Agoris analysis · updated October 2026

Key takeaways

  • Paris Space Week is the international business convention for the space industry: two days of exhibition, conferences and pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings, open to professionals only.
  • Organiser: ASTech Paris Region, the Paris-region competitiveness cluster for aerospace, space and defence, with Vimeet events as operator. The official website presents the event as "A Comexposium Group Event".
  • Next edition: Wednesday 31 March and Thursday 1 April 2027, at Espace Champerret in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, from 9am to 6pm on both days.
  • Figures shown by the organiser on the 2027 edition website: more than 2,000 visitors, more than 150 stands, more than 40 countries represented and more than 4,000 scheduled business meetings.
  • Previous edition: the 13th, on 10 and 11 March 2026, at the same venue. Its participant directory, still online, lists 286 registered organisations, including 152 "Suppliers & Start-up" and 134 "Buyers, Funders & Public Institutions".
  • A three-part programme: 35-minute Signature Talks led by ASTech, 20-minute Innovation Spotlight slots reserved for exhibitors, and the PSW Innovation Challenge, whose pitch final is held on the first day.
  • A 100% professional, English-speaking event, accessible by badge. Two visitor access levels: the Visitor Pass, limited to the exhibition and conferences, and the Qualified Visitor Access, reserved for buyers, investors and institutional attendees, which unlocks the meetings platform.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

Paris Space Week is not an equipment trade show: it is a business convention built around a matchmaking platform. The format is visible in the four distinct exhibition tracks offered on the exhibitors page of the official website: "suppliers & startups" for SMEs, mid-caps and young companies looking for buyers; "government bodies" for space agencies and public bodies; "clusters & delegation" for clusters, federations and national pavilions grouping several companies together; "sponsor exhibitors" for those seeking a visibility package beyond the stand.

This segmentation says most of what you need to know about the expected audience. The application fields listed in the participant directory cover the entire space value chain: satellites, launchers, ground segment, Earth observation, exploration, security and defence. The declared competencies go down to component level: chemical and electric propulsion, antennas, AOCS/GNC sensors and actuators, detectors, energy storage, cryogenics, robotics, debris management.

Notable exhibitors

The organiser keeps the 2026 edition participant directory online, searchable by category, company type, application field and competency: it is the most reliable source on who is actually present.

On the institutional side, the 2026 edition featured representatives from CNES, the European Space Agency and NASA, in an opening session devoted to international cooperation around the Artemis II programme. For the 2026 PSW Innovation Challenge, the organiser described a jury of executives, prime contractors and investors from organisations such as Airbus, Lockheed Martin, Thales Alenia Space, RUAG, CASC and the CEA.

The footer of the 2027 website also lists the clusters Aerospace Valley, Aeriades and NAE as partners, along with the Space Women Alliance. Glenair and KPMG were among the sponsors of the 2026 edition.

Quality of the audience

The ratio between supply and demand is the most telling indicator here. In the 2026 directory, registered organisations split almost evenly: 152 suppliers and startups on one side, 134 buyers, funders and public institutions on the other. For an exhibitor, that is a markedly more favourable ratio than at a high-volume trade show.

The corollary is that raw attendance does not mean much here. The organiser shows more than 4,000 scheduled business meetings, a metric much closer to what a participant is actually looking for. Requests open thirty days before the event, based on declared profiles: anyone who does not fill in theirs arrives with an empty agenda. The audience is international, with more than 40 countries announced, and the event is held in English.

Events & community

Conference programme

The organiser describes the programme as hybrid, on two levels.

The "Signature Talks" are 35-minute sessions bringing together institutions, industry players and experts. The themes announced for 2027 cover European sovereignty, the use of satellite data through artificial intelligence, access to space, connectivity, orbital sustainability and collaboration between startups and large groups. They are editorially led by ASTech, which sets them apart from a purely commercial programme.

The "Innovation Spotlight" are 20-minute slots open to exhibitors to present a product or technology, to be decided when booking the stand.

The 2026 edition gives an idea of the level: an opening session on international cooperation around Artemis II with NASA and ESA, a session on new uses in orbit, an investor panel, a segment on AI and sovereignty. The 2027 programme and speakers had not been published at the time of writing.

Awards and accolades

The "PSW Innovation Challenge" rewards the most significant project, product or solution brought to market or into production in the year preceding the event, on a selection process run with ASTech.

The 2027 edition is structured around three themes, each with its own winner: "Satellite Technologies", "Earth Observation / Services" and "Ground Segment / Launcher". Fifteen shortlisted companies, five per theme, present their case before a jury of experts at the "Final Pitch" on the first day, and the winners are announced at the closing cocktail. The published timeline runs from 20 July 2026, opening of applications, to 31 January 2027 for submissions, with jury review from 8 to 14 February, shortlist announcement on 16 February, pitches on 31 March and results on 1 April 2027.

The challenge is open to startups, SMEs, laboratories and university teams, judged on innovation, impact, feasibility and growth potential criteria. Benefits for winners include a free exhibition stand at the 2028 edition.

Community & networks

The event's ecosystem is first and foremost that of ASTech Paris Region, an association and Paris-region competitiveness cluster that brings together industry players, laboratories and research bodies in aerospace, space and defence, and which lends the show its technical legitimacy.

