Key takeaways
- FITEX Paris is the national gathering for fitness, sport-health and wellbeing: gym equipment, studio concepts, sports nutrition, technical apparel, management software and training.
- Next edition: 25, 26 and 27 June 2027 at Hall 4 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Announced opening hours: 9am-7pm on Friday and Saturday, 9am-6pm on Sunday.
- Organiser: the company FITEX (RCS Paris 911 406 742), headquartered at 41 rue du Poitou, 75003 Paris. Christophe Andanson, chairman of Planet Fitness Group, and William Salinière, the trade show's director, are its co-founders.
- 2026 review published by the organiser: 14,800 visitors, 180 exhibitors and 200 brands across 19,000 m2, with 115 classes and masterclasses and 22 business workshops.
- A deliberately mixed audience: professionals and decision-makers (equipment suppliers, club managers, franchisors), coaches and trainers, health professionals, and individual practitioners. There is no day reserved for professionals under the current format.
- Calendar and venue switch in 2026: after four autumn editions at the Parc Floral de Paris, the trade show moved to late June at the Porte de Versailles, and stays there in 2027.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The offer covers the entire chain of a club or studio. The organiser structures the trade show into twelve families: fitness (strength training, cardio, cross-training), equipment and materials, nutrition and supplements, club management apps and software, insurance and consultancy, sportswear and technical apparel, wellbeing and health (recovery, spa, massage), associations and federations, installations (flooring, lockers, fit-out), digital solutions, training and employment.
On the visitor side, four profiles are explicitly targeted: professionals (gym managers, franchisees, franchisors), independent coaches and instructors, health professionals (osteopaths, physiotherapists, therapists) and individual practitioners.
Notable exhibitors
The official list of brands present is published on the trade show's exhibitors page. Among the players identified at the 2026 edition: Les Mills, which launched the "Ceremony Hyrox by Les Mills" format on site, Leaderfit' at the Village Pilates, Les Cercles de la Forme at the Village des Concepts, Concept2 for the ergometers of the Fitex Erg Series, and Johnson Health Tech France, whose director Daniel Hallifax is quoted in the edition's review.
Quality of the audience
The 2026 edition brought together 14,800 visitors, according to the organiser's review. This audience is mixed by design: a business share (operators, equipment suppliers, distributors, investors) and a general-public share made up of practitioners who came to try out equipment and take part in group classes. An exhibitor therefore has to weigh up its set-up between generating B2B contacts and building brand exposure with end consumers.
The media coverage reported by the organiser for 2026 was 54 accredited journalists and 32 accredited content creators, for a combined social media reach announced at 3.1 million people.
Events & community
Areas and programme
The trade show is divided into themed zones identified by the organiser: Scène FITEX, Village des Coachs, Village des Concepts, Village Pilates, Yoga Aérien, Bootcamp, Fight Zone, Strongman, Salle Europe and Ateliers FITEX. The programme combines group classes (bookable or not depending on the area), talks, training sessions and competitions. The 2026 edition featured 115 classes and masterclasses as well as 22 business workshops aimed at decision-makers.
Competitions
Three formats structure the competition side: the FITEX Showdown, team functional-fitness events announced with close to 300 competitors in 2026; the FITEX Erg Series, on indoor rowing and ski ergometers; and the Ceremony Hyrox, a training format combining running and functional exercises, launched at the 2026 edition.
Community & networks
The organiser runs a sector blog and a LinkedIn newsletter dedicated to the French fitness market, as well as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube accounts.
Alongside the trade show, the FITEX company also runs a separate format, Les Rencontres du FITEX: three days of business dating bringing together around a hundred selected decision-makers and investors, with an edition announced for 5 to 9 October 2026 at Club Med Opio, plus Franco-Italian and Moroccan spin-offs.
On site: what you need to know
For access, parking and accommodation, see the venue page: Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
Specific to the trade show: the event is held in Hall 4, fully covered and air-conditioned. The organiser points to exit 1 of the Porte de Versailles station (métro line 12) for direct access, as well as bus 80 (Porte de Versailles Parc des Expositions stop) and bus 39 (Desnouettes stop).
