Key takeaways
- HR Technologies France is the French event for HR technologies and services: recruitment, talent management, payroll and HRIS, workplace health and wellbeing, training, HR operations.
- Organisers: CloserStill Media, a British operator founded in 2008, with the specialist media outlet Parlons RH as co-organiser.
- Next edition: Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 January 2027, at Hall 4 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, 1 place de la Porte de Versailles, 75015 Paris, from 9am to 6pm.
- The trade show is co-located with Learning Technologies France, in the same hall, under a single badge: the two events are visited as one.
- Results of the last edition (2026, 4th): 16,000 professionals, 350 exhibitors and 300 sessions over two days, at Hall 6.
- For 2027, the organiser has announced an expanded format, a new hall, more than 410 exhibitors and 350 conferences and Power Sessions across the co-located pair.
- Access is free for end users, on prior registration. Service providers and vendor companies fall under a paid Business Visitor pass.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
HR Technologies France is a trade show for software publishers and service providers, not an equipment trade show. The organiser structures its offering around five families: recruitment and talent acquisition, talent retention and management, workplace health and wellbeing, training, and HR operations and services. Under these five headings sit around thirty sub-domains: ATS, LMS, HRIS, payroll, time management, employer branding, sourcing, internal mobility, employee benefits, temporary staffing, consulting.
The dominant profile is that of the software publisher, French or international, seeking long sales cycles with HR directorates in the process of overhauling their core applications. Alongside them are recruitment agencies, training providers, insurers and brokers in employee benefits, and organisational consulting firms. Co-location with Learning Technologies France mechanically broadens the offering on the digital learning and instructional design side. For an HR exhibitor, this means an audience that includes training managers, not only HR directors and recruitment managers.
Notable exhibitors
The list of exhibiting companies for the 2027 edition is published and continuously updated by the organiser on the exhibitors page of the official website. At the time of writing, it included Cegid, Sopra HR Software, Lucca, Talentia, Eurécia, Welcome to the Jungle, Teamtailor, Edenred, Groupe APICIL, LumApps, Skillup, Docaposte, SD Worx, Rippling, Remote and Crosstalent.
This list mixes the large, established publishers of the French payroll and HRIS market with a more recent layer of SaaS platforms, often international, positioned on a single segment of the employee journey.
Quality of the audience
The organiser's pitch rests on decision-making power rather than volume. The access policy is explicit on this point: free entry is reserved for end users, meaning HR professionals employed at a user company, while service providers and vendor companies must purchase a Business Visitor pass. This filtering at the entrance is a defining feature of the trade show: it aims to limit the share of visitors coming to prospect rather than to buy.
The targeted functions cover three circles: the HR directorate and its operational relays; the compensation and benefits, culture and people, and talent acquisition functions; and finally the related technical functions, IT directorates and procurement managers, who are involved in tooling decisions.
The figure of 16,000 attendees recorded in 2026 should be read at the scale of the co-located pair: the badge is shared between HR Technologies France and Learning Technologies France, and the two events share the same hall. An HR exhibitor therefore addresses an audience wider than the HR community alone, with the trade-off of competing for attention with training sector players.
Activities & community
Conference programme
The programme is one of the trade show's two engines, on a par with the exhibition floor, and it is free to registered visitors. It combines plenary conferences and a short format known as Power Sessions, plus an author book-signing programme.
For 2027, the organiser has set four guiding themes, presented with their official tagline: "AI & HR Transformation" (preserving human warmth in the age of AI), "Employee Experience & Talent Management" (keeping the sacred fire alive among employees and rethinking their journeys), "Recruitment & Employer Branding" (sparking the interest of tomorrow's talent), and "HR, Work & Society" (a fresh breath for a diverse, committed and sustainable company).
The 2026 edition carried 300 sessions. For 2027, the announced figure of 350 conferences and Power Sessions covers the whole co-located pair with Learning Technologies France. The detailed programme and list of speakers are published on the conference page of the official website.
A separate initiative, the Executive Club, is reserved for an audience of HR leaders by invitation or application, with a dedicated track and sessions.
Community & networks
Co-organiser Parlons RH is a media outlet and editorial consulting agency specialising in the HR function. This set-up is unusual on the French trade show market: it gives the conference programme a media anchor, with a stated editorial line and edition theme, rather than a simple assembly of exhibitor talks.
CloserStill Media also runs an international portfolio in the same space: HR Technologies UK and Learning Technologies in London (ExCeL), Zukunft Personal Europe in Cologne and its Stuttgart and Hamburg spin-offs, OEB Global in Berlin, and several North American events devoted to learning.
