Key takeaways

  • The JdC Garden Trends is the professional listing show for the garden sector: manufacturers of goods and plant growers present their collections to purchasing groups and retail chains, just as the distribution trade starts its listings for the following year.
  • Next edition: Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 March 2027, at the Parc Chanot Marseille, Rond-Point du Prado. Opening hours are 11am to 8pm on Tuesday, 8.30am to 7pm on Wednesday and 8.30am to 4pm on Thursday. Buyers will be preparing the 2028 collections.
  • Organiser: ETAI SAS, whose main shareholder is Infopro Digital. Annual frequency, in March. The 2026 edition was the 22nd.
  • Results of the 2026 edition (24 to 26 March): 365 exhibitors and 1,200 buyers from across Europe. In October 2026, five months before opening, the organiser announced more than 300 exhibitors already registered for 2027.
  • Visitor access is strictly reserved for purchasing decision-makers in garden, DIY and home decoration retail, landscapers, pool specialists and local-authority green space departments. Suppliers who are not exhibiting cannot register as visitors.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The offer is organised into six product worlds: Jardiner & Cultiver, Aménager & Construire, Vivre outdoor, Végétal, Maison & Loisirs, and Services pour le retail. The scope runs from powered garden machinery, tools and watering equipment to potting compost, fertilisers and treatments, from fencing, chalets and outdoor flooring to garden furniture, barbecues and swimming pools, as well as craft supplies, seasonal decoration (Christmas, Easter, Halloween) and store equipment.

Exhibitors are manufacturers, importers, agents, distributors or service providers. The show is highly international: the organiser reports that half of its exhibitors are international, and its November 2025 press release named Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal as the main countries of origin, with more than 20 nationalities. It also states that 60% of its exhibitors take part in no other show in Europe.

Plants are the area under development. A plant offer has existed since 2022 (launch of plant pop-ups), became a fourth hub in 2023, then in 2026 the Green Zone, a space devoted to indoor and outdoor plants, with more than 20 growers present that year. For 2027 it is set up right at the entrance of hall 1 and the organiser is aiming for 40 exhibitors, against 20 previously: this is a target, not a result.

Notable exhibitors

The 2027 exhibitor list is online and is completed as registrations come in: it counted 291 companies at the end of October 2026. It includes Husqvarna France, Kärcher, Fiskars France, Einhell France, AL-KO Gardentech, Bahco, Greenworks and Oregon Tool France for tools and garden machinery; Hozelock Exel and Claber for watering; Compo France, Neudorff and Evergreen Garden Care for garden care; Campingaz, Ooni Pizza Ovens and Outdoorchef for outdoor cooking; and Bestway France, Brabantia, Playmobil or Le Parfait for leisure and home. For the Green Zone, Fleuron d'Anjou, Floréac, Romiti Vivai and the Roseraie Laperrière are already on the list.

Visitor quality

The main feature of the show is its filter. Access is reserved for purchasing decision-makers from buying groups and stores: integrated and independent garden centres, GSB, GSA, GSS, LISA, trade merchants, discount, e-commerce and marketplaces, plus landscapers, pool specialists and green space managers from local authorities. Agents, manufacturers, wholesalers and non-exhibiting service providers are not admitted as visitors, nor are minors.

In return, buyers' attendance is largely covered: meals and breaks are included, and overnight stays are offered subject to conditions. In December 2024 the organiser presented the show as a professional event with free access. A VIP International Buyer Programme targets buyers from garden centre and DIY buying groups in the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy, provided their retail brand is in the top 10 in its country, with two nights' accommodation subject to availability.

Volumes have been stable since the restart: nearly 1,300 buyers in 2022, more than 1,250 in 2023, 1,248 in 2024, then 1,200 in 2025 and in 2026. The 2023 results indicated that 75% of buyers represented organised retail. No third-party audit of attendance is published: these are the organiser's figures.

Programme & community

Conference programme

The 2027 programme had not been published when this listing was written. The 2026 one shows the format: three days of conferences in the conference area of hall 1, with an opening conference hosted by Yves Puget, editor-in-chief of LSA, and Hervé Onfray, deputy managing director Garden Centres and Pet Shops at Teract; garden market performance from the Fédération des Jardineries et Animaleries de France; an analysis by NielsenIQ and GfK; a breakdown of online searches by Inoha; a reading of the market review by Les Echos Études for Promojardin-Promanimal; and a talk by Ecomaison on circularity. Replays are available on the programme page.

The recurring highlight is the Trends conference by Manuel Rucar of the Chlorosphère consultancy, extended since 2026 by guided tours of the aisles, announced again for 2027. The "10 produits en 10 minutes" feature gives each exhibitor one minute to present its flagship product.

Garden Collections Awards

Formerly the Prix des Collections Jardin, the Garden Collections Awards submit exhibitors' new products to juries made up of retail chain buyers. The process is fixed: a shortlist of ten products per jury drawn from applications, a closed-door pitch to the jury on Tuesday morning before opening, and a trophy ceremony on Tuesday evening at the show. The selected products are displayed at the entrance of the show, where buyers and journalists vote for the Buyers' Prize and the Media Prize.

The 2027 edition goes to seven juries, against six in 2026: Gamm Vert (Autoproduction au jardin), Leroy Merlin (Jardin responsable), Auchan Retail and Esprit Barbecue (Cuisiner & recevoir), Inedis (Authentique & Pratique), J'DEA (Décoration & Ameublement du jardin Indoor/Outdoor), a trio of independent garden centres, Jardinerie Tarnaise, Jardinerie Boncap and Jardinerie Solignac (Prix des Jardineries Indépendantes), and a new category, La star des plantes, entrusted to Bricomarché, Truffaut and Teract. In 2026, 24 products were distinguished.

