The Palais de la Musique et des Congrès (PMC), whose full official name has been Palais des congrès Pierre-Pflimlin since the 2016 renovation, is Strasbourg's convention centre, located in the Wacken district, in the immediate vicinity of the European Parliament and the institutions of the European capital. Fully renovated in 2016, it combines convention spaces, auditoriums and exhibition areas within a single facility managed by Strasbourg Events. It hosts professional conventions as well as cultural events and concerts.
Halls and floor space
The facility offers roughly 50,000 sqm of space in total. It comprises a 3,000 sqm pillar-free exhibition hall, with an 11 m ceiling height, complemented by 10,000 sqm of modular multi-purpose spaces. The PMC also features three auditoriums (1,800, 1,200 and 500 seats) and around twenty configurable committee rooms.
Access and transport
The PMC is served by the tram, lines B and E, Wacken stop, a few minutes' walk from the building. From Strasbourg-Ville station (TGV), the tram provides a direct connection to the Wacken stop. The site has on-site parking.
Services
The Palais offers a catering area that can seat up to 1,400 guests. Its location in the Wacken district, Strasbourg's business and institutional quarter, provides a wide choice of hotel accommodation nearby.
