Agoris analysis · updated October 2026

Key takeaways

  • Intermaintenance is a business convention devoted to industrial maintenance: over two days, exhibiting suppliers and buyers meet in pre-scheduled 30-minute meetings, on equipped stands, with a conference programme running alongside. Its full title: "Les Rendez-vous Solutions & Innovations Maintenance" (the Maintenance Solutions & Innovations meetings).
  • Next edition: the 8th, from Wednesday 25 to Thursday 26 November 2026, at the Double Mixte, in Villeurbanne, on the Doua scientific campus.
  • Same dates, same venue: the 22nd edition of PCH Meetings, a convention from the same organiser for the pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical and gas industries. PCH Meetings is the historic event and Intermaintenance its maintenance counterpart; the two share the conference programme, and no combined figure is published.
  • Organiser: abe (advanced business events), a Boulogne-Billancourt company specialising in business conventions. No co-organiser.
  • Annual frequency. Launched in October 2019, the convention has been scheduled every November since 2020.
  • An asymmetric business model: participation is free for buyers, with accommodation covered (reserved for French and European companies) and transport reimbursed at a flat rate for any registration before 16 October 2026; suppliers pay from €2,300 excl. VAT, without a stand, to €5,600 excl. VAT for a 12 sqm stand, plus €200 excl. VAT registration fee.
  • No attendance figure is published. New for 2026: an enriched classification of skills and needs, which serves as the basis for matching the meetings.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The 2026 classification sorts the suppliers' offering into four families. The first, "Concept stratégique - Transformation digitale & infrastructures" (strategic concept: digital transformation and infrastructure), covers Maintenance 4.0 and digitalisation (digital twins, interoperability, OT/IT cybersecurity), data and software platforms, CMMS and EAM included. The second, "Optimisation technique - Performance, fiabilité, énergie, sécurité" (technical optimisation: performance, reliability, energy, safety), groups artificial intelligence applied to maintenance, asset performance (predictive maintenance, FMECA, ISO 55000), energy and regulatory safety.

The third, "Terrain - Opérations, inspection, équipements, interventions" (field: operations, inspection, equipment, interventions), brings together robotics and inspection drones, testing and measurement (oil analysis, vibration, thermography, ultrasound, non-destructive testing), tooling and components, maintenance companies and rental firms. The fourth, "Environnement institutionnel - Référentiels, formations, documentation" (institutional environment: standards, training, documentation), takes in professional bodies, certification bodies, trainers and publishers.

The shift is clear compared with the first editions. Until 2025, the website's presentation was aimed first at equipment manufacturers, CMMS software vendors, augmented reality, remote maintenance, specialist providers and manufacturers' after-sales services. The 2026 version puts data, artificial intelligence and OT/IT integration to the fore.

Notable exhibitors

The provisional list of suppliers, dated 18 September 2026 and available to download from the suppliers page, counts 15 companies. Digital solutions are the most numerous: IFS Ultimo, Fracttal and Inoteam for CMMS and asset management, Araïko for deploying artificial intelligence in industry, Asystom for predictive maintenance by sensors, Beeldi for the technical data of buildings, YZAR for digital twins of installations, Dametis for energy performance.

Maintenance services are represented by Bouygues Energies & Services, through its Industrial Maintenance business unit, and by Nokia Solutions & Networks for telecoms network operations. The list is completed by Fluitec (Netherlands) for monitoring and extending the life of industrial oils and fluids, JPB Système and its self-locking mechanical solutions derived from aeronautics, Foselev Process Solutions, Eureka Industries for training and Carvey Conseil. Eleven of these companies are French; the other four come from the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium and Finland.

Quality of the audience

The targeted buyers span ten families of functions: maintenance and reliability, industrial management and leadership, automation and data (OT/IT), operations and utilities, capital projects and engineering, procurement and supply, HSE, energy and sustainability, design offices, management of external contractors. The list runs from the methods technician to the group maintenance director, taking in the MRO buyer and the unit shutdown/turnaround coordinator.

