Key takeaways
- Salonvert is the professional trade show for landscaping and green spaces, held outdoors: 15 hectares of trials and demonstrations, where machinery runs in front of the buyer rather than simply being displayed.
- Next edition: Tuesday 19 to Thursday 21 September 2028, in Saint-Chéron (Essonne). The organiser's calendar links these dates to Saint-Chéron and describes the show as taking place in the grounds of the Château de Baville, its usual site since 2004. The 2028 plan, opening hours and prices have not yet been published.
- Announced for 2028: the launch of a plant area (pôle végétal), dedicated to the expertise, players and offering of the sector.
- Organiser: Profield Events Group, based in Torcy (Saône-et-Loire), creator of the show. No co-organiser. Official website: salonvert.com.
- Frequency: every two years, in even-numbered years.
- Results of the 12th edition, in September 2026: 342 exhibitors representing 594 brands, and 34,656 visitors, up 14.4% on 2024.
Who exhibits
Typical profile
The offering covers the creation, maintenance and enhancement of green spaces: equipment for green spaces and public works, lawn seed, plant protection products and fertilisers, plants, trees and shrubs, street furniture, decorative concrete, transport, accessories, spare parts and professional services.
Equipment remains the centre of gravity. In June 2024, Frédéric Bondoux, president of Profield Events Group, put the share of equipment, parts and accessories in the offering at 50%, and at 60% when public works equipment is added (Matériel & Paysage). This is what sets the show apart for a manufacturer: the site lets machines operate, including the heaviest ones such as public works machinery, branch and plant shredders and large ride-on mowers.
The organiser describes a less buoyant commercial context for 2026: 19% of new exhibitors came in to offset the erosion it attributes to the fall in the market observed since May. The edition nevertheless kept its offering up, and the Jardin Salonvert welcomed 15% more exhibitors.
Notable exhibitors
The official list still shows the 2026 exhibitors: no list has been published for 2028. It includes Barenbrug, Bobcat (alongside its dealer Tipmat), CNH Industrial France (New Holland France), Husqvarna, Kress and Ecovacs Europe.
For 2026, the website also highlighted STIHL and its ALLPRO range of professional batteries, John Deere, Rabaud and SCAG France, whose participation was to be the first official presentation of the American brand on French territory. On the landscaping side, Vivre en Bois, Espace Urbain, Lambert Clôtures and Rosetta Hardscapes were among the announced exhibitors of the Jardin Salonvert.
Visitor quality
The show presents itself as 100% professional. The Why exhibit page, without stating a reference year, gives 41% landscapers, 29% local authorities, 21% resellers and 2% landscape designers. The same page also mentions input distributors and the managers of golf courses, racecourses, and football and rugby stadiums.
The weight of distribution is the show's particular feature: the 2026 Distribution Day alone drew 4,667 visitors, up 7%. Local authorities are the other structuring audience. In 2026, the UGAP (Union des groupements d'achats publics, the French public procurement body) organised a technical day that brought together more than 40 people from its sales, purchasing and marketing teams, who came to meet the holders of its contracts.
In 2024, Matériel & Paysage ranked Salonvert at the forefront of French shows for distribution visitors, and second for total visitors, behind Paysalia. The 2026 press release reports no third-party audit of attendance.
Activities & community
Conference programme
The 2028 programme has not been published. In 2024, the Espace Conseil (advice area) offered workshops on soils, trees and lawns in the face of climate change, with one-to-one appointments booked online with bodies such as Astredhor, the MSA, SEMAE, the SFA and Unep Île-de-France (Matériel & Paysage).
Distribution Day
Tuesday is reserved for resellers and distributors, with no end customers present, under a principle dating from 2008 (Matériel & Paysage). In 2026, this day benefited for the first time from extended hours, from 8:30am to 7:00pm, to prolong exchanges with suppliers. The 2028 schedule is not detailed, but that edition also opens on a Tuesday.
Innovation Awards
Six winners were honoured in 2026 (Palmarès des Innovations) by a jury of employees or managers of landscaping companies and local authority green space departments, from more than 40 applications and a visit to the stands: DS Nature (compact telescopic pole pruner), Océwood (Bardage by Océwood), STIGA (APX PRO autonomous robot mower), OA Design (Dôme végétal), FJDynamics (FJD Rough Ranger multipurpose robot mower) and Ripagreen (ISKA Hybrid Pro weeder / blower).
