Key points

  • Funéraire Paris is the trade show for the French funeral industry: manufacturers, distributors and service providers present their offer to funeral directors, monumental masons, crematoria, cemetery managers and local authorities. It is strictly reserved for funeral and monumental masonry professionals.
  • Next edition: the 21st, from Wednesday 17 to Friday 19 November 2027, at the Parc des Expositions Paris Le Bourget, hall 2B. The 2027 edition marks the show's 40th anniversary.
  • Organiser: the Syndicat de l'Art Funéraire (SAF, formerly CSNAF), creator and owner of the show. Operational organisation is entrusted to SPAT, Société pour la Promotion des Arts et des Techniques.
  • Biennial frequency, in odd-numbered years, since its creation in 1987. The show is held in November.
  • 2025 edition results: 246 exhibitors, including 91 new ones and 40 international companies from 16 countries, and more than 6,200 professional visitors, 15% of them from abroad.

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The offer is organised into eight sectors, covering the whole chain of funerals and remembrance: remembrance (bronzes, plaques, vases, flowers, sculptures), the grave (burial vaults, urn vaults, columbaria, monuments), the ceremony (coffins, coffin linings, urns, funeral vehicles, hall layout), care (thanatopraxy, refrigeration and preservation of the body), services (funeral plans, software and web platforms, repatriations, design of funeral homes, cemeteries and crematoria), machinery and tools (engraving, stonework, earthmoving, cremation equipment), funeral distributors (franchises, buying groups, funeral director networks) and, finally, the press and professional organisations.

The show presents itself as a place that generates business: visitors place orders with their suppliers as much as they spot new products. The weight of the international side remains modest but real, with 16% of exhibitors coming from abroad in 2025.

Notable exhibitors

The 2025 exhibitor list remains available on the official website, with a search engine by products and services. The 2027 list is not yet published: exhibitor registrations open in January 2027.

Among the 2025 exhibitors, the winners of the Funéraire d'Or competition give an idea of what is presented as innovative in the industry: Histoires de Vie, with a box set of biographies accessible by QR code; Repos Digital, with a service for managing the deceased's digital legacy; Art Light Epoxy, with wooden coffin emblems; PimpMyCoffin, with a coffin personalisation kit. The page devoted to the eco-responsible initiatives of the 2025 exhibitors also lists coffins made of recycled cardboard (abCrémation), jute (JC Atkinson) or mushroom-based material (Loop Biotech), biodegradable urns and recyclable ceramic monuments (Stonest).

Visitor quality

The visitor base is exclusively professional: to obtain a badge, you must prove your status by providing the SIRET number of your company or employer. People in training are admitted on presentation of proof. The expected profiles are funeral directors, monumental masons, thanatopractors, ambulance drivers and funeral transport operators, crematoria, florists, cemeteries, stonecutters and engravers, but also architects, landscape designers, healthcare establishments, care homes, local authorities and insurers.

In 2025, the organiser reports more than 6,200 professionals, up 3.5% on 2023, a level it says had not been reached for 22 years. International visitors came from 53 countries and accounted for 15% of the total. No OJS certification or third-party audit is published: these figures come from the organiser's own results.

Activities & community

Conference programme

The programme for the 2027 edition has not yet been published. The 2025 programme gives a sense of the format: conferences run each day by professional organisations and government bodies, in a dedicated area.

In 2025, the FNF and CRAMIF covered occupational health and safety in the funeral industry; Empreintes "Accompagner le deuil" and the SAF presented the 2025 barometer "Les Français face au deuil", produced by CRÉDOC; the FNF and CPME hosted a round table on artificial intelligence in the funeral industry; the DGCL and DGS presented the digitisation of death certificates, with the Portail des Opérations Funéraires and CertDc; the UPFP devoted a conference to CSR in the funeral industry and public cemeteries.

Other highlights completed the programme: the presentation of the university prizes by the SAF and the "Les Morts" scientific network, which reward research on funeral practices, the screening of the documentary series Du formol dans le cœur, and the final of the Masters of Ceremony public speaking competition organised by the FNF.

The Funéraire d'Or competition

Launched in 2023, the Funéraire d'Or competition is co-organised by the SAF and the FNF and reserved for the show's exhibitors, with free entry. Four prizes are awarded at a ceremony on the first day: the Products Prize, the Services Prize and the Sustainable Development Prize, awarded by a jury of five industry professionals, and the Visitors Prize, voted for by visitors from ten candidates shortlisted by the jury. The Sustainable Development Prize was created for the 2025 edition.

The second edition, in 2025, received 60 entries, against 37 in 2023. The typical calendar published on the competition page provides for entries from June to the end of September, then voting by registered visitors from October. The winners receive a registration pack for the following edition and exposure on the show's website and LinkedIn page.

Community & networks

The show is a direct offshoot of the industry's suppliers' association, the SAF, which brings together suppliers of funeral products and services and publishes, with CRÉDOC, studies on the French, funerals and bereavement. The professional and institutional organisations partnering the 2025 edition were CRÉDOC, the FNF (Fédération Nationale du Funéraire), the UPFP (Union du Pôle Funéraire Public), the DGCL, the DGS, the CPME, CRAMIF and Empreintes "Accompagner le deuil".