The provisional list of buyers, dated 2 October 2026 and available from the buyers page, gives a sense of the mix. From France: bioMérieux, Sanofi, Gambro Industrie (Baxter group), Virbac France, Prayon, SNF, Albioma, SPIE and Egis. Internationally, the weight of the Maghreb is marked, with Sonatrach and the Société nationale des transports ferroviaires in Algeria, OCP Maintenance Solutions in Morocco and the national water operating and distribution company in Tunisia. Also listed are Syngenta's Monthey site and the Swiss army's logistics centre at Grolley. The list also includes consultants and service companies.

Free attendance has a counterpart: the buyer undertakes to keep their meetings, to attend the conferences they have chosen and not to cancel less than a month beforehand without arranging a replacement. Only meetings confirmed by both sides are scheduled, and each participant can name the contacts they refuse to meet.

No OJS certification or attendance audit is published. At group level, abe displays satisfaction rates based on its questionnaires from 2015 to 2022, all events combined: 89.73% of participants who met relevant contacts, 86.40% of satisfied exhibitors and 89.56% of satisfied buyers. These figures are not specific to Intermaintenance.

Events & community

Conference programme

The 2026 programme is shared by Intermaintenance and PCH Meetings. In the version published at the end of September 2026, it lines up twelve 30-minute conferences, open to all participants. The maintenance strand is concentrated on Thursday: energy and water management in light of the obligations of the DDADUE law with Dametis, artificial intelligence to make field-collected data reliable with Beeldi, moving from CMMS to the business assistant with Araïko, AI serving maintenance teams with Fracttal, then a six-question grid for deciding whether to change CMMS or fix the existing one, with Inoteam.

Wednesday mixes maintenance and processes: condition monitoring of critical equipment in the minerals industry with Asystom, five types of digital twins with YZAR, as well as process and utilities topics, within the scope the site attributes to PCH Meetings (processes, equipment, utilities, energy efficiency, decarbonisation and hydrogen): filtration and carbon footprint, industrial effluent treatment, heat recovery from compressed air with Kaeser Compresseurs, decarbonisation of distillation based on a study by ALLICE, ergonomics of fluid transfer.

Two points to bear in mind. Seven of the twelve conferences are given by companies on the provisional list of suppliers: an exhibitor can buy a slot for €600 excl. VAT, provided the content is technical rather than commercial, approved by the organiser with a reading committee of experts. And the conferences can be attended without business meetings, for an entry fee: €200 excl. VAT per half-day without lunch, €350 excl. VAT per day and €450 excl. VAT for both days, lunches included.

How the meetings work

Intermaintenance awards no prize or trophy: its signature is the schedule. The 2026 calendar is tight. Each participant fills in their presentation form, which can be modified until Monday 19 October 2026. The online technical catalogue opens on Wednesday 21 October: participants request their contacts and flag those they refuse (refusals are only taken into account at this stage), then specify their availability and choose their conferences, by Friday 6 November. The personalised schedule arrives by email on Wednesday 18 November.

On site, the 30-minute meetings take place on individual stands, and the organising team can arrange additional meetings. The no-stand package works differently: the supplier moves from table to table following their schedule.

The scheme includes a lever not to be overlooked: each exhibitor package includes "parrainage" (referral) invitations for its own prospects, from 300 to 1,000 depending on the package. abe covers their accommodation and reimburses their transport, up to €100 for a French company and €150 for a foreign company; for a company outside the European Union, support is arranged in consultation with the organiser.

Community & networks

Intermaintenance has never been organised on its own. In 2019, its first edition was held with Fluid Processing Meetings, devoted to fluid equipment. It was then paired with PCH Meetings, and from 2022 to 2025 with WASTE Meetings, devoted to recycling and waste recovery. For 2026, the site mentions only PCH Meetings. The organiser has highlighted exchanges between these communities, notably on energy sobriety and efficiency.

According to its 2021 brochure, abe emerged from the buyout, by its management, of sector divisions of the companies Adhesion Group and Business Convention International (BCI). It organises business conventions in aeronautics, chemicals, energy and transport, as well as trade shows, including AD2S, devoted to support and services for aeronautics and defence, in Mérignac.