Community & networks
The Jardin Salonvert brings together the landscaping of gardens and public spaces: perennials, trees, play areas, fencing, paving, gabions, street furniture, terraces. For 2026, new products for sports pitches were announced on the Gazon Sport Pro route (Gazon Sport Pro H24, 15 September 2026).
Profield Events Group also lists among its events the Salon de l'Herbe et des Fourrages and SITEVI, and publishes the Gazon Sport Pro H24 media outlet and the e-spacevert.com platform.
On the press side, the show's press review relays in particular Matériel & Paysage and Chantiers de France.
On site: what you need to know
The practical details for 2028 are yet to be published. In 2026, the show was held at the Château de Baville, rue de la Rémarde, in Saint-Chéron, with the following access: free shuttle from Massy TGV station and Massy-Palaiseau (RER B), or from Saint-Chéron station (RER C); by car, A10 exit 10 then D27, or RN20 then D97 and D116; free car parks at each entrance.
The 2026 hours ran from 8:30am to 7:00pm on Tuesday, and from 9:00am to 6:00pm on the following two days. The badge cost €5 incl. VAT for one day or €7 for two days online, against €10 and €20 on site. Resellers and distributors entered free of charge with a validated pre-registration, and had to pay €120 incl. VAT on Tuesday without pre-registration. Entry was free for under-15s and for people of foreign nationality on presentation of a passport.
The whole visit follows a single aisle, 2 km long in 2024 according to Chantiers de France. The principle gives every stand the passing public, but it has also caused disappointment: in 2024, Matériel & Paysage reported morning traffic jams at the site entrance and distributors frustrated at not being able to cut across the aisle to reach their appointments. In 2026, the official website mentioned shortcuts reserved for resellers-distributors, exhibitors and accredited journalists.
How much does it cost to exhibit
Profield Events Group publishes no price list online for Salonvert. The website offers only an exhibitor registration request, as an online form, with no detail on stand packages or prices. Terms are obtained through this form or from the sales department.
Planning your visit
For exhibitors
- Request the file early via the registration form: the site does not yet say whether it applies to 2028. Sandra Saraiva, sales director, is the contact given on the Why exhibit page.
- Weigh up GaLaBau: the Nuremberg show runs from 12 to 15 September 2028, one week before Salonvert. This proximity makes it possible to present your new products in both markets, but means planning machines and teams from the outset.
- Anticipate the build-up: in 2024, exhibitors expressed their discontent about working conditions during these days (Matériel & Paysage).
- If you sell through a network, build your presence around Tuesday: it is the time to bring your resellers together without end customers.
- Prepare an entry for the Innovation Awards if a product lends itself to it: the number of applications rose by 30% in 2026.
- For nurseries and plant growers, follow the conditions of the plant area announced for 2028, the details of which have not been published.
For decision-maker visitors
- Order your badge online before the show: the price gap was clear in 2026, and pre-registration was mandatory for resellers.
- For a reseller, come on Tuesday with your sales, technical and after-sales team, the badge covering the three days in 2026.
- Allow some leeway in the morning on arrival, or use the shuttles from the stations.
- Be equipped for a full day outdoors: the 2026 edition took place under a blazing sun (Matériel & Paysage).
CSR policy & initiatives
Neither the show's website nor that of Profield Events Group publishes a formal CSR policy, a carbon footprint or ISO 20121 certification, and no initiative specific to the Château de Baville was found.
The show's content nevertheless touches on these topics: the Innovation Awards include a Sustainable Development category, won in 2026 by a weeding solution suited to zero-pesticide maintenance, and the 2026 press release presents the future plant area as a response to the challenges of greening and sustainable landscaping. This is a sector positioning, not a quantified organisational commitment.
On the logistics side, in 2026 the show offered free shuttles from the stations and a free car-sharing service for visitors. The outdoor format has not been the subject of any quantified communication on its impact.
How the show has evolved

The outdoor show concept with demonstrations was launched in 2003 at the Château du Gué-Péan, in Monthou-sur-Cher, before moving to Saint-Chéron in 2004 (Matériel & Paysage). The 2024 figure is a result announced by the organiser and reported by the press, while those for 2020 and 2022 are pre-show announcements.
The recent trajectory is one of rising attendance: 14.2% more in 2024, then 14.4% in 2026. The 2020 edition stood out by keeping its dates, with the green light from the Essonne prefecture, while several major European shows in the sector postponed theirs (Matériel & Paysage). The 2028 plant area extends an expansion already under way, from equipment towards inputs, plants and landscaping.
