Key takeaways

  • Solar & Storage Live Paris is the French event dedicated to solar energy and electricity storage. It is held at the Parc des Expositions Paris Le Bourget and is the French edition of the international Solar & Storage Live network, also held in Birmingham, London, Amsterdam, Verona, Valencia and Zurich.
  • Organiser: Terrapinn Holdings Ltd, a British professional events company. No co-organiser.
  • Annual frequency.
  • Next edition: 2nd edition, on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 October 2026, from 9.30am to 5.30pm on the first day and 9.30am to 4.30pm on the second.
  • The first French edition was held on 5-6 November 2025 at Le Bourget and brought together 165 exhibitors (source: Batirama). The trade show is moving from its November slot to October in 2026.
  • Free entry on registration to both the exhibition and the entire conference programme. The trade show is strictly for professionals: entry is prohibited to under-16s.
  • Targets announced by the organiser for 2026: more than 6,500 attendees, more than 100 exhibitors and more than 100 speakers across four conference theatres (Utility-Scale Projects, Storage, Commercial and Industrial, Residential).

Who exhibits

Typical profile

The offer covers the full value chain of photovoltaics and battery storage: modules and cells, inverters and micro-inverters, mounting structures and canopies, residential, commercial and industrial storage systems, design and sizing software, engineering consultancies, financiers and legal advisers. The four project segments structure both the exhibition and the conference programme: residential, commercial and industrial, ground-mounted utility-scale projects, storage.

On the visitor side, the organiser targets solar installers, EPC contractors, project developers, energy suppliers, transmission and distribution network operators, large energy consumers, landowners and property developers, local authorities, and operations and maintenance providers.

Notable exhibitors

The full list is published on the sponsors and exhibitors page of the official website. Companies announced for the 2026 edition include inverter and storage specialists Fronius France, Enphase Energy, SolaX Power, SofarSolar and FoxESS, electrical equipment manufacturer Socomec, developer BayWa r.e., French industrial players Voltec Solar (modules), Heliup (ultra-lightweight modules for flat roofs) and Syrius Solar Industry (solar thermal, photovoltaic and storage), structure and canopy manufacturers Adiwatt, Mecosun, GSE Integration and SL Rack, as well as software providers RatedPower, Glint Solar and Trace Software International.

The 2025 edition already showcased French innovation: concrete canopies from Rector, second-life batteries sourced from electric vehicles by Revolty, a hybrid photovoltaic-hydrogen system from Breton company H2Gremm, and consumption tracking via electrical signature from ecojoko (source: Batirama).

Quality of the audience

No audited attendance figure has been published for the first edition. The available signal is qualitative: the 165 exhibitors in 2025 reported being very satisfied with footfall, engagement and the business discussions held on their stands, in a format the trade press described as small but promising (source: Batirama).

The organiser describes a catchment area that is overwhelmingly from the Paris region, supplemented by Normandy, Hauts-de-France, Grand Est, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Centre-Val de Loire, with occasional visitors travelling from Lille, Rouen, Bordeaux, Lyon, Nantes and Marseille.

Events & community

Conference programme

The programme is free and accessible with a visitor badge, with no prior registration required for sessions. It runs across four themed theatres. The Utility-Scale Projects theatre covers public policy and the regulatory framework, grid connection and its reforms, planning and site selection, solar farms and legal issues. The Storage theatre covers flexibility, scaling up, EV charging infrastructure and co-location. The Commercial and Industrial theatre is devoted to case studies, financing and PPA contracts, construction standards and micro-grids. The Residential theatre addresses installer training and certification, self-consumption, public support schemes and the net-zero-energy home.

Speakers announced for 2026 include representatives from the Commission de régulation de l'énergie, RTE, ADEME, the Syndicat des énergies renouvelables, the European Investment Bank, TotalEnergies, Groupe ADP, SNCF Renouvelables and Voltec Solar. Neither recordings nor presentation materials are made available afterwards.

Start-up area

A dedicated area welcomes young companies in solar, storage and charging infrastructure. Eligibility criteria apply: the company must have been founded after 2020, have a team of fifteen people or fewer, revenue below one million euros in the last financial year, and no paid participation in another Terrapinn event.

Community & networks

The trade show sits within an already busy French calendar for the energy sector: BePOSITIVE in Lyon on building and renewable energy, Energaia in Montpellier in December, Pollutec on the environment, and, at European level, The smarter E Europe in Munich, the benchmark event for the solar and storage sector.

The Parc des Expositions Paris Le Bourget also hosts the Paris Air Show in odd-numbered years.

On site: what you need to know

For access, parking and accommodation, see the venue page: Parc des Expositions Paris Le Bourget, Carrefour Charles Lindbergh, 93350 Le Bourget.

Specific to the trade show: opening hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm on Wednesday 14 October and 9.30am to 4.30pm on Thursday 15 October, with registration opening at 9.30am both days. The visitor badge is free and provides access to the exhibition and all conferences over both days. A Premium Visitor Pass is available for €990, reduced to €690 for any booking made before 18 September; it unlocks access to the full list of participants on the app and unlimited meeting requests. Under-16s are not admitted.

The venue is served by RER B, Le Bourget station, and an Île-de-France ticket is required; the standard t+ ticket is not valid. Viparis, the operator of the venue, also states that the area around the site will be served by automated metro Line 17, Le Bourget Aéroport station.

