Key points

  • Pépites & Papilles is a new trade show for professional buyers in souvenirs, gifts and lifestyle products. It targets buyers for tourist and independent shops: souvenir shops, concept stores, delicatessens, museum shops, bookshops and tourist offices.
  • First edition in Bordeaux: Sunday 10 January 2027 from 9am to 6pm and Monday 11 January 2027 from 9am to 5pm, at the Hangar 14, 115 quai des Chartrons.
  • Free admission, restricted to professionals, by prior registration and after validation by the organiser.
  • Organiser: Essentiel, a communications and events agency based in Acigné, near Rennes. No co-organiser. Frequency not announced: this is a first edition.
  • The show holds a second leg in Rennes on 7 and 8 February 2027, at the Parc Expo Rennes, hall 10A. The two legs share the concept and the pricing conditions, but they are two separate trade shows: this listing covers Bordeaux only.
  • Format announced for each edition: 80 exhibitors, 2,000 professional visitors, 3,000 m² of exhibition space, 8 workshops and an afterwork evening. These are targets: no edition has taken place yet.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The offer is organised into five universes, flagged by a colour code on the floor plan and on each stand's signage:

  • Destination & Souvenirs: souvenirs, regional non-food products, destination items, local creations, personalised objects.
  • Saveurs & Papilles: gourmet gifts, regional delicatessen, long-life sweet and savoury products, tasting boxes.
  • Art de vivre & Décoration: decor and lifestyle, household linen, scents and candles, design objects, handcrafted creations.
  • Mode & Accessoires: clothing, designer jewellery, small leather goods, eyewear, hats and accessories.
  • Cadeaux & Concepts: stationery and illustration, games and toys, design gadgets, trend objects, seasonal products.

The typical exhibitor is a brand, a designer or a producer looking to widen its distribution network in the West of France, an aim the organiser states (Why exhibit page: “to extend their distribution network”). The organiser stresses the format: a human-scale show, limited to 80 exhibitors, with free choice of location on the floor plan.

Notable exhibitors

The Bordeaux exhibitors page is already open and explicitly tied to the 10 and 11 January 2027 edition. On 10 October 2026, it listed twenty-one companies, including Le Bouchon de Bordeaux, based in Bruges in the Gironde, the Créart brand from Eysines, Fonderie St Luc, the Spanish company Magnet Girona 2020, Biscuiterie Atelier D from Lorient, Cosmétiques de Quiberon and Thés & Infusions Baronny's from Lesneven. The table of booked stands published on the booking page counted 33 on the same date, from 6 to 36 m², one of them agreed in principle.

One feature stands out from the addresses: seven of the twenty-one listed companies are from Brittany and only two from the Gironde, a split consistent with the organiser's base near Rennes. For a buyer from the South-West, this is probably a chance to discover suppliers they do not meet locally; the table of bookings and the exhibitor list fill up as bookings come in.

Visitor quality

The organiser targets professional buyers who come to source products for their points of sale: souvenir shops, museum and monument shops, tourist offices, seaside resort shops, independent retailers, concept stores, leisure parks, zoos and aquariums, tourist accommodation such as campsites and holiday villages, delicatessens, garden centres, bookshops, and regional distributors and wholesalers.

Entry is filtered: registration is validated by the organiser, and the badge is sent by email after validation. The presentation brochure announces nearly 2,000 professional visitors at each edition. This is a target for a first edition, not a result: it will need to be checked against the figures published after the show. To reach it, the organiser announces a communication plan including 10,000 mailings of letters and invitations to tourism professionals and email campaigns to 20,000 targeted contacts.

Activities & community

Conference programme

No conference series is announced: the show highlights a workshop area at the heart of the show. Four themes are announced: communication and social media, merchandising and customer experience, trends and inspiration, digital and business development. The presentation brochure provides for eight per edition. The detailed programme had not been published on 10 October 2026: the programme page states that it is under construction.

Exhibitor hospitality

The show announces dedicated attentions for its exhibitors: a permanent break during set-up, a welcome coffee served every morning at the stands, a VIP area open for the whole duration of the show and an afterwork evening on the first day, Sunday 10 January from 6pm to 8pm.

Community & social media

Essentiel organises other trade shows in the West of France, including IODE, dedicated to tourism, hospitality and outdoor leisure in the Grand Ouest. The show is present on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.

On the press side, a dedicated space lets journalists request visuals and partnerships; the page showed no press release or media partner published on 10 October 2026.