On the press side, the partners listed for 2026 are Production Maintenance, Éléments Industriels, Eureka Flash Info, Actulabo, La Gazette du Laboratoire and the laboratoire.com portal.

On site: what you need to know

The convention takes place at the Double Mixte, 19 avenue Gaston Berger in Villeurbanne, on the Doua scientific campus. Opened in 1988 as the Centre des congrès de Villeurbanne, the venue offers 10,000 sqm of modular space. Before 2024, Intermaintenance was held at the Espace Tête d'Or, also in Villeurbanne (2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023 editions); the 2020 edition, initially planned for the same place, was then presented by the site as being held remotely ("visio rdv"). The Double Mixte has hosted it since 2024.

By tram, lines T1 and T4, direction IUT Feyssine, stop at Gaston Berger; the T1 serves the two railway stations that receive TGV trains. From metro lines A and B, change to the tram at Charpennes; from metro line D, take bus C26 at Grange Blanche. Buses C17 (CNRS stop) and C26 (La Doua stop) also serve the site. Part-Dieu station is about ten minutes away, Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport about twenty. By car, take the Porte de Saint-Clair exit from the A6, or the Croix-Luizet exit (no. 6) from the A46 and A42, then follow signs to the Doua scientific campus.

On Wednesday 25 November, reception opens at 8.00am, meetings and conferences fill the slots from 9.00am to 12.30pm and from 2.00pm to 6.30pm, and a cocktail follows at around 6.30pm. On Thursday 26, the morning runs the same way; the afternoon resumes at 2.00pm and ends at 5.30pm according to the buyers' invitation form, while the website's home page says 6.30pm. Lunch is served on site on both days, with a permanent coffee break.

For accommodation, the organiser has appointed Revolugo as official and exclusive travel agency and recommends booking early. Air France and KLM grant discounts, up to 15% on international routes, for journeys made from 18 November to 3 December 2026.

How much it costs to exhibit

abe publishes its price list in the 2026 supplier order form. Each package with meetings includes a listing in the technical catalogue, a meeting schedule over the two days, access to the conferences, catering (lunches, coffee breaks, cocktail) and the referral invitations:

  • Package 1, no stand: €2,300 excl. VAT for one person, with a table, four chairs, electricity and Wi-Fi, without partitions; the order form describes it as "exceptionnelle" (exceptional).
  • Package 2, 4 sqm stand: €3,200 excl. VAT for one person.
  • Package 3, 6 sqm stand: €3,700 excl. VAT for one person.
  • Package 4, 12 sqm stand: €5,600 excl. VAT for two people, with two tables and eight chairs.

Stands are delivered equipped: spotlight rail, carpet, power socket, Wi-Fi and projecting sign, plus a fascia board for the 12 sqm stand.

Official price list published by abe in the Intermaintenance 2026 supplier order form, amounts excluding VAT. The upper range adds the 12 sqm stand and one unit of each option listed. The exhibiting team's travel and accommodation are not included. This is a theoretical maximum: the additional meeting schedule already includes one additional person.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Choose your package according to the number of people: among the packages with meetings, only the 12 sqm stand includes two participants and allows a second meeting schedule to be added.
  • Fill in the presentation form precisely before 19 October 2026: it feeds the matching with buyers' needs, according to the new classification.
  • Use the referral invitations to bring your own prospects, accommodated at the organiser's expense (outside the European Union, by consultation with the organiser).
  • Consider a conference if you have technical lessons learned to share: it also reaches the participants of PCH Meetings.
  • In the catalogue, request first the buyers whose function matches your offering: the schedule only retains meetings accepted by both sides.
  • To exhibit at both events, the PCH Meetings order form offers a "DUO" package at €6,500 excl. VAT (an 8 sqm stand, i.e. two 4 sqm stands side by side, for two people, with a single meeting schedule covering both events), on top of the €200 excl. VAT registration fee; it belongs to the PCH Meetings price list, not the one shown above.
  • Stand set-up is possible on Tuesday 24 November from 4.00pm to 7.00pm and from 8.00am on Wednesday 25, according to the exhibitors' logistics guide published on the PCH Meetings website (same venue, same organiser).

