Key takeaways
- 48th edition of the Salon des Vignerons Indépendants Paris Porte de Versailles, from 10 to 13 December 2026, Pavilion 3. Not to be confused with the Champerret edition in March (33rd ed. from 19 to 22 March 2026), a separate fixture on the annual calendar.
- Organised by the Confédération Nationale des Vignerons Indépendants de France (CNVIF), formerly the Confédération Nationale des Caves Particulières (CNCP), renamed "Vignerons Indépendants de France" in 2003. The confederation was founded in 1976 in Languedoc-Roussillon, and the trade show concept was created in 1978.
- 100% direct-sale audience: exclusively winegrowers who tend their own vines, vinify themselves, bottle on the estate and market their own production. Cooperatives and merchants are excluded by charter. Private buyers, independent wine merchants, sommeliers and restaurateurs.
- Results of the previous edition (47th, 4 to 7 December 2025): 665 winegrowers present (i.e. "almost 700" according to the organiser), with 30% women winegrowers among the exhibitors.
- Entry fee: €6 full price, €3 concession. Free downloadable invitation on the official website and from partners (wine merchants, specialist blogs, media). Complimentary INAO glass at the entrance on presentation of a ticket or invitation.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
A single-sector trade show, 100% independent winegrowers. The charter is strict and is the distinctive feature of the trade show: no cooperatives, no merchants, no blended brands. Each exhibitor tends their own vines, vinifies their own grapes, bottles on their estate and markets their own production. The confederation has more than 6,000 winegrower members across France, organised into a network of around 40 regional and departmental federations.
Notable exhibitors
The line-up rotates and is geographical: all the major French appellations are represented (Bordeaux, Burgundy, Languedoc-Roussillon, the Rhône Valley, the Loire, Alsace, Provence, the South-West, Champagne, Beaujolais, the Jura, Savoie, Corsica). The full list of exhibitors is published on the official website ahead of the trade show, organised by region.
Quality of the visitor base
- Loyal private buyers: an urban, upper-bracket audience that builds a personal cellar each year at this trade show.
- Independent wine merchants sourcing directly, looking for estates outside the mass-distribution circuit.
- Sommeliers and restaurateurs, particularly from the Île-de-France region, seeking references for a short wine list.
- A knowledgeable audience: blind tasting and the INAO scoring grid are the norm, and technical exchange with the winegrower is part of the value proposition.
Activities & community
Concours des Vignerons Indépendants
The flagship competition of the sector, held ahead of the Paris trade show. 2026 edition: 3,700 samples submitted, 1,031 medals awarded (510 gold, 430 silver, 91 bronze). The competition's distinctive feature: the jury is made up exclusively of amateurs, more than 1,000 tasters trained in the INAO method. Blind tasting, in short sessions, with jurors rotating. The medals are highlighted on the stands of the winners at the Paris PdV trade show.
On-site activities
An educational tasting area, introductory tasting workshops, trails by grape variety and by appellation, meetings with women winegrowers (a deliberate focus at the 2025 edition, in keeping with the 30% female representation).
Exhibitor and visitor services
Trolley hire to make buying bottles easier, a left-luggage area, home delivery (a paid option, via a carrier partner), an open-access educational tasting area. The whole set-up is designed to let visitors leave with their cellar for the year.

Planning your visit
For the exhibiting winegrower
- Prior membership of the confederation via your regional or departmental federation (a network of around 40 federations).
- Apply for the Paris PdV trade show several months in advance; stand allocation is handled by the national federation.
- An identical stand for all exhibitors: this has been a founding principle since 1978, guaranteeing fairness and the "direct producer" positioning. No premium or two-tier stands.
- Prepare to take part in the Concours des Vignerons Indépendants beforehand: gold and silver are strong arguments to display on your stand.
- For estates starting out with direct sales at trade shows, favour the regional shows first (Strasbourg, Lyon, Bordeaux, Lille, Reims) before Paris PdV, which remains the most crowded fixture.
For the buying visitor
- Download the free invitation from the official website or pick it up from a partner independent wine merchant before 10 December.
- Set a cellar budget: the average spend recorded by winegrowers ranges from €200 to several thousand euros over the course of the trade show.
- Hire a transport trolley as soon as you arrive if the aim is to build your annual cellar.
- Target 2 to 3 priority appellations in advance: the trade show covers the whole of France, and exhaustive tasting is impossible in a single day.
- Activate the home delivery option for heavy purchases, particularly if travelling by public transport.
CSR policy and sector commitment
The independent winegrowers' sector has a structured CSR positioning, documented by the Observatoire des Vignerons Indépendants: 32.4% organic farming (+23% over 3 years), 15.1% under High Environmental Value level 3, 3.6% in the process of certification. Almost half of the members are therefore certified or in conversion under one of the two standards. The confederation publicly campaigns with the authorities for an HVE tax credit. At the Paris PdV trade show, certified estates are explicitly highlighted on the stands. The "short supply chain" value proposition (winegrower to consumer, with no intermediary) is consistent with a CSR reading of the value chain.

Trajectory analysis
The Salon des Vignerons Indépendants Paris Porte de Versailles is the largest direct winegrower-to-consumer sales trade show in France. Its distinctiveness lies in the strict admission charter (production, vinification, bottling and marketing by the winegrower themselves), which sets it radically apart from the other Paris wine fixtures. The 2025 trajectory (665 winegrowers, 30% women winegrowers) confirms a mature format whose room for growth now lies in international expansion (the Hamburg roll-out since 2025) and in consolidating the national network of 9 French cities. The role of the Concours des Vignerons Indépendants, with its 100% amateur jury and its 3,700 annual samples, structures exhibitors' commercial visibility throughout the year.