The event is paperless: there is no printed programme or brochure, everything runs through the official app, available shortly before opening, which serves as the floor plan, exhibitor directory and personalised agenda. Accommodation is managed via HotelMap, with a green hotel filter.

How much it costs to exhibit

Terrapinn does not publish a price list for stands at Solar & Storage Live Paris. Pricing is available on request, via the exhibitor form on the official website or the event's sales contact, and depends on the size and location chosen.

Only one item has a published price: the start-up area pod. The official website lists €395 at the super early-bird rate until 14 April 2026, €495 at the early-bird rate from 15 April to 13 July 2026, then €595 at the standard rate from 14 July to 14 October 2026, excluding any applicable taxes. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

As a first benchmark, this pod is the lowest entry point at the trade show, but it is reserved for organisations meeting the start-up area's eligibility criteria. Any other participation requires a quote.

Preparing your visit

For the exhibitor

  • Request the exhibitor prospectus and floor plan in advance: locations are allocated on a rolling basis and the trade show remains modest in size, which makes positioning decisive.
  • Check eligibility for the start-up area before requesting a stand quote: the pod from €395 completely changes the economics of a first participation.
  • Build your pitch around project segments rather than technology alone: the audience is split between residential, commercial and industrial, and large-scale projects, with very different decision cycles.
  • Plan for the logistics of Le Bourget: the venue is on the northern outskirts of Paris and team access is mainly via RER B.
  • Plan for product demonstrations: the organiser schedules case studies and demonstrations throughout the two days, giving a second form of exposure beyond the stand.

For the decision-making visitor

  • Registration is free and covers both days and all conferences: there is no reason to limit your visit to half a day if a project decision is under way.
  • Compare the cost of the Premium Pass to the number of meetings you actually want: beyond a few targeted meetings, access to the participant list and unlimited meeting requests become worthwhile.
  • Download the app as soon as it goes live: without it there is neither an agenda nor a floor plan, since nothing is printed.
  • Target the Storage theatre if the topic is flexibility, co-location or output management: this is the segment currently shaping the new business models in solar.
  • Book via HotelMap if an overnight stay is needed, as the venue is some distance from Paris's main hotel concentrations.

Policy & CSR initiatives

The event publishes a dedicated sustainability practices page, built around several operational commitments. The trade show removes aisle carpeting and plastic badge holders, installs free water fountains on site, and runs without a printed programme or brochure, with all information available through the app.

On catering, the organiser states it is working with the venue to remove single-use plastic tableware and to systematically include vegetarian and vegan options on menus. On production, it states it works only with suppliers able to demonstrate sustainable practices and designs its fittings using materials that are reused from one trade show to the next.

The organiser also states it tracks carbon emissions linked to attendee travel, waste and the event's energy consumption.

These measures are underpinned by the sustainability policy published by the Terrapinn group, which has committed to measuring the emissions of each of its events since 2023, to reducing them by 50% against their baseline year and offsetting the remainder by 2027 to reach carbon neutrality, then reducing them by 90% by 2050 to reach net zero. The same policy provides for menus made up of 50% plant-based options since 2023, the removal of plastic badge holders from the end of 2023, the removal of aisle carpeting by 2025 where the venue allows it, and stage sets that are 80% recyclable. Terrapinn is a member of isla, the UK association dedicated to sustainable transformation in the events sector.

No ISO 20121 certification specific to Solar & Storage Live Paris has been published to date.

The venue does, however, provide a certified foundation. Viparis, the operator of the Parc des Expositions Paris Le Bourget, has held ISO 20121 certification across all its sites since 2014, making it the first operator in the events sector worldwide to obtain this certification across its entire portfolio, and has run its Better Events policy since 2018, with a roadmap to 2030 and a sustainability statement aligned with the European CSRD directive published in 2024.

Trajectory analysis

The trade show has only one edition behind it, which rules out any reading of trend. Two signals are nonetheless usable. First, stability: the venue is confirmed again at Le Bourget and the 2026 dates were already announced at the close of the first edition. Second, the shift from November to October, which moves the trade show away from Energaia, held in December, and brings it closer to the rhythm of year-end budget decisions.

Market context explains the arrival of a new entrant in this slot. According to pv magazine France, France connected close to 5.9 GW of photovoltaic capacity in 2025, a historic record well above the 4.7 GW of 2024, of which 65% came from the 100 to 500 kWc segment alone, driven by businesses, farmers and local authorities, up 38% year on year. Residential declined over the same period, to 929 MW against 1,080 MW in 2024, after a prolonged wait for reduced-VAT eligibility criteria and the fourfold cut to the feed-in tariff for surplus power under 3 kWc.

For an exhibitor, the point to watch is therefore not visitor volume but segment fit. The market is shifting from volume to value, with residential installations recentring on 3 to 6 kWc paired with storage, and professionals stacking storage, PPAs and collective self-consumption to do without subsidy (source: pv magazine France). The trade show's format follows exactly this shift, with a conference theatre entirely dedicated to storage and flexibility, and an exhibition that brings together module manufacturers and battery suppliers side by side.

Unless otherwise stated, all factual data in this listing comes from the organiser's official website (terrapinn.com).