On site: what you need to know

The show takes place at the Hangar 14, 115 quai des Chartrons, on the banks of the Garonne. By tram, line B, Cours du Médoc stop. By car, exits 4, 4a and 4b of the ring road. The Practical information page announces free parking on site, but the parking booking page specifies that the Hangar 14 car park is reserved for set-up and dismantling and for a few vans by reservation; the organiser recommends the Hangar 15 BORD'EAU Village car park, at 114 quai des Chartrons, opposite the show, with a preferential rate of €20 excl. VAT per 24 hours for exhibitors. Bordeaux-Mérignac airport is 30 minutes away by car, one hour by public transport.

Opening hours: Sunday 10 January 2027 from 9am to 6pm, Monday 11 January 2027 from 9am to 5pm.

Visitor registration is done online on the official website; on 10 October 2026, the form was not yet open. Published contacts: contact@salon-pepitesetpapilles.com for visitors, commercial@salon-pepitesetpapilles.com for exhibitors and partners.

How much does it cost to exhibit

The organiser publishes its price list in the 2027 presentation brochure, identical for Bordeaux and Rennes: equipped stand at €170 excl. VAT per m² from 6 m², €155 excl. VAT per m² above 36 m². A 6 m² stand comes to €1,160 excl. VAT, registration fee included. A sponsorship offer waives the registration fee for the sponsor and the sponsored company, a discount of €140 each. The duo offer grants 20% off the per-m² price of the second edition booked, applied to the cheaper of the two participations.

The first two lines reproduce the official 2027 price list (the 12 m² line is a calculation based on the published price per m², registration fee of €140 included). The following lines are indicative orders of magnitude for an exhibitor coming from another region: they are not the organiser’s prices.
Poste de dépenseFourchette basseFourchette haute
Equipped 6 m² stand, registration fee included (official price)€1,160 excl. VAT€1,160 excl. VAT
Equipped 12 m² stand, registration fee included (calculated from the official price list)€2,180 excl. VAT€2,180 excl. VAT
Transport of collections and point-of-sale material (indicative)€200€1,000
Accommodation and meals, 2 people, 2 to 3 nights (indicative)€500€1,200
Samples, catalogues and order materials (indicative)€150€800
INDICATIVE TOTAL, 6 m² stand~€2,000~€4,200
INDICATIVE TOTAL, 12 m² stand~€3,000~€5,200

The stand remains the biggest item, but for a small manufacturer travelling a long way, travel and accommodation weigh almost as much. The duo offer changes the calculation for anyone aiming at the whole West: the discount applies to the per-m² price of the cheaper participation.

Preparing your visit

For exhibitors

  • Book early on the interactive plan: the location is freely chosen among the stands still available, and 33 stands were already in the booking table on 10 October 2026, one of them agreed in principle.
  • Weigh Bordeaux alone against the duo offer with Rennes, which takes place a month later and for which booking was not yet open on the same date.
  • Follow the publication of the workshop programme, announced as under construction on 10 October 2026.
  • Prepare first-order terms: buyers are expected to source products and new items.
  • Use the communication tools provided to exhibitors (visuals, email signature, invitations) to bring your own customers.

For decision-maker visitors

  • Register as soon as the form opens: admission is free but subject to validation.
  • Identify exhibitors by universe on the exhibitors page, which fills up as bookings come in.
  • Plan for Sunday for the afterwork (6pm to 8pm); workshops are announced over both days, and their programme has not yet been published.

CSR policy & initiatives

The show’s website does not publish a page on sustainability, nor a carbon assessment or ISO 20121 certification for the event.

The documented commitment is the organiser’s. On its Commitments page, the Essentiel agency states that it has been engaged in a CSR approach since 2008: local suppliers, waste sorting and a composter at the agency, optimised travel, recycled materials and labelled paper, skills-based sponsorship since 2015. It also displays expertise in responsible communication, based on the eco-design of materials.

As for the venue, the show’s website documents no environmental approach specific to the Hangar 14. The choice of regional products and local creations, highlighted by the show’s universes, is part of the commercial positioning rather than a quantified commitment.

Trajectory analysis

There is no trajectory yet: Bordeaux hosts the very first edition, and Rennes follows a month later. The bet is a regional souvenir and gift trade show, as close as possible to the shops it wants to serve. The organiser sums it up with a phrase displayed on its Why exhibit page: “The first professional meeting of the year for the South-West”.

Three design choices deserve attention. First, the calendar: early January, a Sunday and a Monday, at the very start of the year. Next, the capacity: 80 exhibitors announced, a deliberately limited format. Finally, the network: two legs, Bordeaux for the South-West and Rennes for Brittany, Normandy and the Pays de la Loire, with a duo offer that pushes exhibitors to do both.

The first real figures, validated visitors and exhibitors present, will only be known after 11 January 2027. No second Bordeaux edition had been announced at the time of writing.

All data that does not mention its source comes from the organiser’s website.
