Key takeaways
- 2027 edition of the Salon Mondial du Tourisme, from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 March 2027 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

- Review of the 2026 edition (49th edition, 12 to 15 March 2026): 73,330 visitors, a level on a par with 2025, more than 200 exhibitors and around 400 destinations represented. A quarter of exhibitors were taking part for the first time.

- Trade show led by Christel Marzullo, director of Comexposium's Tourism Shows (Tourissima Lille, Mahana Lyon, Salon Mondial du Tourisme Paris, Destinations Nature), with 20 years in the group.
- France's leading consumer tourism trade show, created in 1978 by the ASMT (Association du Salon Mondial du Tourisme), itself founded in 1973 by Adonet, the FFTST and Les Entreprises du Voyage.

Activities and community
The 2027 programme
The Travel Business Hub is, to date, the only new feature announced by the organiser for the 2027 edition: a two-day B2B space designed to build networks, create partnerships and prepare for upcoming seasons. The visit routes, activities and conferences for the 2027 edition have not yet been revealed, and the official site still displays the 2026 programme.
World Dance and Music Festival
Launched in 2026, this festival dedicated to world dance and music programmed more than 20 troupes across the four days. An unprecedented format at the time, designed to give the trade show an experiential dimension, beyond the strictly exhibitor / visitor encounter. Its return for 2027 has not been announced to date.
Content creators and travel influencers
Around 20 content creators and specialist travel influencers took part in the 2026 edition (talks, signings, workshops), in a space called Le coin des Globe Trotteurs, with no appointment needed. An audience lever for destinations looking to reach the 25-45 age group outside traditional media.
Exhibitions and workshops
Three major exhibitions in 2026: travel photography, indigenous peoples, film destinations. The photography space was devoted to the exhibition HOMMAGE by Franck Desplanques. The programme of Asian cultural workshops was calibrated to the peak of interest among Île-de-France residents in Asia (28% of visitors were considering an Asian destination).
Professional conferences
In 2026, a day dedicated to tourism industry professionals was held on the Thursday, opening the trade show: conferences covering market trends, CSR challenges and travellers' new expectations. A new professional feature is announced for 2027: the Travel Business Hub (see above), a separate two-day B2B space. The official site does not specify whether the Thursday professional day, as organised in 2026, is being continued in this form for 2027.
Responsible Tourism Awards
Third edition of the Trophées Tourisme Responsable (Responsible Tourism Awards) at the trade show in 2026. They reward tourism players who structure a measurable sustainable approach. Of note: the Trophées Horizons ATD (Acteurs du Tourisme Durable) are awarded off-site, in June, at the Auberge Yves Robert in the 18th arrondissement of Paris.

Trajectory analysis
The Salon Mondial du Tourisme has established itself over the long term as France's leading consumer tourism event since 1978. The 2026 attendance (73,330 visitors) stayed level with 2025, a sign of a mature format that has found its balance between supply (more than 200 exhibitors, around 400 destinations) and Île-de-France demand (97% intention to travel, average budget above €2,000). Five levers shape its recent evolution:
- Addition of a B2B highlight in 2027 with the Travel Business Hub, a two-day professional networking space, complementing the consumer programme.
- Redesign of the visual identity for 2027, presented by the organiser as a new chapter after half a century in existence.
- Broadening of the experiential offer with the 2026 launch of the World Dance and Music Festival and the growing role of content creators, in order to stay relevant to audiences who increasingly consume travel through social media.
- Scaling up of CSR with the 3rd edition of the Trophées Tourisme Responsable in 2026, the Sustainable Initiatives Village, the Tourisme & Handicaps partnership and the Secours Populaire partnership, which anchor the trade show in a measurable sustainable approach.
- Integration into a national Comexposium Tourism network (Tourissima Lille in late January, Mondial du Tourisme and Destinations Nature in Paris in March, Mahana Lyon), all led by Christel Marzullo, which allows destinations to pool their presence across several visitor catchment areas throughout the year.
The trade show retains a unique positioning: entry-level consumer pricing, a strong presence of institutional French and foreign tourist offices, and a four-day format that covers a full weekend. In 2027, it is held on the same dates and at the same venue as Destinations Nature, which mechanically broadens the audience reachable from a stand.