Exits are not final: a stamp given at the entrance allows re-entry to the hall for as long as the ticket remains valid. Several catering points are set up inside the hall. The official FAQ states that entry is free for children up to 12 and charged at €9 for ages 12 to 16, and that no ticket is refundable. 2027 ticket sales had not yet opened as of this page's publication date.
How much it costs to exhibit
| Poste de dépense | Fourchette basse | Fourchette haute |
|---|---|---|
| Stand (bare or fitted space, indicative) | €4,000 | €15,000 |
| Fit-out, furniture, signage | €2,000 | €8,000 |
| Demonstration equipment, logistics, handling | €1,500 | €7,000 |
| Staff, coaches, travel, accommodation | €2,500 | €8,000 |
| ESTIMATED TOTAL (indicative, 3 days) | ~€10,000 | ~€38,000 |
The format combines physical demonstration and direct sales to the public: plan for a higher equipment and staffing budget than a standard B2B trade show of equivalent size. Actual rates to be confirmed with the organiser (exposant@fitex-event.com).
Preparing your visit
For the exhibitor
- Contact the sales team via the "Devenir exposant" (Become an exhibitor) form on the official website or the address exposant@fitex-event.com: no public registration timetable is published.
- Decide early between a demonstration stand (machine trial area, live classes) and a business meeting stand: the mixed audience calls for two different set-ups.
- Position yourself within a themed area (Village Pilates, Village des Concepts, Fight Zone, Strongman) rather than on a stand-alone stand if the goal is visibility with practitioners.
- Check the constraints of Hall 4 with the organiser for any heavy equipment (floor loads, handling, power supply).
For the decision-making visitor
- Concentrate supplier meetings on the Friday: general-public attendance is mechanically higher on Saturday and Sunday.
- Identify the business workshops in advance in the official programme: these are the busiest slots for a club operator.
- Set aside a full day: 19,000 m2 and a dozen themed areas cannot be covered in half a day.
- Two neighbouring Parisian events can round out wellbeing or sport-health monitoring: Les Thermalies and Rééduca.
Policy & CSR initiatives
The official FITEX Paris website does not publish a "Commitments" or "CSR" page, and the event does not hold its own ISO 20121 certification. No quantified environmental commitment is therefore verifiable at the organiser level.
The tangible CSR grounding comes from the venue. Paris Expo Porte de Versailles is operated by Viparis, the world's first operator certified ISO 20121 across all of its Parisian sites, with a "Better Events 2030" strategy covering waste management, energy efficiency, responsible purchasing and the fight against food waste. An exhibitor with commitments to document can rely on this framework, but will need to check directly with the organiser for anything specific to the trade show itself.
On the social side, the event positions itself explicitly around the sport-health synergy, with an audience dedicated to health professionals (osteopaths, physiotherapists, therapists) and messaging around integrating fitness into preventive care pathways. This is a programming focus, not a formalised organisational commitment.

Trajectory analysis
FITEX Paris built itself up from 2022 at the Parc Floral de Paris, in a slot left vacant by the disappearance of the major French fitness trade shows of the 2010s. Four autumn editions established the brand there before the step-change of 2026: the move to the Porte de Versailles, Hall 4, and the shift of the calendar from October to late June.
This move shows up in the figures. The 2026 review shows 14,800 visitors for 180 exhibitors and 200 brands across 19,000 m2, against 152 exhibitors and 160 brands in the Parc Floral's 2025 review: the exhibitor offer is growing, attendance is dipping slightly. In other words, the trade show has gained in professional density without gaining in public volume, which is consistent with the business repositioning stated by the organiser.
Market context supports this trajectory. At the 2026 edition, the Union sport & cycle presented its Observatoire Forme & Fitness, though the precise figures released (number of practitioners, market size, number of facilities) could not be traced to a verifiable primary source as of this page's publication date.
Keeping the late-June dates in 2027 confirms the choice made in 2026. For an exhibitor, the question remains the dual audience: the trade show is the sector's only national gathering point, but its mixed model requires sizing a stand for both demonstration and negotiation.
Unless otherwise stated, all factual data in this listing comes from the organiser's official website (fitex-event.com).