Community & networks

The show draws on the Fédération des Jardineries et Animaleries de France, which supports the Green Zone, as well as Inoha, Chlorosphère, the Guide des Consommateurs Jardin and trade titles such as Le Lien Horticole, which are shown among its partners.

On the press side, LSA relays the Awards winners list; a public relations agency was appointed for the 2026 edition.

On site: what you need to know

The show is held at the Parc Chanot Marseille, Rond-Point du Prado, in the 8th arrondissement. The layout announced for 2026 split it between hall 1 (Green Zone, Vivre outdoor with its barbecue aisle, Maison & Loisirs, Services pour le retail), hall 2 (Jardiner & Cultiver) and the outdoor esplanade (Aménager & Construire).

By metro, line 2 links Saint-Charles station directly to the Rond-point du Prado stop in 15 minutes. Paris is about 3h20 away by TGV, and Marseille Provence airport is linked to Saint-Charles station by the A1 shuttle. By car, the venue has 1,880 parking spaces.

Catering, breakfasts, lunches and breaks are offered free of charge to exhibitors and visitors in the venue's village squares. The cloakroom and luggage storage are free, but only cabin-size bags are admitted and nothing may be left in the cloakroom after closing. Exhibitors book their hotel at a negotiated rate from their exhibitor area; visitors can do so once their accreditation is validated.

How much it costs to exhibit

ETAI SAS does not publish any price list online: prices for stands and communication options (catalogue, Garden Collections Awards) are obtained from the sales team. The amounts below are indicative orders of magnitude for a three-day B2B trade show of this size. They are in no way the official rates of the JdC Garden Trends.
Poste de dépenseFourchette basseFourchette haute
Space rental and fit-out of a 12 to 24 sq m stand (on quotation)€4,000€15,000
Transport of collections, samples and display units to Marseille€800€5,000
Accommodation and travel for the sales team (3 days)€1,500€5,000
Visibility options: catalogue, Awards entry, client invitations€500€4,000
INDICATIVE TOTAL (3 days)~€6,800~€29,000

As on-site catering is free for exhibitors during opening hours, the meals line weighs less than elsewhere. The real variable is the floor space and location: a stand in a hall or on the esplanade for outdoor landscaping products. Rates to be requested from the organiser.

Preparing your visit

For exhibitors

  • Think in terms of the listing calendar: buyers come to work on the collections for year N+1, so the 2028 range must be presentable, prices included, by March 2027.
  • Prepare your Garden Collections Awards entry in advance: the shortlist is drawn from applications before the show, and the product must be carried by one person and fit within 1 metre by 1 metre by 1.50 metres high.
  • Set up meetings with the buying groups in advance: the organiser builds tailor-made programmes with the main groups, such as listing committees or retail datings.
  • Invite your own buyer clients by directing them to the accreditation request: as access is filtered, entry is reserved for accredited decision-makers.

For decision-making visitors

  • Request accreditation early: it determines access, the exhibitor platform and hotel booking.
  • Arrive on Tuesday for the Awards ceremony at the end of the day (and for the opening conference if the 2026 format is repeated), then devote Wednesday, the longest day, to supplier meetings.
  • Join a guided trends tour for a first sort of the offer before your meetings.
  • Bring a cabin bag at most, the only size admitted on site.

CSR policy & initiatives

The show publishes a carbon footprint calculator for visitors' travel, linking to the Impact CO2 tool, on its access page. Beyond that, neither the event's website nor its organiser's page presents a formal CSR policy or an ISO 20121 certification specific to the show.

The venue provides a documented guarantee: Marseille events, which manages the Parc Chanot and belongs to the GL events Venues network of sites, is ISO 20121 certified for the management of its spaces and the hosting of events.

On substance, sobriety is an editorial theme of the show: water savings, adaptation to climate change, eco-design rewarded by the Awards, and a talk by Ecomaison on the recycling sector. These are programme content, to be distinguished from a quantified organisational commitment.

Trajectory analysis

The show is more than twenty years old: it was held until 2014 at the Abbaye de Chaalis, north of the Paris region, before moving to the Parc Chanot. After three years of absence linked to the pandemic, the 2022 edition marked the sector's reunion with nearly 1,300 buyers, a year the organiser later described as a record.

Since then, the figures show a plateau rather than growth: 390 exhibitors in 2024, 365 in 2025 and in 2026, and a buyer count down to 1,200. The context weighs on this: according to data presented on the website, the garden market fell in 2025 for the fourth year in a row. The 2025 and 2026 results show exactly the same figures, which suggests reading them as rounded orders of magnitude.

The organiser's response is twofold. First, the European opening, shown with the new graphic identity unveiled in September 2025 for the 2026 edition and with the VIP International Buyer Programme, with an end-of-first-quarter slot that the show presents as unique in Europe. Second, the return of plants, which makes the show a place where manufactured goods and growers meet. For a supplier, the appeal lies less in size than in concentration: the organiser states that 100% of French garden distribution was represented in 2026, across all channels.

Finally, the show differs from the sector's other events in the database: Paysalia is aimed at landscaping and green spaces, and the Salon du Végétal at horticultural production. The JdC Garden Trends remain focused on listings in distribution.