For the decision-making visitor

  • Register before 16 October 2026 to benefit from one or two free hotel nights and a flat-rate reimbursement of transport, €100 from France and €150 from abroad, on presentation of receipts. Accommodation is reserved for French and European companies; outside the European Union, you need to consult the organiser, including for the transport reimbursement.
  • Make your meeting requests and flag your refusals as soon as the catalogue opens, on 21 October: refusals are only taken into account at this stage. Availability and conference choices are due by 6 November.
  • Arrange a replacement in case you cannot attend: a cancellation less than a month beforehand without a replacement breaches the commitment made.
  • To follow only the conference programme, without a meeting schedule, a paid conference pass is available (€200 to €450 excl. VAT); free registration, by contrast, involves presenting your projects and needs, in the short, medium or long term.

Policy & CSR initiatives

The Intermaintenance website has no section devoted to CSR or sustainability, and no ISO 20121 certification is displayed for the event. Energy is, however, present in the content: the classification includes a heading "Énergie & durabilité" (energy and sustainability: energy optimisation, asset circularity, ISO 50001, ESG indicators), and several conferences in the shared programme address heat recovery, energy management and process decarbonisation. These are programme themes, not commitments by the organiser.

At group level, abe publishes a page "Nos actions RSE" (our CSR actions). On the environmental side, it cites waste sorting internally and at its business conventions, travel by train preferred and going paperless for expense reports and invoices; under suppliers, caterers following a local approach and local suppliers for audiovisual, furniture, security and cleaning; under communication, printing with local providers, eco-design and digital display. On the social side, it mentions hosting work-study students and interns, a partnership with the IPSA engineering school and support for the Fondation Apprentis d'Auteuil. No quantified indicator or carbon footprint accompanies these actions.

The format nonetheless has an emissions item of its own: the organiser offers to host the buyers (reserved for French and European companies; outside the European Union, by consultation, transport reimbursement included) and to reimburse their transport at a flat rate, while the provisional list includes participants from the Maghreb and Switzerland; no communication is made on the footprint of this travel. The venue displays no environmental certification. Its website offers a waste management and recycling service and encourages visitors to come by public transport, bicycle or kick scooter; no indicator is published. A verifiable asset: tram access (T1 and T4, Gaston Berger stop) and the connection to Part-Dieu station.

Trajectory analysis

Intermaintenance came from an organiser's observation: abe had long organised events linked to pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food processing and aeronautics, and these already interested the maintenance world. Decision-makers in the sector were asking, according to the organiser, for a meeting focused on digitalisation, site reorganisation and equipment optimisation. The convention was therefore born attached to others: to Fluid Processing Meetings in 2019, then to PCH Meetings, and to WASTE Meetings from 2022 to 2025.

Three shifts can be read in the archives. First, sector opening: from 2024, the site specifies that Intermaintenance includes buyers from all sectors, beyond pharmaceuticals, chemicals and petrochemicals. Second, the move: after its first editions at the Espace Tête d'Or, the convention joined the Double Mixte in 2024. Third, the repositioning: the 2026 classification puts data, artificial intelligence and OT/IT first, and the provisional list of suppliers, where digital solutions (software, AI, digital twins) are the most numerous, reflects it.

The 2020 edition was first announced at the Espace Tête d'Or with a detailed health protocol, then the site presented it, from 30 October 2020, as "100 % en version digital “visio rdv”" (100% digital); none of the sources consulted publishes a post-event report. More broadly, the absence of any quantified post-event report makes it impossible to measure how the audience has changed. The organiser promotes a human-scale format, and the provisional list of 15 suppliers two months before the 2026 edition fits with this: it is a targeted-prospecting format, not a trade show built on footfall.

The dates of the 2027 edition had not been announced at the time of writing.

Unless a source is stated, all data comes from the organiser's website.

Unless otherwise stated, all factual data in this listing comes from the organiser's official website (intermaintenance.fr).
