France is the world's leading cosmetics powerhouse, and its trade show calendar reflects this. But the sector is fragmented across several commercial logics: the professional market (hair salons, beauty institutes), pharmacy distribution, the perfumery channel, luxury and the export market. Each channel has its own dedicated events.

For an exhibitor, the first question is: am I looking to win over distributors or beauty professionals? The second trade-off: Paris or the international market? The two are not interchangeable.

The benchmark trade shows in France

Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna (Bologna, annual in March, BolognaFiere) is the world's leading professional beauty trade show, with more than 2,300 exhibitors from 70 countries and over 170,000 visitors. Cosmetic 360 (Paris, annual in October, Carrousel du Louvre) targets the decision-makers and buyers of the major brands with 300 to 400 specialist exhibitors. Pharmagora Plus (Paris, annual in March, CloserStill Media) features a significant cosmetics and dermo-cosmetics strand through the Victoires de la Pharmacie.

Specialist trade shows

The Salon International de la Coiffure (Paris, biennial) is the gathering point for hairdressers and hair-care suppliers. Interbeauté covers the aesthetics and beauty-institute market. Natexpo (Lyon, biennial) has a sizeable natural cosmetics space for organic-sector players.

The major European and global trade shows

Beautyworld Middle East (Dubai, annual in October, Messe Frankfurt) has become the world's third-largest beauty trade show. The 2025 edition brought together 2,000 exhibitors and 71,000 visitors from 160 countries, with a 70% rise in French visitors. Beautyworld Frankfurt and in-cosmetics round out the European calendar for raw-material manufacturers.

Beyond the trade shows

The Cosmetic Valley runs its own B2B meetings and its annual congress. The Trophées de la Beauté and the beauty-tech influencer communities play a growing role in the discovery of new products.
