from internal communications.
  • Prepare clear answers on AI and on data sovereignty, two topics very present in the 2026 programme.

For the decision-making visitor

  • Come with a specific project, intranet overhaul, employee hub, tools for field teams or an alternative to Microsoft 365: the trade show lets you compare several vendors in a single day.
  • Note the opening round tables: in 2026, the inaugural one started at 9.15am on the first day.
  • Also consult the Documation programme for the document management and knowledge management topics linked to the intranet.
  • Make the most of the group organised on the same dates, Solutions RH, Innovative Learning and Documation, to cover HR, training and information in a single trip.

Policy & CSR initiatives

The Digital Workplace website has no CSR or sustainable development section, and no ISO 20121 certification is displayed for the event. Infopromotions does not publish a group-wide CSR programme either. Beware of the homonym: in the trade show's historical vocabulary, the French acronym RSE stands for enterprise social networks (réseaux sociaux d'entreprise), not corporate social responsibility.

The venue, however, provides a documented framework. Viparis, the operator of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, states that in 2014 it was the first events operator in the world to be certified ISO 20121 across all its sites and activity. Its Better Events strategy, launched in 2018 with a 2030 horizon, rests on three pillars: reducing environmental footprint, a lasting legacy for the Île-de-France region, and employee experience and diversity.

On the content side, the topic remains marginal: the 2026 programme included an expert opinion session on responsible AI and data sovereignty. This is a programme theme, not a commitment from the organiser.

Trajectory analysis

Digital Workplace is an old trade show under a recent name. In 2008, its website announced the 3rd edition of Solutions Intranet et Travail Collaboratif, two days at the CNIT in La Défense alongside Solutions RH and E-Learning Expo, since renamed Innovative Learning. The trade show left La Défense for the Porte de Versailles in 2011, and was held there every March over three days, the first opening at 2pm, up to 2024, with the exception of 2020 and 2021: the edition planned for March 2020, postponed several times, was held from 22 to 24 September 2020, and the one planned for March 2021 from 7 to 9 September 2021.

Its title follows the vocabulary of the market: enterprise social networks from 2011, intranet 2.0 in the mid-2010s, the social intranet paired with the digital workplace in 2018, the name Digital Workplace in 2019, then, since 2023 at least, a tagline widened to internal communications and employee experience. The 2026 programme shows the next stage: the intranet is no longer just a publishing tool but an entry point to AI agents, and the question of dependence on American platforms has entered the debates.

Documation is presented as a trade show held at the same time as Digital Workplace since at least 2020 (press release of March 2020), and the 2025 figures are published jointly. For anyone wanting to judge the size of the trade show, the consequence is direct: the 5,290 professional visitors in 2025, up 15%, cover both events with no breakdown, and the exhibition is shared. The progress shown is clear, but the share specific to the digital workplace cannot be measured from the outside.

That leaves the calendar. The format tightened to two full days in 2025, then the trade show moved to April in 2026 and will move to June in 2027. The organiser has not publicly given the reason. The dates of the 2028 edition had not been announced at the time of writing.

All data that does not mention its source comes from the organiser's website.

Unless otherwise stated, all factual data in this listing comes from the organiser's official website (salon-digitalworkplace.com).
