Agoris analysis · updated November 2026

Key takeaways

  • Signal Week is the new name for Paris Blockchain Week, Europe's leading event for digital assets. The switch is announced verbatim on the legacy website, "Paris Blockchain Week Is Now Signal Week", positioning the event as an institutional summit: "The Bridge Between TradFi & Digital Assets".
  • Organiser: Chain of Events, a company registered in Paris under number 845 248 905, which also runs RAISE Summit. Since the announcement on 20 July 2026, Signal Week, RAISE Summit and MACHINA Summit have joined the British B2B events group Hyve.
  • Next edition: Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 July 2027, at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, 2 place de la Porte Maillot, 75017 Paris. A double change: the venue, after four consecutive editions at the Carrousel du Louvre from 2023 to 2026, and the season, moving from April to July.
  • Results of the last edition under the Paris Blockchain Week name (2026, 7th, 15 and 16 April at the Carrousel du Louvre): more than 10,000 attendees from over 100 countries, more than 320 speakers and 400 sponsors, figures published on 20 July 2026.
  • This is not a stand-based trade show: two days of conferences, closed-door summits, a startup competition and a VIP dinner, with an exhibition area alongside. The standard ticket gives access to this area and to the stages, not to a stand.
  • A first co-location in 2027: RAISE Summit, the same organiser's artificial intelligence summit, runs from 6 to 8 July 2027 at the same Palais des Congrès. The two events, previously separate on the calendar, overlap for the first time.
  • A very senior audience: more than 70% of attendees hold a general management role or have investment decision-making power.

Who attends

Typical profile

The audience splits into four groups that overlap little. First, traditional finance: banks, asset managers, custodians, market operators, finance departments of listed companies, for whom the organiser has run a dedicated programme for the past two editions, the Institutional Days, built around three themes labelled "Bitcoin Treasury", "Stablecoins & Payments Infrastructure" and "Investing at Institutional Scale".

Next, digital-asset native players: exchange platforms, stablecoin issuers, protocol foundations, custody and settlement specialists. Then the public and regulatory sphere. Finally, investors and startups: venture capital funds, family offices and startups competing in Start in Block.

The format does not serve high-volume prospecting, but the search for a small number of senior contacts, in a market where access to financial institution leadership is otherwise hard to obtain.

Notable sponsors and exhibitors

The organiser does not publish a list of exhibitors: commercial presence takes the form of a partnership, and partners are listed on the sponsors page of the official website, which cites among past and present sponsors Ripple, Stellar, Solana Foundation, ByBit, OKX, Galaxy, Gemini, Circle, Sui Foundation, Cardano and Crypto.com, for a stated total of more than 400 sponsors and partners.

On the speaker side, the 2026 programme gives a sense of the level reached: Jeremy Allaire, co-founder and CEO of Circle, Adam Back, co-founder and CEO of Blockstream, Monica Long, President of Ripple, David Ripley, co-CEO of Kraken, Eric Anziani, President and COO of Crypto.com, Stani Kulechov, founder of Aave Labs, Tim Draper, Charles Hoskinson, Silvio Micali, economist Nouriel Roubini and Clara Chappaz, former French Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Affairs. These names are from 2026, as the 2027 programme has not been published.

Visitor quality

This is the event's central selling point, and it is backed by figures: more than 70% executives or investment decision-makers, more than 400 global financial institutions on site, a cumulative total of more than $50 trillion in assets under management represented, and 97.4% satisfaction with networking quality at the end of the 2025 edition. The intensity of meetings is measured within the app: 36,000 meetings arranged in 2025, more than 53,000 in 2026.

No OJS certification or third-party attendance audit exists: the published figures are the organiser's own.

Programme & community

Conference programme

Content is the event's core substance, not an accompaniment to the exhibition. The 2026 edition was built around the Institutional Days, covering real-world asset tokenisation, bitcoin treasury, stablecoins as cross-border payment rails, institutional custody, and a comparison of regulatory frameworks, MiCA on the European side and US policy on the American side. Added to this is the CXO Summit, a closed, invitation-only programme for financial institution leaders, organised as round tables whose official titles are "The Future of Payments", "The Future of Treasury Management", "Regulation & Public Sector Leadership" and "Exclusive Exchange Listing Opportunity". The detailed 2027 programme had not been published at the time of writing.

Awards

The startup competition is called "Start in Block". It runs as separately funded thematic tracks: for 2026, "Institutional Adoption", for startups bridging traditional institutions and digital assets, with €70,000 in prizes; "DeFAI", at the crossroads of decentralised finance and artificial intelligence, with €100,000 in prizes; and the "Bittensor Track", with €100,000 in prizes. The main 2026 prize is a direct listing offered to the winner by the Bit2Me platform. The organiser states a cumulative total of more than $10 million, combining prizes, grants and credits, and more than 1,000 applications.

The "Paris Blockchain Week Awards", launched in 2023, do not appear in the published 2026 programme.

Community & networks

Networking is well supported: the official app offers an attendee directory, one-to-one meeting booking and an automated matchmaking engine, with access depending on ticket type. Around this gravitate a hackathon, official side events and a VIP dinner, held at the Château de Versailles in 2026. The 2027 edition adds a new element called "Signal House".

