Key takeaways
- SEPEM Martigues is the South-East leg of SEPEM Industries, the network of regional trade shows for industrial services, equipment, process and maintenance. Over two days, it puts the maintenance, process, safety and sustainable production offer in front of the industrial sites of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
- Next edition: the 10th in the South-East and the third in Martigues, on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 June 2027 at La Halle de Martigues. Open 9am-6pm on Tuesday and 9am-5pm on Wednesday. The format drops to two days, against three in 2025.
- Organiser: GL events Exhibitions Industrie, a company of the GL events group that organises the whole SEPEM network. No co-organiser.
- Frequency: every two years since the move to Martigues (2023, 2025, 2027). SEPEM South-East was previously held in Avignon.
- Results of the 3-5 June 2025 edition: 235 exhibitors over 3,600 m², 2,536 industry professionals present (an attendance record according to the organiser), 40% of exhibitors from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA) region, more than 50 novelties presented as exclusives, 22 conferences and round tables, 95% of visitors satisfied.
- Entry, parking and catalogue are free. Visitor registration for 2027 had not yet opened at the time of writing.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The offer is that of the SEPEM network, organised into broad families: automation and mechatronics, inspection, measurement, regulation, instrumentation and industrial vision, workshop machinery and machine tools, digital, electronics, energy and sustainable production, industrial supplies, maintenance and computerised maintenance management (CMMS), handling and logistics, robotics, safety and protection, business services and facilities fit-out, industrial subcontracting and 3D printing. Exhibitors are start-ups, manufacturers, distributors, subcontractors and large groups.
The show puts forward two principles, common to the whole SEPEM network. First, a local offer: the 2027 home page announces that at least 40% of the exhibiting offer comes from the region, and the 2025 report shows 40% of exhibitors from the PACA region. Second, working machines on the stands: assembly, lifting, conveying, robots, cobots, measurement and inspection, cutting.
Notable exhibitors
The official list remains that of the 2025 edition until the 2027 list is published: SEPEM Martigues 2025 exhibitor list. It notably included Bosch Rexroth, Emerson, Danfoss, Kaeser Compresseurs, Hydac, NTN, Pepperl+Fuchs, Klüber Lubrication, Fluke Reliability, Samson, Verlinde, Rubix and Stratasys, alongside energy and service players such as EDF solutions solaires and Altrad Endel, and technical centres such as Cetim. No exhibitor has yet been announced for 2027.
Visitor quality
The 2025 report describes a local visitor base: 64% of visitors come from Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and 14% from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. More than 80% come from industrial manufacturers, subcontractors, machine builders, design offices or technical centres, and 60% work in management, maintenance, design office and purchasing functions. Five industries account for 55% of visitors: metallurgy and steelmaking, industrial mechanics, oil and petrochemicals, construction and structural steelwork, electronics and IT. By size, the largest group is companies of 1 to 9 employees (30%), ahead of 50 to 199 employees (20%), 20 to 49 employees (19%), 200 to 999 employees (17%) and 10 to 19 employees (14%).
The organiser cites among its visitors Air Liquide France Industrie, Airbus Helicopters, ArcelorMittal Méditerranée, Kem One, LyondellBasell, Naphtachimie, Petroineos, TotalEnergies Raffinage France, Sanofi Chimie, Naval Group, TechnicAtome and Thales DMS France. Several of these groups (TotalEnergies, ArcelorMittal, Kem One, LyondellBasell) are among the players the 2025 report cites for the production basin of Fos-sur-Mer, Berre-l'Étang and Port-de-Bouc; the list also covers the naval and aerospace sectors.
No OJS certification or third-party audit of attendance is published: the figures are those of the organiser's report.
Programme & community
Conference programme
The 2025 edition had 22 conferences and round tables, with 56 speakers and 322 listeners, free to attend in the heart of the show. The report highlights four strong themes: decarbonisation, maintenance, naval defence and artificial intelligence. Sessions included: "Naval Defence, Innovation and Sovereignty: overview of an industry organising itself to stay at the cutting edge", "Decarbonisation for industrial SMEs: understanding and acting", "Private 5G, accelerator of industrial digital transformation" and "Women and industry: setting course for maintenance!" (titles translated from the French programme). Afim and the Mediterranean Maintenance Forum presented their work there.
Two practical formats complemented the conferences. The EMC2 cluster ran a free one-day training course, by registration, limited to 20 places and full, on the sustainable management of industrial assets, leading to the European Sustainable Asset Management Leader certification. OPCO 2i offered self-diagnosis workshops on maturity in ecological transition and decarbonisation.
For 2027, the home page mentions free round tables and conferences on maintenance 4.0, artificial intelligence and decarbonisation. The detailed programme had not been published at the time of writing.
Awards
In 2025, the SEPEM Trophies rewarded exhibitors engaged in innovative, responsible or digital initiatives, with entries assessed by a jury of experts from industry, research, regional institutions and the specialist press. 35 nominees competed and three winners were awarded on Tuesday 3 June: Locabri for its thermally protected double roof (Sustainable Innovation Prize, "Prix de l'Innovation Durable"), Iosya for its conversational assistants platform Upgraide.me (Digital Transformation Prize, "Prix de la Transformation Numérique") and elmy for its CSR approach (Social and Societal Commitment Prize, "Prix de l'Engagement Social et Sociétal"). For 2027, the home page presents the Trophies as rewarding the innovative and responsible initiatives of industrial companies; the rules and application calendar had not been published at the time of writing.