On the Paris market, HR Technologies France coexists with two events of a different nature: Congrès HR, a congress format, and Solutions RH, the long-running trade show for the HR function's equipment. The three are distinct events, with their own organisers and calendars.
On site: what you need to know
For access, parking and accommodation, see the venue page: Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, 1 place de la Porte de Versailles, 75015 Paris.
Specific to the 2027 edition: the event is held in Hall 4, after Hall 6 in 2026 and Hall 7.1 in 2025. This rotation from one edition to the next should be checked before printing any signage or sending any invitations, as access points are not the same from one pavilion of the park to another.
Opening hours are 9am to 6pm on both days. The badge is shared with Learning Technologies France, held in the same hall on the same dates: a single registration gives access to both trade shows and the full programme.
Visitor registration is free for end users and must be completed in advance. Service providers, software publishers and vendor companies wishing to visit without exhibiting fall under the paid Business Visitor pass, which also opens access to the conferences and networking sessions. The exhibitor sales contact is hrtechfr@closerstillmedia.com.

Preparing your visit
For the exhibitor
- Decide early on the position within Hall 4: the hall changes from one edition to the next, and the park's entry flows do not read the same way from one pavilion to another. Ask for the 2027 edition floor plan before booking.
- Factor the co-location with Learning Technologies France into the stand brief: part of the audience present in the hall has come for training, not for HRIS. Signage needs to qualify visitors within three seconds.
- Apply early for speaking slots in the programme: on a two-day trade show where content is the main draw, a well-placed session outweighs an extra square metre.
- Fill in the listing in the official website's exhibitor directory as soon as it opens: this is the entry point for visitors preparing their journey in advance.
For the decision-making visitor
- Register in advance: free access is reserved for end users and requires prior registration. Service providers must go through the Business Visitor pass.
- Build your itinerary from the programme before arriving. Over two days and 350 sessions announced across the pair, improvisation is costly.
- Use the single badge to also cover Learning Technologies France if training is part of your scope: both trade shows are in the same hall.
- For HR directorates, look into the Executive Club, whose access is restricted and whose format is separate from the public programme.
Policy & CSR initiatives
As of the time of writing, neither the HR Technologies France website nor CloserStill Media's corporate website publishes a formalised environmental policy for the event: no page devoted to commitments or sustainability, no numerical emissions reduction target, and no ISO 20121 certification displayed for the trade show.
What the organising group does publish relates to the social and UK-compliance side: a Modern Slavery Act statement, annual Gender Pay Gap reports for 2023, 2024 and 2025, and a Diversity and Inclusion section on the corporate website.
These organisational commitments should not be confused with the programme content: the "HR, Work & Society" theme of the 2027 edition, which addresses the committed and sustainable company, is a conference topic, not a commitment by the organiser on the footprint of its own event.
The most solid verifiable layer comes from the venue. Paris Expo Porte de Versailles is operated by Viparis, the world's first events-site operator to have obtained ISO 20121 certification across all of its Paris sites, and committed to a sustainability strategy through to 2030 covering energy, waste, biodiversity and site accessibility. An exhibitor needing to document the footprint of their participation will therefore find, with the operator of the venue, the elements that the organiser does not publish.

Trajectory analysis
The trajectory is one of a successful launch followed by a rapid scale-up. Launched in 2023 with around a hundred exhibitors expected, the trade show now brings together 350 four editions on, and its audience has grown from a launch-year community to 16,000 attendees. For a French professional event created after 2020, this is an uncommon rate of progression.
Three factors explain this momentum: the alignment with Learning Technologies France, an already established brand on the training market, which gave the newcomer an audience and a calendar slot from the first edition; the choice of a media co-organiser, Parlons RH, which gives the programme an identifiable editorial line rather than a content mix drawn purely from exhibitors; and the calendar slot itself, at the end of January, just as the year's HR budgets are being decided.
The signal to watch for 2027 is the hall change, again: Hall 7.1 in 2025, Hall 6 in 2026, Hall 4 in 2027. The organiser presents this move as a format expansion, which is consistent with the growth in exhibitor numbers, but it deprives the trade show of the stable venue landmark on which the visiting routine of an annual event is usually built.
That leaves the question of how readable the figures are. The published attendance data applies to the co-located pair, shared badge and common hall, and not to HR Technologies France taken in isolation. An exhibitor building a budget should reason on this basis rather than on the assumed HR share of the audience, which the organiser does not publish.