The 2025 edition also marked a first opening to the general press, with a dedicated area set up by the SAF: Quotidien on TMC, Arte, RFI, Ouest-France and AFP were among those who attended.

On site: what you need to know

The show occupies hall 2B of the Parc des Expositions Paris Le Bourget, Carrefour Charles Lindbergh, 93350 Le Bourget. Opening hours are 9am to 7pm on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 November 2027, and 9am to 6pm on Friday 19. For the show's 40th anniversary, the organiser also announces a late opening on Thursday, until 9pm.

By public transport, access is via Le Bourget RER station, from where free shuttles run to the exhibition centre every 30 minutes, from 8am to 8pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 8.30am to 6.30pm on Friday. The access page also mentions La Courneuve and Porte de la Chapelle stations, as well as the Michelet - Parc des expositions stop. By car, take the A1 motorway from Porte de la Chapelle, exit 5 "Aéroport du Bourget". Parking is chargeable, at €0.80 per quarter of an hour up to six hours, then €20 from the 7th to the 24th hour. A taxi rank is set up opposite the hall in the afternoon.

Entry is by badge, to be ordered online: €28 incl. VAT online, €30 incl. VAT on site, with proof of professional status required in both cases. Ticketing for the 2027 edition is due to open in June 2027. Several catering points and a cloakroom are planned on site.

How much does it cost to exhibit?

The organiser does not publish any exhibitor price list online: terms are provided on request, via the information request form on the website or the show's sales department. No figure is therefore given here as an order of magnitude.

The sales calendar, however, has been announced: registrations open on 4 January 2027 for companies that took part in 2025, which benefit from priority booking terms, then from February 2027 for all other companies. A new exhibitor can therefore submit a request from February 2027. As a guide to the format, the 2023 edition announced more than 8,500 m² net of stands.

Preparing your visit

For exhibitors

  • 2025 exhibitors can register from 4 January 2027, with priority booking terms; new exhibitors from the general opening in February.
  • Prepare an entry for the Funéraire d'Or, which the typical competition calendar places between June and the end of September: it is free, and being among the ten finalists put to the visitors' vote brings exposure even before the show opens.
  • Document your environmental approach: the website highlights exhibitors' eco-responsible initiatives on a dedicated page, and a Sustainable Development Prize has existed since 2025.
  • Plan for Thursday: it is the day when attendance by French visitors peaked in 2025, and the day of the late opening announced for 2027.

For decision-maker visitors

  • Order your badge online as soon as ticketing opens in June 2027: it is cheaper than on site and the SIRET number is required in both cases.
  • Spot new products in advance: in 2025, the website offered, along with the exhibitor list, a search engine by products and services.
  • Vote for the Funéraire d'Or Visitors Prize from October: voting is reserved for visitors who have ordered their badge.
  • Plan your visit around the government conferences (DGCL, DGS in 2025) when a regulatory change directly affects your business.

CSR policy & initiatives

The show publishes a dedicated page, "Un événement durable", which details its commitments for the 2025 edition: catering favouring local produce, removal of plastic badge holders since 2023 and installation of water fountains in 2025, removal of the official paper catalogue since 2021, then of promotional flyers and stickers in 2025, choice of suppliers who share these values, encouragement of car-sharing and public transport, with a free car-sharing tool and a carbon footprint calculator for participants. The 2025 results confirm the creation of the Sustainable Development Prize within the Funéraire d'Or and the promotion of exhibitors' initiatives on the website.

At operator level, SPAT publishes a sustainability charter setting out an action plan with monitoring indicators, on limiting the environmental footprint of its activities and supporting responsible events. No ISO 20121 certification specific to the show is displayed.

The venue provides the most formalised guarantees: Paris Le Bourget is one of the Viparis sites, which states that in 2014 it was the world's first events operator to be ISO 20121 certified across all its sites and activity, and has since rolled out a Better Events strategy. At the exhibition centre, the show cites green electricity since January 2018, two-stream waste sorting, LED lighting, condensing boilers, beehives installed on an embankment and accessibility of all areas for people with reduced mobility.

On substance, the SAF published a study in October 2024 on the carbon footprint of funeral rites in France: the environmental question is one of the industry's topics, beyond the organisation of the show alone.

Trajectory analysis

Funéraire Paris has a rare regularity: twenty editions held every two years since 1987, with no stated interruption, including in November 2021. The show is attached to the Parc des Expositions Paris Le Bourget, with one exception: the 2023 edition was held at Paris Nord Villepinte, before a return to Le Bourget in 2025, highlighted on the poster for the 20th edition.

The last two editions show clear growth on the supply side: from 217 exhibitors in 2023 to 246 in 2025, 13% more, with 91 newcomers making up more than a third of the total. Attendance is growing more slowly, from 6,000 to more than 6,200 visitors, but the organiser stresses that it has regained a level not seen for more than twenty years, and that the international share is returning to its pre-pandemic baseline.

The show is also opening up beyond the professional circle: university prizes awarded with a network of researchers, a welcome for the general press in 2025, a conference programme entrusted to federations and government bodies. For 2027, the organiser announces a late opening on Thursday and a visual identity reusing the colours of the original 1987 logo.