The second pillar is Vimeet events, the agency and publisher of the matchmaking platform, which handles its sales, logistics and digital side. The same team runs other French industrial business conventions, including ViV Industry and the Rendez-vous Carnot.

Paris Space Week does not overlap with the Salon international de l'aéronautique et de l'espace, the biennial Le Bourget event that combines civil aviation, defence and space for a much wider audience: one is a two-day marketplace for qualified meetings, the other a global showcase. For an SME in the supply chain, Paris Space Week's logic is closer to that of Aeromart Toulouse or the Aerospace Test & Development Show, with its centre of gravity shifted towards space.

On site: what you need to know

For detailed access, capacity and services, see the venue page: Espace Champerret, Paris 17th. The venue is operated by Viparis and has three ground-level halls totalling around 8,450 m² of exhibition space, a compact format that explains the event's dense pace.

Access is via Porte de Champerret: metro line 3, exit 1; tram T3b; buses 84, 92, 39, 163, 164, 165 and PC; RER C, Pereire-Levallois station. By car, the organiser points to the SAEMES Porte de Champerret car park.

The event opens at 9am and closes at 6pm on both days, and the badge must be printed in colour before arrival. On site, the organiser advertises a food court and restaurants with vegetarian options, a cloakroom and left-luggage service, free wifi, charging points and work areas. Commercial contact goes through the Vimeet events team, at psw@vimeet.events.

How much it costs to exhibit

The organiser does not publish any exhibitor price list: stands are booked via the online registration platform or through the sales team. The amounts below are indicative orders of magnitude for a business convention of this format and duration, and do not in any way constitute the official Paris Space Week rates. No visitor rate has been published either at this stage for 2027.
Poste de dépenseFourchette basseFourchette haute
Fitted stand, supplier or startup format (indicative, on quotation)€3,000€12,000
Shared space, cluster or delegation pavilion (indicative, per company)€2,000€6,000

Booking happens in three steps: selecting the format on the platform, choosing three preferred locations on the floor plan, then payment to confirm. Access to the business meetings platform is included for all exhibitors. Actual rates to be requested from the sales team.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Choose your exhibition track based on your nature and objective: the "clusters & delegation" format lets several SMEs from the same region share a pavilion, which changes the entry ticket per company.
  • Book early to have a say on location: the process requires three preferred locations on the floor plan, which had not been published at the time of writing.
  • Treat the matchmaking platform as the real product being bought: your declared profile and needs determine the meeting recommendations, and requests open thirty days before the event.
  • Decide on the Innovation Spotlight slot at the same time as the stand: twenty minutes on stage does not replace a stand, but it feeds the meetings agenda.
  • For a startup or laboratory, look into the PSW Innovation Challenge: submissions until 31 January 2027, shortlist on 16 February, pitches on 31 March, free stand in 2028 for the winners.

For the decision-making visitor

  • Check your eligibility for Qualified Visitor Access before registering: only this access level, reserved for buyers, investors and institutional attendees, unlocks the meetings scheduling.
  • Block out both full days. The format is one of back-to-back meetings from 9am to 6pm, not a casual walk between stands.
  • Prepare your target list from the participant directory, filterable by application field and technical competency, as soon as meeting requests open.
  • Identify the useful Signature Talks in advance: these are the only sessions with strategic content, and they mechanically cut into meeting time.

Policy & CSR initiatives

The Paris Space Week website does not publish a page dedicated to the event's environmental or social commitments. Sustainability appears there as a programme topic, with sessions devoted to orbital sustainability and debris management, but not as a documented organisational commitment. This is a point on which the organiser lags behind other French professional conventions.

Two levels of assurance nonetheless exist upstream of the event.

The first is at group level. The official website presents Paris Space Week as a Comexposium group event, which has been committed since 2022 to the Net Zero Carbon Events initiative led by UFI and supported by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, with a target of carbon neutrality for the events sector by 2050. The group calculates the carbon footprint of its events, including visitor travel and exhibitor installations.

The second is at venue level. Espace Champerret is operated by Viparis, the first operator to have ISO 20121, the responsible management standard for event activity, certified across all of its Paris venues. For an exhibitor who needs to document the footprint of their participation, this is currently the most solid source.

Trajectory analysis

Paris Space Week was created in 2013, making it one of the oldest European business events devoted exclusively to space. Its first editions were held at the Musée de l'air et de l'espace at Le Bourget. The 2021 edition took place entirely online, with more than 1,000 business meetings held remotely, and the event then settled at Espace Champerret.

The notable shift over recent editions is not volume, but positioning. The organiser overhauled its website and brand for 2027 around the tagline "Europe's Leading Space Exhibition", now displays its membership of the Comexposium group, and has restructured its offering into four tracks separating suppliers, public bodies and collective delegations. The conference programme has been formalised into two calibrated formats, and the innovation challenge has moved from a single winner to three themed winners.

The calendar, however, remains unsettled: February in 2025, March in 2026, late March and early April in 2027. An exhibitor building a multi-year trade show plan should check the dates of each edition rather than assume a stable period. The 2028 dates had not been announced at the time of writing, but the organiser already refers to that edition in the challenge's rewards.

Unless otherwise stated, all factual data in this listing comes from the organiser's official website (paris-space-week.com).
