Key takeaways
- Midi Mat Occitanie is the Toulouse stop of a series of regional trade shows devoted to equipment for construction, transport, industry and the environment: construction machinery, lifting, handling, vehicles, rental, materials and services, with outdoor demonstrations and hands-on trials.
- 2027 edition: Wednesday 31 March and Thursday 1 April 2027, at the Diagora conference and exhibition centre, 150 rue Pierre-Gilles de Gennes in Labège, in the Toulouse conurbation. The official website shows "Toulouse" as the show's city. Open from 9:00am to 10:30pm on Wednesday, late-night opening included, then from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday.
- In 2027, the Salon de l'Artisan is hosted within Midi Mat, at the same site and on the same dates, with a single badge. Midi Mat remains the main show: the Salon de l'Artisan adds building tradespeople and private individuals with renovation projects.
- Organiser: JDL REGIONS, a company of the JDL group. No co-organiser.
- Annual frequency. The 2026 Toulouse edition had been announced at Diagora on 1 and 2 April 2026.
- Free badge and parking. A 9 sq m space costs €500 excl. VAT indoors and €800 excl. VAT outdoors, as a bare space guarded overnight.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The organiser describes a show where national brands, their regional dealers and local players exhibit side by side. The Exhibit page groups the offering into six families: manufacturers and dealers (construction machinery, lifting, handling, working at height, light and heavy vehicles), rental companies and bodybuilders, accessory suppliers and equipment makers (buckets, attachments, parts, tools, PPE, signage), materials and energy (merchants, quarries, recycling), tradespeople and companies of the Salon de l'Artisan, and finally services and training, from financing to federations.
For a manufacturer, the appeal of the format lies in the network: the show presents itself as a tool to activate and retain regional distributors, as close as possible to end users. For a Toulouse dealer or rental company, it is a showcase right next to its customer base.
Notable exhibitors
The 2027 exhibitor catalogue listed no name yet at the time of writing: the page states that exhibitors appear there once their file is validated. No exhibitor list tied to a past Toulouse edition is published on the official website.
Visitor quality
The stated target is equipment users: earthworks contractors, rental companies, hauliers, crane operators, forklift drivers, lifting contractors, mechanics, site managers, logistics managers, recyclers, manufacturers and local authorities. The Salon de l'Artisan adds the finishing and structural trades, from masons to plumbers.
The audience is not exclusively professional. The Practical information page mentions free entry for professionals, but the FAQ on the Visit page states that the show is open to the general public, with some exhibitors reserving their terms for professionals on presentation of proof. Private individuals are expected to submit their renovation projects.
No attendance figure is certified by OJS or a third-party audit, and no Toulouse-specific result is published. The organiser displays orders of magnitude that apply to each of its shows: more than 100 exhibitors and partners, more than 4,000 professional visitors expected. These are targets common to the series, not results measured in Labège.
Events & community
Programme
The 2027 programme is published as indicative, shared by Midi Mat and the Salon de l'Artisan; its final version is emailed to badge holders one week before opening. The announced highlights are as follows.
- The Chantier Démo: machines, aerial platforms and forklifts in action in the outdoor area, with hands-on trials to be booked in the app, supervised by the brand's demonstrator.
- Le Garage: carriers, vans and bodywork, electric and combustion, to try out.
- Les Étiquettes Jaunes: prices reserved for visitors during the show, flagged on the stands.
- The Bourse aux Chantiers: a project owner describes a request, which is passed on to exhibitors in the relevant trade.
- The Job Truck: job offers from exhibitors, job dating, apprenticeship centres and career change.
- The Ring des Artisans: timed challenges in front of the public, qualifying rounds in the morning, final in the afternoon.
- L'Apéro des Pros: on the first evening, during the late-night opening.
At the Village Rénov', twenty-minute talks follow one another each day. The announced topics range from the real cost of electric and hydrogen machinery to the choice between buying, renting and financing a fleet, including lifting and working-at-height safety, recruiting machine operators, e-invoicing and renovation grants for private individuals.
Community & networks
On the professional organisations side, the Partners page lists, for the whole series, FFB Alpes-Maritimes, CAPEB, the Chambre de Métiers et de l'Artisanat PACA and the Renovert network. For the Occitanie stop, Diagora and the Town of Labège appear among the host sites and cities.
The associated media are those of the organising group, Manumag, Le Mille Pattes Magazine and JDL TV, joined by Radio VINCI Autoroutes and the outdoor advertiser Cityz Media. The show also publishes MDM Magazine, distributed at all three of its stops.
In 2027 the Midi Mat series has a stop in Cagnes-sur-Mer, Midi Mat Côte d'Azur, on 19 and 20 March, and a stop in Avignon, Midi Mat Provence, whose dates were still to be announced at the time of writing. The organiser places its Cagnes-sur-Mer and Toulouse stops before Intermat, the major Paris trade show for construction equipment.