On the press side, coverage is a stated selling point: more than 360 accredited journalists at the last edition, cumulative media reach above 748 million, and Bloomberg, Forbes, Bankless and CoinMarketCap cited among the outlets present. Accreditation is free for journalists from recognised publications, podcasters and video creators with an established audience, and independents.

On the Paris calendar, the event is not to be confused with any of its neighbours: VivaTech is a general-purpose technology event held in June and Big Data & AI Paris covers enterprise data, whereas Signal Week stays focused on digital assets and institutional finance.

On site: what you need to know

The 2027 edition moves from the Carrousel du Louvre to the Palais des Congrès de Paris, 2 place de la Porte Maillot, 75017 Paris. For detailed access, parking and services, see the venue listing. In brief: metro line 1 Porte Maillot exit 3, RER C and E Neuilly-Porte Maillot, tramway T3b Porte Maillot, buses 43, 73, 82, 244 and PC, and full accessibility for people with reduced mobility. Opening hours for the 2027 edition had not been published at the time of writing.

Two points are worth planning for. First, visas: the organiser issues official invitation letters, reserved for holders of an already confirmed ticket, which means buying early if travelling from afar. Second, accommodation and travel: for 2026, the organiser had negotiated a room allocation with the InterContinental Paris Le Grand, the official partner hotel, and a 10% discount on Air France and KLM flights to Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle. These arrangements are renegotiated for each edition, and the move from the Louvre to Porte Maillot makes a new hotel partner likely.

No stand pricing is published: commercial visibility comes through a partnership, broken down into seven packages for 2027 (main conference, VIP dinner, Start in Block, hackathon, networking areas, official side events, Signal House), all on quotation. To be rechecked on signalweek.com once 2027 ticketing opens.

Preparing your visit

For the sponsor or exhibitor

  • Request the partnership pack early: the seven packages are sold on quotation, and the most visible ones, the VIP dinner and the startup competition, go to a single partner.
  • Weigh up mass visibility against closed-door access: the CXO Summit and the VIP dinner reach a leadership audience that the exhibition area does not, but with a far lower volume of contacts.
  • Plan ahead for the change of venue: the build-up and logistics constraints of the Palais des Congrès are nothing like those of the Carrousel du Louvre, and no one has prior experience of this venue for this event. Also plan for an English-speaking team.
  • Decide on the RAISE Summit question: the 2027 overlap opens the door to a shared presence but requires choosing between two audiences.

For the decision-making visitor

  • Buy early if a visa application is needed: the invitation letter is only issued to holders of a confirmed ticket.
  • Choose your ticket level according to the areas you want to access: the VIP lounge, access to the competition case files and the dinner all depend on pass type and cannot be bought on site.
  • Prepare your schedule in the app before arriving: over two days, slots with the most sought-after profiles fill up fast.
  • Identify the Institutional Days sessions: this is the most actionable part for a finance department.
  • Book accommodation as soon as you buy your ticket: early July is a tight period for hotel availability in Paris, made worse in 2027 by RAISE Summit running at the same time.

CSR policy & initiatives

The event itself does not publish a corporate social responsibility policy: neither the Paris Blockchain Week website, whose sitemap lists close to a thousand URLs, nor the Signal Week website has a commitments or CSR page, and no event-specific ISO 20121 certification is displayed.

At group level, joining Hyve in July 2026 changes the picture: the group publishes a sustainability policy structured around four ambitions labelled "Empowering communities", "Addressing impact", "Broadening horizons" and "Inspiring change", together with a manifesto and a supplier code of conduct. It remains to be seen how this is applied to the 2027 edition.

The verifiable guarantees currently come from the venue. The Palais des Congrès de Paris is operated by Viparis, the world's leading events operator to be ISO 20121 certified across all its sites and activities, since 2014, structuring its approach around the Better Events policy. The venue is also certified BREEAM In-Use at Excellent level.

The measures listed by the operator are concrete: an on-site sorting centre bringing the average waste recovery rate to 56%, the removal of plastic bottles in favour of glass and water fountains, LED lighting, infrared-sensor taps, an off-site logistics platform centralising deliveries, and rooftop beehives and planted terraces.

Trajectory analysis

Three trends emerge from this history, and they all point the same way.

The first is the shrinking format: five days in 2024, three in 2025, two in 2026 and in 2027. An event that grows in attendance while shortening its duration is choosing density of encounters over wandering the floor. There is no longer a quiet day to make up for.

The second is the shift in centre of gravity, from Web3 towards institutional finance. The 2023 and 2024 editions talked about Web3, gaming and content creation; the 2026 programme talks about bitcoin treasury, stablecoins, real-world asset tokenisation and MiCA, and two entire tracks are reserved for institutions. The new name confirms this shift.

The third is joining a group. The acquisition by Hyve, announced on 20 July 2026, places Signal Week in the same portfolio as Fintech Meetup, Shoptalk, HLTH and Bett, with a stated intention to apply the group's methods in organised meetings and international duplication. For a partner, this signals a professionalisation of matchmaking, and a risk of standardising an event whose distinctiveness has so far rested on its founders. The move to the Palais des Congrès and the shift to July, coinciding with RAISE Summit, are the physical expression of this.