Employment and training: SEPEM Avenir
The SEPEM Avenir area brings industry careers into contact with young people and jobseekers. In 2025, it notably brought together OPCO 2i and its virtual reality headsets, GEIQ Mer and its electric boat simulator, the UIMM and its welding simulator, the CNAM, the Campus des métiers et des qualifications Industrie du Futur, France Travail, the Mission locale de Martigues, the La Facto! collective and the Lycée Jean Moulin in Port-de-Bouc; the presentation page also announced the Fédération de la Chimie. Results: 280 job offers posted, 85 jobseekers and 83 young people welcomed.
Community & networks
The partners page for the 2025 edition shows support from the CCI Aix-Marseille-Provence (chamber of commerce and industry) and the DREETS, as well as, according to the report, the Capenergies and Pôle Mer Méditerranée competitiveness clusters. The inauguration of the 2025 edition brought together the City of Martigues, the CCI, the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis and the Club OPen. On the media side, the report records 137 press mentions, in La Provence, Le Méridional, L'Usine Nouvelle, Machines Production or Production Maintenance, and a live broadcast from radio Maritima on 3 June.
SEPEM Martigues is one of the seven regional legs of the network, alongside SEPEM Toulouse, SEPEM Grenoble, SEPEM Rouen, SEPEM Colmar, SEPEM Angers and SEPEM Douai, complemented in 2026 by a new destination, Brest, on 2 and 3 June. The GL events group presents this network as the regional counterpart of Global Industrie, its trade show with an international remit.

Preparing your visit
For exhibitors
- Plan around two days: the 2027 format removes one day compared with 2025, which concentrates appointments and makes targeted invitations to clients in the catchment area more decisive.
- Bring a working machine or a demonstration: it is one of the arguments put forward by the show, and a way to stand out among exhibitors of whom the organiser announces at least 40% are from the region.
- Present a novelty: the 2025 report listed more than 50 exclusives, and the 2027 home page presents the SEPEM Trophies as rewarding the innovative and responsible initiatives of industrial companies; their rules had not been published at the time of writing.
- Target the management, maintenance, design office and purchasing functions, which account for 60% of the 2025 report's visitors, in a local visitor base (64% from Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur) where companies of 1 to 9 employees form the largest size band (30%).
- Ask the organiser about the programming: the 2025 conferences were organised and hosted by partners and no application procedure is published; decarbonisation, maintenance 4.0 and artificial intelligence are the themes mentioned on the 2027 home page.
For decision-making visitors
- Register as soon as the free badge opens; it was not yet available at the time of writing.
- Prepare your visit with the exhibitor list on the official website: the one shown there is that of the 2025 edition.
- Look in the programme, as soon as it is published, for the free-access conferences.
- Take advantage of the Halle's free car park and allow for Wednesday, which closes at 5pm.
CSR policy & initiatives
The SEPEM Martigues website has no commitments or sustainable development section, and no carbon footprint for the event is published. Decarbonisation is very present there, but as content: a conference theme, training in sustainable asset management with the EMC2 cluster, self-diagnosis workshops from OPCO 2i, the Sustainable Innovation Prize of the Trophies. This is programming, not a quantified commitment by the organiser on the show's footprint. The 2023 report nevertheless describes a CSR approach by the organiser for that edition: eco-certified printing (recyclable paper from sustainably managed forests, vegetable ink), plastic badge holders removed, lanyards made of RPET (recyclable and recycled), most of the reception structures reused, lighting optimised during set-up and closing hours, aisle carpets removed and stand and common-area carpets recycled. The 2025 report does not repeat the list.
The best-documented commitment sits at group level. GL events publishes a CSR strategy in three acts, Planet, People and Communities. Its 2024 highlights: carbon footprint down 4% per euro of revenue, energy consumption down 6% over one year, 75% renewable electricity at group level and 100% at its French sites, 46% waste sorting rate. The group has 40 ISO 20121-certified entities, including all of its event sites in France, and in 2022 signed a green growth commitment with UNIMEV and the public authorities.
No ISO 20121 certification specific to SEPEM Martigues or to GL events Exhibitions Industrie is displayed. Nor does the venue provide a documented guarantee: the website of La Halle de Martigues, published by the town hall, presents neither an environmental approach nor a certification.

Trajectory analysis
SEPEM South-East changed territory along the way. In Avignon, it targeted a wide catchment area, from the PACA region to northern Occitanie and the Rhône valley, and exceeded 3,600 visitors there in both 2017 and 2018. After a 7th edition announced in Avignon for autumn 2020, the 8th was planned there for September 2022; it was finally moved to Martigues, in June 2023. The show then restarted on a narrower base, 210 exhibitors and 2,159 visitors, but close to the Étang de Berre and the industrial zones of the area, as the 2023 report describes it.
The second edition in Martigues confirmed the bet: 235 exhibitors, 12% more, and 2,536 industry professionals present, around 17% more than the 2,159 visitors of 2023 (the two reports do not use the same term), with the exhibition area raised to 3,600 m² whereas 2,600 m² had been announced before opening. Attendance remains below that of the Avignon era, but the show now addresses a local visitor base (64% from Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur in 2025), in contact with the production basin of Fos-sur-Mer, Berre-l'Étang and Port-de-Bouc described in the report, with five industries accounting for 55% of visitors: metallurgy and steelmaking, industrial mechanics, oil and petrochemicals, construction and structural steelwork, electronics and IT.
2027 introduces a break in format: two days instead of three, in June, as with the new destination of Brest in 2026. In January 2025, the magazine Mesures reported that the organiser would launch, from June 2026, an annual two-day event in a different city each year, starting with Brest, with the location for June 2027 to be announced during the year. The official website now shows Martigues on 8 and 9 June 2027, which it numbers as the 10th South-East edition and the third in Martigues, and a "Nouvelle Destination" (new destination) in 2028 with no further detail. For exhibitors, the practical consequence is simple: one day less to meet a visitor base that has been growing since the arrival in Martigues.
The dates of the following edition had not been announced at the time of writing.