On site: what you need to know
The show takes place at Diagora, a conference and exhibition centre in Labège, south-east of Toulouse. Machinery demonstrations take place in an outdoor area, with stands split between indoors and open air.
By car, take the A61, exit 19 Labège, then follow signs to Labège Innopole; parking is free, and the spaces close to the entrances fill up early in the morning. By public transport, the TER serves the Labège-Innopole halt; you can also take metro line B to Ramonville and then a bus. Toulouse-Blagnac airport is 25 km away, about thirty minutes via the ring road. Hotels are in Labège and Toulouse.
Visitor hours: 9:00am to 10:30pm on Wednesday 31 March 2027, then 9:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday 1 April. Exhibitors can access the site from 7:30am; set-up takes place the day before, Tuesday 30 March, from 8:00am to 7:00pm. The free badge is obtained online, avoids the queue at the entrance and gives access to both shows. The site is wheelchair accessible, with reserved parking spaces near the entrances. Catering on site throughout the day and during the late-night opening; only assistance dogs are admitted in the halls.
How much does it cost to exhibit
| Poste de dépense | Fourchette basse | Fourchette haute |
|---|---|---|
| 9 sq m indoor stand, bare space, overnight security, catalogue listing, Bourse aux Chantiers, badges and communication kit (official price) | €500 excl. VAT | €500 excl. VAT |
| 9 sq m outdoor stand, bare open-air space, next to the Chantier Démo, modules can be placed side by side (official price) | €800 excl. VAT | €800 excl. VAT |
| 9 sq m indoor stand with the 3-show Pass, 15% discount (calculated on the official price) | €425 excl. VAT | €425 excl. VAT |
Paid options to add when booking: electricity, tent, furniture, carpet, signage. Published discounts: 15% when the three shows are booked at once, 10% until 15 December. A 30% deposit is due at booking, the balance 60 days before the show; at 60 days or less before the show, the full price is due in case of cancellation.
The entry price is the organiser's central argument: it compares it with more than €10,000 for a pre-fitted 9 sq m stand at certain national trade shows in the sector, in Paris, without hotel or machinery transport. The comparison is the organiser's own and sets a guarded bare space against a pre-fitted stand, two services of a different nature. Booking is done online in four steps: choice of show and space on the plan, addition of options, a contract sent within 24 working hours, then preparation in the exhibitor area. Details on the Exhibit page.
Planning your visit
For exhibitors
- Choose between indoor and outdoor: the outdoor area, more expensive, adjoins the Chantier Démo and lets you have your machines tried.
- Book before 15 December for the 10% discount; a network also present on the Côte d'Azur and in Provence should look at the 3-show Pass.
- Declare an Étiquette Jaune offer and your brands in the exhibitor area to appear in the catalogue.
- Fill in your trade and area of operation to receive Bourse aux Chantiers projects, included in the stand price.
- Plan set-up on Tuesday 30 March and a team present until 10:30pm on Wednesday.
For decision-maker visitors
- Take your badge online and book your trial slots in the app before coming.
- Arrive at opening on Wednesday for the Étiquettes Jaunes, which the organiser says go in the morning.
- Use the Wednesday late-night opening to come after your working day.
- Pit manufacturers, dealers and rental companies against each other on a single site before renewing a fleet.
CSR policy & initiatives
Transition features in the content: an Innovations and energy theme devoted to electric and hydrogen equipment and data, electric vehicles to try at Le Garage, and a talk on the real cost of electric and hydrogen machinery in the face of low-emission zones. The January 2026 press release also mentioned recycling, controlled demolition and the circular economy.
These are programme themes, not commitments of the organisation. At the time of writing, neither the Midi Mat website nor that of the JDL group published a CSR policy, a carbon footprint or an ISO 20121 certification for the event.
The organiser emphasises proximity ("Sans faire 800 kilomètres", that is, "without travelling 800 kilometres"), without linking it to a carbon footprint. The Labège-Innopole TER halt offers an alternative to the car.

Trajectory analysis
Midi Mat was born on the Côte d'Azur in 2024 and then extended to the rest of the South of France. Occitanie appears in the series' communication from the summer of 2025, and the January 2026 press release gives the only earlier Toulouse edition documented on the official website: Diagora, 1 and 2 April 2026. No figures for that edition have been published there: the Toulouse stop therefore has no public point of comparison yet.
The 2027 calendar is close to the one announced for 2026: late March and early April, at Diagora, on weekdays. The notable change is the arrival of the Salon de l'Artisan, which widens the audience to building tradespeople and their customers. For an equipment exhibitor, this means more footfall in the aisles, but a less homogeneous public than a show reserved for civil engineering companies.
The organiser announces three stops in 2027. In 2026, its press release also listed three, with Martigues for Provence; in 2027, the Provence stop moves to Avignon.
The dates of the 2028 edition had not been announced at the time of writing.
