Who exhibits

Typical profile

The offering is organised into five thematic areas, identified by a colour code on the site plan and on each stand's signage:

  • Accommodation and structures: mobile homes, chalets, tents, cabins, tipis and unusual accommodation, marquees and tents.
  • Equipment: bedding, green spaces and maintenance equipment, awnings, terraces and pergolas, sanitary facilities, tills, security, lighting, renewable energy, water treatment, heating and air conditioning.
  • Wellbeing, leisure, entertainment: swimming pools, spas and water play areas, outdoor games, sports equipment, bicycles, nature activity offers.
  • CHR (Café, Hotel, Restaurant): hotel equipment, indoor and outdoor furniture, food, tableware, catering and maintenance equipment.
  • Services: banking and financing, insurance, accounting expertise, software, training, recruitment, consultancy, quality labels, federations, trade press.

The trade show occupies 6,500 sq m of covered and outdoor space. The outdoor areas notably feature unusual accommodation, tipis, lodge tents, cabins or domes, which visitors can explore and try out on site.

Notable exhibitors

The 2027 exhibitor list is not yet published: the Exhibitors page shows the 2026 edition's list, filterable by theme, by hall and by participation in the sustainable tourism trail.

Present in 2026 were accommodation manufacturers such as Trigano HPA, Bio Habitat (brands IRM, O'Hara and Coco Sweet) and Hekipia Tiny House, electric vehicle specialist Liberty Electric Motion, Banque Populaire Grand Ouest on the financing side, and the Camping Qualité label. Bio Habitat, Gain, Liberty Electric Motion and Banque Populaire Grand Ouest were also partners of the 2026 gala evening.

Visitor quality

Access is reserved for professionals, on registration approved by the organiser. According to the report published after the 2026 edition, 66% of visitors were campsite managers and 26% were managers of hotels, gîtes, leisure parks or local-authority representatives. 65% came from Brittany, with the next departments being Loire-Atlantique, Finistère, Côtes-d'Armor and Ille-et-Vilaine, behind Morbihan.

The same report records 37% new visitors and 63% returning visitors. These figures come from the organiser's own surveys: no OJS certification or third-party attendance audit is published.

This is openly a regional trade show. Its appeal for a supplier lies in the concentration of decision-makers from independent establishments, who prepare their seasonal investments at a time when delivery lead times still allow it.

Programme & community

Conference programme

The 2027 programme is not yet published: the Programme page shows the 2026 one, and the 2027 presentation pack announces more than 15 workshops and highlights, with a programme described as "still being finalised".

The 2026 edition featured 12 workshops in the workshops and demos area of Hall B. These included: an interview with FNHPA president Nicolas Dayot on industry news; an FNHPA workshop on small campsites; a presentation on outdoor hospitality trades and the new job classification under the collective bargaining agreement; a session by the Camping Qualité label on its new ambitions; a workshop on reducing consumption and reusing water. Exhibitors also presented their solutions there in twenty-minute demonstrations.

For 2027, the presentation pack announces cross-cutting themes on artificial intelligence applied to hospitality and catering, managing new generations, customer experience and sustainable tourism. These themes are still to be confirmed by the final programme.

IODE Night'

The first evening's gala brings exhibitors and visitors together for a dinner and show. In 2026, it moved from the Palais des Arts in Vannes to the Domaine du Mezo, around fifteen minutes from the exhibition centre. Tickets are paid for visitors, €56 excl. VAT in 2026, and the venue for the 2027 edition has not yet been announced.

Community & networks

The trade show displays its motto, "Made by professionals for professionals": its organisers are the regional federations representing campsite operators in the Grand Ouest. The 2027 presentation pack also mentions a partnership with GHR Grand Ouest, RESO France and UMIH, which broadens the target audience to traditional hospitality and catering.

On the partners' side, the homepage notably displays the logos of Booking Experts, Accueillir Magazine, DHPA, Edicamp and Éditions Larivière.

The trade show is active on Facebook and LinkedIn under the hashtag #SalonIODE27.

Preparing your visit

For exhibitors

  • Choose your plot on the interactive site plan as soon as you register: premium plots at the hall entrance are marked and charged at a premium.
  • Decide between indoor and outdoor depending on the product: the outdoor offer, from 12 to 200 sq m, allows you to showcase accommodation that visitors can walk through.
  • If your offer reduces water or energy consumption or waste, or supports low-carbon mobility and biodiversity, apply for the sustainable tourism trail via the registration pack: a marker on the plan and on your signage, and a filter in the exhibitor list.
  • Book a demonstration or workshop slot early: on a trade show of this size, a speaking slot reaches a significant share of visitors.
  • Budget for payment in full on order, as required by the terms and conditions.

For decision-making visitors

  • Register online as soon as ticketing opens, in October: access is approved by the organiser.
  • Bring your seasonal investment plan: this is the moment to compare accommodation, equipment and software in one place.
  • Walk round the outdoor area, where accommodation units are on display to visit.
  • Check the workshop programme, where professional federations speak on regulation and employment.

CSR policy & initiatives

The trade show publishes an eco-responsible approach run jointly by the organisers, the venue and the agency. The text presents it as an ongoing improvement process rather than a set of figures.

On the organisers' side, the federations support their members through the ecological transition, notably under the Plan Camping Durable (Sustainable Campsite Plan) run with Ademe, the French environment and energy management agency. On the trade show floor, this takes the form of the sustainable tourism trail, which identifies exhibitors offering solutions: 42 exhibitors featured in it in 2026, according to the organiser's press release. The trade show also states its intention to feed the Cléo event-performance calculator with its own data.

On the agency's side, Agence Essentiel details its actions: local caterers, reuse of tarpaulins from one edition to the next, reusable cups for exhibitors, donation of carpets after the trade show, encouragement of public transport and car-sharing, and eco-responsibility questions in the exhibitor satisfaction survey.

On the venue's side, Parc des Expositions Le Chorus had its ISO 20121 certification renewed in 2025, following long-standing ISO 14001 certification, according to the trade show's page. The trade show itself does not display its own certification or a published carbon footprint.

Trajectory analysis

IODE is no newcomer. The 2027 presentation pack describes it as the 25th edition of an event "born under the name Campo Ouest", while the website's pages refer to the 7th "modernised edition": the two counts coexist, one running from the original event, the other from the 2020 relaunch.

That relaunch is the real turning point. Campo Ouest, previously held in Nantes, was struggling to attract visitors according to the trade press of the time. For January 2020, the federations changed the event's name and city, handed general commissariat to an events agency and broadened the target audience to hoteliers, leisure parks and local authorities. Since then, published attendance has grown every year: 2,140 visitors in 2024, 2,185 in 2025, 2,447 in 2026. Exhibitor numbers have followed suit, from 210 in 2024 to 222 in 2026, and the trade show extended its opening hours in 2026, closing an hour later on the first day.

The model's limitation is also its strength: a regional trade show, focused on Brittany and its neighbours, which attracted 65% visitors from Brittany in 2026. For a supplier, it offers direct access to independent operators across the Grand Ouest, at a time when they are still deciding on their seasonal purchases.
